Would've loved to give this place a better review. I got maybe four tattoos from this place, excellent work. They just have a lack of communication. I've texted heily for a touch up and got zero response. I then texted Vincent for a touch up, and also got zero response. Like I needed a touch up within my 90 days but nobody replied to me. I took my friend here for her first tattoo and I tried to get a touch up for her as well but nobody replied. I thought it was just rude considering I tipped so much as well. read more

I'm currently working with Tom on adding three Japanese koi tattoos to my existing koi tattoo (family of 4), and I have to say, the experience has been fantastic! Tom is not only incredibly talented but also truly dedicated to making sure the new designs blend perfectly with the original piece. From our initial consultation, Tom took the time to understand my vision and offered thoughtful suggestions that really enhanced the concept. He has a deep knowledge of Japanese art and symbolism, which adds a meaningful layer to the project. I appreciate how he values collaboration, making me feel like an active part of the creative process. During our sessions, Tom's skill is evident. His attention to detail is remarkable; each koi is being carefully crafted to ensure they harmonize with the existing tattoo. The colors he's using are vibrant and beautifully blended, making the whole piece come to life. Tom has also been great at making the experience comfortable and enjoyable. He keeps me informed about what he's doing and checks in regularly to ensure I'm doing okay. The atmosphere in his studio is relaxed and welcoming, which makes each session a pleasure. I'll be coming back to this place as everything is great, from making the appointment, paying the deposit, to no waiting time and great tattoo session + small care package. I came in for a second tattoo, but with Di, and again my experience was great. I was more of a last minute appointment, but working with Di was easy and quick. We briefly talked about placement before she left to draw it up. The actual inking process took close to 4.5 hrs with a few breaks in between. We didn't talk very much but she did check in that I was doing okay here and there. The piece came out beautifully and is already healing really quickly. Love 9Dragons and would go back for more. read more

I've been here a few times and I highly recommend Heily! She's got great attention to detail and her work always looks so good. They gave me boba at the end of my session and Heily had a box of goodies to pick from, ranging from false lashes to hair clips and other cute things. I got me a free pair of falsies heheh. After I sent my tattoo drawing, she recommended the appropriate color and size. She advised me not to go too big on my tattoo and adjusted the butterfly position. Heily (@heily_9dragons on Instagram) created the most stunning piece I have to date and I seriously could not be more content with the outcome! She made the booking extremely easy, quick and straight forward--breaking down the price and providing the first available date and time. Make sure to read her highlights on her Instagram in order to book the appointment properly!!! On the day of, Heily confirmed the appointment a couple hours before coming in and reminded me to bring cash for the appointment itself. I arrived about 10 minutes early and after the paperwork was all done, Heily and I briefly discussed what I wanted to solidify the plan. She immediately got to work, freehand sketching the design on my forearm. We double checked one last time that the design was up to par and at this point, it was already beyond my expectations! Heily started tattooing which took about 40-50 minutes, (shading will forever be the death of me and she got through it so quick, bless her heart lol) and I got to walk out with my favorite tattoo yet. She's such a sweetheart and an incredibly talented artist, I can't speak more highly of her work. I've definitely found the artist I plan on sticking with for any future pieces and I can't wait for the next time I see her! read more

Been here twice and Heily (@heily__9dragons) has been my tattoo artist both times. She's very sweet and nice! My first time at the tattoo shop was very smooth and you can tell that they kept everything sterile/clean. Heily's prices have always been so affordable and reasonable as well. She has done a total of four tattoos for me. She is very responsive and extremely patient with questions. The first time, I wanted a small dainty calligraphy piece of my last name in Chinese on my wrist and the other two were of my dog's and cat's face on my inner arm. All three healed up very well and so easily! The second time I got a small tattoo on my shoulder close to my collar bone that I wanted to cover-up and requested Heily to do a piece with a snake, peony and butterflies. I sent her a bunch of reference photos and was able to free-hand my piece. Really loved how all three elements came out at the end, especially the snake since I was a little more in between the look of it but it came out so nice. I appreciate her covering up my tattoo up with this beautiful piece!! read more

My experience with Heily today was amazing! I had shown her a reference of a floral piece that I wanted on my collar bone that wraps around to the back of my shoulder and she executed, wonderfully. I initially had inquired with Heily about a small piece I was looking to get behind my ear; however, I decided to change the piece and placement completely for something bigger last minute. 10/10 to Heily for being very adaptable, accommodating, attentive, and light handed! All the tattoo artists here were friendly and welcoming - In celebration of Lunar New Year, they invited all clients mid session to gather outside with them to light up fireworks & firecrackers in front of their business. This is for my tattoo artist I had Heily. I found her on IG by a promo account. I booked a session with her because of her Solid lines. Good at shading. She has a Light hand which is always a plus for me. It only took her a few minutes to draw the rose I got tattooed. The interior of the shop is nicely set up. Great color contrast. Very clean. I got my tattoo done here by Heily about a week ago! The place was neat and appeared to be sanitized well. Heily worked quickly but still did an amazing job of making the tattoo look beautiful. When I asked how long it would take, she said approx 3-3.5 hours, but the actual tattoo only took a little over 2 hours to complete. Her work is very reasonably priced for how detailed she is, so make sure to tip your artists well. They also offer snacks and water for people that need it. I enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be coming back to get more tattoos done in the future. read more

