I had an incredible experience at New Generation, and I can't recommend Jayden enough. After seeing her work on Instagram, I reached out via email for a consult, and from the start she was responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with. We began with a full one-hour consultation in-person, where she really took the time to get to know my ideas. We brainstormed together, looked at different styles, and talked through what I liked and didn't like. I never felt rushed or dismissed--Jayden genuinely listened, which made me feel confident moving forward. I sent my deposit via Zelle at the end of the consult, and everything felt very smooth and organized. My tattoo was done over three sessions, spaced about a month apart to allow proper healing. Jayden made every session comfortable and enjoyable, she's such a joy to be tattooed by. You can truly tell how passionate she is about her art and her style, and it honestly feels special knowing you're giving her the opportunity to tattoo you. This piece ended up being the largest project Jayden has ever taken on, and it was also the biggest piece I've ever gotten, which made the entire experience feel even more special and truly an honor for me. The care and attention she put into it really show in the final result. I paid cash for each session, and everything was straightforward. Jayden also checked in often via text throughout the healing process and offered suggestions whenever I had questions or concerns, which I really appreciated. Also, huge shoutout to Justin, Phong, Brandon, and Thuy for being so friendly and keeping the shop energy high at every session - it really made the studio feel welcoming and comfortable. I found her after doing a ton of research on tattoo shops with great reviews in the Bay Area, and when I landed on New Generation Tattoo's site and saw her portfolio, I was in awe. Her work is pure art - the way she captures the beauty and nuances of nature is breathtaking. Her booking process was super straightforward (all clearly explained on her Instagram), and she was so easy and kind to communicate with throughout. She did such an incredible job bringing my vision to life, and she made the whole experience feel so comfortable and easy, even though it was my very first tattoo! We finished it in one session, and honestly, the time flew by thanks to her gentle touch and her genuinely warm personality. Her attention to detail is superb and I seriously cannot recommend her enough. On top of that, everyone else at the shop (special shoutout to Long, Toan, Justin, and Dan) was so friendly and welcoming; they really made me feel like part of the community!
I first discovered Phong while scrolling through Instagram searching for artists. Once I stumbled upon his page and viewed his work, it completely resonated with me, which led me to sending him a DM. All the communication to confirm the tattoo and appointment was handled through IG. Throughout all the messages, Phong was very transparent about the process--from asking for details about the tat and placement to discussing pricing, setting up the appointment, and confirming it with a deposit. It was seamless. On the day of the appointment, once I arrived, Phong shared some ideas with me, and you can modify them to your liking until you reach a drawing you're satisfied with--which is exactly what I did. I never felt rushed and really appreciated that. During the session, I enjoyed chatting with him while withstanding the pain of being tatted, but regardless of the pain, it was still a great overall experience. Once the session was over, as with any artist, he went over aftercare tips, but what I also loved is that he has the care instructions posted on his IG page. In this age, digital and convenience are always appreciated. As for the tattoo, I'm very satisfied. He brought my vision to life--the piece I'd been wanting for a while. I always knew I wanted a flat and minimal hourglass but didn't know what the final image should look like, which is why I went to Phong after seeing his work. He did a phenomenal job, and it was great working and chatting with him. His attention to detail and stippling work is excellent. If you're thinking about getting a realistic tattoo and appreciate heavy attention to detail, including stippling, Phong is your guy. Book him as soon as you can if you decide to get one, as he's very busy and his work speaks for itself. In addition, you're paying for quality, so if the price is out of your range, he may not be the artist for you.
If I could give a higher rating, I would because my previous reviews still hold true. The amount of dedication and passion that goes into each and every one of Van's work is truly out of this world. I had given an inspiration collage and she did that plus more. I knew that she only had ever done small snakes but I trusted her to show case her talent and with that she did. She was constantly making sure I was okay and communicated very well on what she was doing. Van and everyone at the shop was so fun to be around to the point where it felt like I blinked and we were done. She posted the premade design on her stories and replied back to me fairly quickly. The blackberries and flower concept is super cute and her lines came out so crisp and clean! She made me comfortable throughout the entire tattooing process. The shop was also a genuinely welcoming space. I would highly recommend coming here and booking with Jayden!! Especially if you're looking for something a bit bolder or darker.
