I took my daughter and got her little fingerprints as stars on my hand, along with elemental symbols on my fingers and a quote on my inner forearm. AMAZING TATTOO EXPERIENCE AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP! I got my first tattoo with Branda and honestly, I think I'll always be coming back to her or Joe if I decide I want another tattoo in the future! At first, I wanted ISOKNOCK's niteharts logo on the top right back of my body. However, Branda's placement lecture was very informative and she completely transformed my tattoo idea into something BETTER! We looked through Pinterest for about an hour with NO RUSH until I decided I was satisfied with the design and placement. It meant a lot to me that Branda cared about the placement of my tattoo so if I wanted, I could get future back tattoos without having an awkward and out of place tattoo on the side of my back. I don't think I'll go to another group of artists for as long as I'm in the Bay Area (and honestly, I might even travel for it). When I arrived, Tiffany, the tattoo apprentice, noticed my continuous glucose monitor and made sure my blood sugar was okay before we even got started, and continued to check on me the entire time. Joseph was fantastic. My tattoo involved a lot of fine work, which I knew had to be a pain for him, but he was always very friendly and personable. The group here feels like a family, and there were several points where we were all talking together as I was getting my tattoo. Joseph worked late to get this finished for me, and then walked me to my car when we were through, which I thought was so nice. Coming here felt like visiting old friends, which was a large part of why I loved this group so much. WOW. Where do I start?! From the quick response by Jo himself, or the friendly, bubbly, beautiful Lauren who greeted us in the lobby?! First of all, this was my first time having the honor of Jo tattooing me. I do have a tattoo artist who has done amazing art on me, but something drew me to search out a place in Milpitas while I was waiting for my mom's luncheon to end, as I was her ride. That's when I discovered the most breathtaking work (the dragons are fire)by Jo. I wasn't sure if he would agree to be the artist of my sweet, love of my life boy (cat), Mr. Tigg.,but I was going to ask. Depending on my conversation while sharing my vision with Jo, my gut would ultimately take over and decide if a portrait was the end result. Just like it did when it lead me to The Skull Serpent Dagger in the first place. We talked it over, exchanged ideas, and sure enough, it was confirmed. My gut decided, it was "The Mr. Tigg Portrait" Day. Jo originally scheduled me a shorter time window appt since I led him to believe I was getting a much smaller tat(I had ideas to have just his eyes put on me), so in reality I wasn't even sure if he would agree to do it that day. Once we both confirmed the placement of the portrait, I was all in, and in full trust with Jo. He was just as excited as I was to start. The fact that he was so cool to still do my work, even though I took up twice the amount of his time than he had originally planned. The detail of his work is so mesmerizing, that it shows not only his artistic ability, but his genuine dedication in bringing Mr. Tigg to life. His passion for his craft is undeniable, and I am over the top in love with my tat.