I just got my first tattoo here on Thursday. I have wanted one for a long time but never knew what I wanted. I recently decided on the "Lone Cypress" which is located on 17 Mile Drive in the Pebble Beach, CA area. I am a serious golfer. I love the beauty of the coastline through that area and Pebble Beach is my favorite golf course. The Lone Cypress is the logo for the Pebble Beach properties, including the golf course. Anyway, 9 Dragons Inc came highly recommended by a few friends and a few strangers. When I went to talk to them about it, they felt Heily would be the best artist for my tattoo. I saw her work and thought she would indeed be a great choice. I absolutely love my new tattoo. Heily did an amazing job. She is a true artist. The friends that have seen it, love it and said it's one of the coolest tattoos they have ever seen, especially knowing I am a golfer and the meaning behind the Lone Cypress. **This review is for Vincent only!** I'm usually a wimp when it comes to pain, but Vincent made sure my experience getting this tattoo was super quick and not scary at all!! I got a wave with moon and stars on my ribcage, and although I was anticipating a lot of pain, it wasn't bad at all. He was super nice and his calm demeanor helped me relax. My tattoo only took around 15 minutes! Furthermore, he answered all of my questions on how to take care of it. Although he's an apprentice right now, I see a lot of future potential for Vincent. I may be coming back in the future...I want more tattoos now!! read more

I had my tattoo done with Di! And I love it so much! It makes me want to have more! Di is pretty popular so be sure to book in advance. I had been following her for a year on Instagram... Follow all her instructions on her account if your interested (@dii_9dragons). She's super professional and just amazing! I let her have full reign on the design. I just told her what I liked before hand. She freehanded everything and I'm so in love with it! I've had 3 prior tattoos and have never liked any of them. She even covered the small one on my wrist as best she could. Cant say enough good things about Di. The tattoo parlor itself is clean, a little small- there are about 4 areas for each artist on the bottom floor separated by folding dividers and one space upstairs in the loft space. Everyone seemed friendly and professional. Funny fact- they were playing 80's ballads... and at one point Di, myself and my cousin were all singing along. read more

I came here to get a small scripture tattoo by Di and I was happy about my overall experience! My appointment was at 11AM on a Saturday but when I arrived it seemed like the rest of the shop was still closed, so it was pretty quiet. I didn't mind at all and as I was waiting for Di to finish sketching my piece, I was just observing how clean and modern it looked inside. Regarding my tattoo experience, Di was very nice and kept making sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted. I can see how it could be hard to communicate clearly with her because English is her second language but luckily I speak her first language so everything went smoothly! She got to work on my piece and I'm super happy with how it turned out! She did very well with the fine lines and I can tell she's very detailed. Overall I have no complaints with my experience!! I drove 2 hours from Sacramento for my first tattoo as a recommendation from my friend because he said: "This shop is the best one in SJ." I checked on Instagram and knew that all the artists have long waiting lists but somehow, I got an appointment with Ms. Heily (@heily__9dragons) . She was nice, sweet, patient, and very talented. (Don't let her young appearance fool you). She made my "first-time" comfortable and smooth. In conclusion, my friend was right. Lmao this isn't a fake account! I've been using yelp for years.. Sorry to anyone who it may have confused but this was a personal experience I had my appointment with Di! She is so sweet and talented. My experience was amazing and I had no problems when it came to deposit ($100) and paying her the amount the day of. It came out to $200 total for my tattoo, completely reasonable for the size and detail. I showed her a reference picture and she came back with a design that was 100% perfect. It didn't hurt too bad either, the numbing cream helps! In fact I wish I had tipped her but sadly I had no more cash on me at the time!! :( She told me to come back for a touch up if needed but 2 months later it still looks so GOOD. I seriously can't wait to set up my next appointment with her. read more

Di does a great job I had a hand tattoo. Some people don't know but if you have friends that tattoo they'll tell you hand tattoos fade quickly. Or you can look online. Mine started fading within a month. Not a problem at all I simply booked some touch ups with Di. So far I've gotten 3 touch ups. I love my tattoo and I can't wait for the next one. I paid via Venmo every time. I personally never had an issue. There are several people working in the tattoo shop. They run several different business in there. When I walked in everyone is usually busy. I don't expect someone that is tattooing or doing a facial tattoo to stop a greet me. I can see how some people would be disturbed by it. However I wouldn't expect an artist to stop just to greet me. You don't walk in to a concert expecting the artist to greet you. Everyone in there is an artist working very. I would recommend Di to anyone. Her prices are fair if you want a good tattoo. I paid over $120, I could have paid less at Players ink in San Jose but I wanted a well done tattoo. Her lines are clean. Di is truly an artist. read more

Tiffany was very nice and patient. She made sure that I had all of the answers before proceeding with the tattooing. It's about an inch tattoo on my arm, so it only took like 15min. The pain was manageable without any numbing cream. It was more intense when tattooing over some scars. I followed Tiffany's instructions on after care and everything went smoothly. It's been almost a month and I love how it turned out. I recommend Tiffany.

When I first walked in, the sweet girl behind the counter listened to my concern and wrote down my name so I could see the piercer (Jason)! The wait wasn't long until it was my turn as a walk-in and Jason took a look at my piercing and cleaned it up very thoroughly before changing me to a higher quality stud. Jason is super thorough with his work and he explained to me why I wasn't healing properly due to the bad quality stud that I received from another piercing shop. In the end, I paid $30 for the new stud that's high quality and I thought the price was a good deal!!! I will definitely come back for more piercing:)

I still have a few touch ups and cross to add, but wow! So far, I'm already in love with my tattoo. I've gotten tons of compliments on the crisp lines and intricate details he did!