I reached out to New Generation tattoo with info on a tattoo I've been wanting for a very long time. This tattoo has a deep meaning to me, and I read all the good reviews here. They had Dan help me and I am beyond happy! Dan is extremely talented at fine line. I nearly cried when I saw the finished product. So so clean and for a good price too. Your $50 deposit goes to your appointment too. Dan was so patient and reassuring throughout the process and funny! Thank you for listening to me and answering all my questions and concerns. I felt so heard and comfortable. This is by far the best tattooing experience I've had out of my now 8 tattoos. Everything in the establishment is super clean and not scary, the music is great and everyone else is really nice. Lots of snacks and water too if you need it. I will be coming solely back to here from now on.

Van took my vision and brought it to fruition. Her freehand skills made the tattoo placement contour with my forearm perfectly. Van asked me what direction I wanted the peony to be facing, which demonstrated the level of care and detail she puts into her work. I cannot wait for this to heal because it's the most beautiful tattoo I have in my collection and I can't say thank you enough. Had such a great experience here! First thing I noticed is how clean the place is. My tattoo artist ( @tattchiu on Instagram) was amazing! He was very patient with me while we together figured out sizing (printing out several options and editing any changes I wanted in the design), and did an incredible job with my tattoo. I would recommend this place and artist to anyone and everyone.
had a great experience at new generation with Jayden! cannot recommend her as an artist enough. i loved how excited she was to do my tattoo. she made sure to take time in speaking with me in regards to what i wanted. she was very good at letting me know what could and couldn't be done and what changes needed to occur. the appointment itself was very fun and not once did it feel awkward or weird - she has a very fun personality and it made talking with her (both in general and about the tattoo) very easy. she made sure to explain every single step of what she was doing and answered all of my questions, along with explaining proper aftercare. the art itself is beautiful, i love my dragon and Jayden's style is so pretty, i love the shading. i would highly suggest booking an appointment with her and plan on booking with her again in the future. thank you Jayden for the awesome tattoo and fun experience! i look forward to seeing you again :)

I walked in and was greated by an amazing group of tattoo artists. This was my first time coming into this tattoo shop and I left wanting to go back again for any future tattoos. Tuan was so friendly and was very detailed on the tattoo. He made sure to not rush the process. I am in love with the way this fine line tattoo came out. Van is so talented and she designed a tattoo that honored my grandma perfectly--honestly even better than I imagined. The studio is super clean, she makes you feel comfortable, and she takes her time to make sure everything feels right. My tattoo only took about an hour (most of the time was deciding size and placement ). She was so gentle... I even dozed off mid-session! She specializes in fine line, floral, and lettering tattoos, but is open to other styles too--definitely reach out if you're interested in her work. I got my tattoo done by Toan, such a light hand and made it a great experience for me. I'm really scared of needles and I didn't feel it at all, i highly recommend him for lettering. I recently got a tattoo with Long at New Generation Tattoo. This is my second time getting a piece from him and I plan to come back again to finish out the rest of my arm in the future. He is exceptionally talented and a master of his craft. If you are looking to get a piece that looks hyper-realistic, detailed, and truly appealing to the eye -- then go see this man. As always the process of getting the tattoo with Long was a breeze -- I gave him an idea, he designed the piece, and was ready to get to work. He's responsive, friendly, professional, and very meticulous in his craft. In addition to his handiwork he has created an enjoyable, safe, and friendly atmosphere for anyone who is interested in getting tattoos. I'm glad I chose New Generation to be the place where I get my first tattoo! I booked with Van and I'm so glad I did! She is so, so sweet and welcoming. I booked with her in September and it was a seamless process. Throughout the process, she kept checking in with me to make sure I was okay and comfortable, and calmed my nerves. She is fun to talk to and makes the process go by fast. She even offers snacks and breaks, which I really appreciated. You can tell the entire staff is one big family. I had a great experience with Van! I messaged her in November and she reached back out to me in two weeks. We booked an appointment for January. I texted her what I wanted and the placement. On the day of the appointment we worked on the sketch and details of the piece. She made sure I had what I wanted, and I also gave her the ability of creativity. During the whole process, she made sure I was comfortable and gave me as many breaks as I needed. She constantly asked if I wanted any snacks and a water break. Her hospitality is unmatched. She's an easy-going person that we talked about anything to make time go by. I would definitely book with her again for other pieces in the future. I recently had a tattoo by Jayden, and I cannot emphasize enough how amazing she is. This was an important moment for me, I was getting a memorial tattoo in honor of my 21y/o son who died very suddenly and unexpectedly 7 months ago. From our very first discussion about what I was envisioning, and best placement, she was warm, understanding, and really understood the importance of this for me. On the day of the tattoo she was so supportive and thoughtful about my emotions which was a blessing. She is very skilled at what she does, she made a few revisions, gave honest opinions about size and placement etc and the tattoo process itself was very relaxed. My tattoo is amazing, it is everything I wanted and more. The detail, the shading, the initial Z with a heart on it. Whether it's your first tattoo or many, there's always a mix of excitement, nerves, and a bit of fear. This was my third tattoo, and I still felt all those emotions -- but working with Van completely put me at ease. I've followed her work for a while and finally got the chance to get tattooed by her. She's so sweet, easy to talk to, and genuinely attentive to your needs. She took the time to ensure the design and size were exactly what I wanted, and during the tattooing process, checked in throughout to make sure I was comfortable. During my visit, I met with Justin Reid, one of the artist and New Generation. During the consultation, he gave great advice, offered different point of views, provided artistic recommendation, and allowed for freedom of expression on both sides. Collaboration at its finest. Friendly environment. Great for those getting inked for the first time. Super awesome for those who have multiple tattoos. Jayden was my tattoo artist for this piece.I went in feeling very nervous and anxious.I have a few tattoos already however they are small and this was going to be my biggest piece so far.Jayden was extremely nice, and patient she walked me through every step and kept checking in on me to see how I was feeling.My piece took about 3 hours and it was very detailed and since day 1 I have been getting compliments left and right.The inspiration behind my tattoo was my daughter.Isa who just turned 7 months.Every time I look at it, I fall in love again and again.I highly recommend Jayden for your tattoo artist, she's great! read more

Van (IG: vxn.ink) is phenomenal. She's booked out pretty far but worth the wait. Lots of communication on what I was looking for, she showed me her sketches the day of and she was eager to make sure the final piece was what I wanted. She's a true artist, once she started tattooing, this was her piece of art. She had a vision and it was great having an opportunity to watch her work. Shes determined to make sure the piece turns out the best and she will not stop short of perfection. I really admire her determination and appreciate how every tattoo is personal not just to the client but to her as well, it's her work of art and she will commit to making sure it's the best. The fine line detail and the amount of attention she has for shading is amazing. She is top tier in her design and execution. Shes got a very gentle touch and great attitude. This is not the smallest piece I have but took the longest but she made the time go by very quickly. Healing process was very quick. This piece she put on me is by far my favorite and I really wish I had discovered her sooner. I can't say enough great things about her. read more

Van (@vxn.ink on Instagram) did both my first and second tattoos. Both of which are fine line/floral. She did an amazing job translating all of the pictures and words I wrote to her in my messages into a truly unique and beautiful vision that I get to carry with me everywhere. She's friendly, she listens closely to what you're asking for, works with you to get all of the details just right and then brings it all to life. Thuy is amazing so helpful so easy to work with and not to mention so talented! I had 3 other tattoos and all of them started to fade on my skin and this made me so scared to get more tattoos.
