Had such a great experience here at Daruma Ink I was surprised to see a tattoo shop with neat planted in a location like this! Not that there's anything wrong with the location it's actually perfect! Literally a walking distance from my house. So my sister and I was supposed to get matching tattoos together for my 23rd birthday! But she keeps flaking on me contemplating if she really should get one or not, even though she says she wants to get it with me lol I was able to get a session with Denise who's work is incredible. I wish I had a symbol or an illustration in mind to challenge her creativity but at the moment I want something simple and meaningful at the same time. So I got the serenity prayer on my right rib cage area. I suffered from depression and anxiety for years and years and I always find myself praying for my serenity. It's a constant reminder that life is what you make it and you should learn to accept it and grow from it. It took about three hours to complete. I'm so grateful that she was able to fit me in her busy schedule! She was supposed to be booked til the next following year but Bc one of her client wasn't able to hold their spot she was able to squeeze me in. read more

Khuong truly does not disappoint. His wait list is long as fuh but surely surely surely worth the wait. He did my last tattoo years ago and I've been secretly stalking him since. Found him here at Daruma Ink. I contacted him and his assistant (super adorable blondie) returned my message quickly and promptly. Because my newest piece is a small(ish) add on, I was directed to Denise (his apprentice) for my tattoo. I collaborated with Khuong on the design and Denise tattooed me. Don't be fooled by her baby face. She may not look like your stereotypical tattoo artist but she is damn effing good. She has the hands of a surgeon -it didn't hurt one bit! Studio is sparkly clean and new. Decor is chic with mostly Japanese art, creating a calming effect. No ugly 'I heart mom', stars or rose tattoos on display here! They operate by appointments only so you don't get interrupted by the nasty random walk-ins requesting tattoos on their pen is. Price is fair, paid hourly and vary depending on the tattoo artist. I got my tattoo done about 2 months ago and I am in loOoOve with it!!! Denise is so professional, friendly, creative and super fast on responding back to messages too. I had sent her so many photos through text messages on what I wanted to achieve and until the day of my appointment, I was still indecisive lol. I told Denise to work her magic and trusted her since I've seen her work through instagram and I was so impressed of her work after it was done. My tattoo looked clean cut and the colors were so vibrant. She did a couple tones of colors to make my cherry blossom leafs look like 3D. I came here on Saturday to get my tattoo done by Denise. I came early and waited for her. When she arrived, she showed me two sketches. I wanted her to change the bottom portion and she was able to do it quickly. After that, we checked the sizing of my tattoo. She printed out two different sizes for me but I ended up wanting to make it a little bigger so she went back and did it. Despite all these changes I wanted, she stayed friendly and patient with me. After that she executed the tattoo flawlessly and kept my needs at top priority. After my tattoo, she gave me after care instructions and told me I could contact her if I had any questions. I did have some issues the next day - where the lotion I used irritated my tattoo (turns out Lubriderm doesn't react well with me skin - totally my fault). I texted her and showed her the picture of my irritated arm and she replied right away with what to do. Two days later, she texted me to check up on me. What great customer service!! Denise was super cooperative despite me wanting to change things multiple times which is much appreciated! During the whole process, she was very knowledgeable as well as patient with me. My overall experience was amazing - I have absolutely no complaints. I love my tattoo sooooo much. She was able to replicate exactly what I wanted. I'd definitely go back!! I was fascinated with all the reviews posted in here thats why I tried getting an appointment with Tan Ngo whose awesome man. He didn't disappoint me I got the design that I wanted and it turned out very good. If I will scale the level of pain (1-10) of Tan's work it'll be 2 . He's really gentle and make sure the tattoo doesn't bleed a lot while on progress. This is not my last I'll definitely gonna come back. I had the extreme pleasure of having Lilie being my tattoo artist. She did an awesome job on my sleeve which is a beautiful red koi tattoo with a teal water lily. Prior to getting the tattoo from her, I was planning on getting a tattoo from Khoung, but his waitlist was super long. I booked an appointment for my friend who was visiting from out of town. She just wanted a small little symbol, and her artist, Denise, was the sweetest most genuine down to earth person I met! When we explained the symbol to her, she truly cared about learning more and listening to our stories about it. My friend was super nervous because this was her first tattoo, but Denise was very patient with her and gentle and assured her it would all be fine. Since the tattoo was pretty small, it only took about 45 minutes, but Denise took her time and was very focused. My friend burst into tears when she saw it all finished. She was so happy with how it turned out and I was too. I also LOVE how clean this place is. It was very bright and clean, which made it a very appealing place. It looked more like an artist's studio then a scary dark tattoo shop. Because of this, and the excellent customer service we received, I know for sure I will be getting the rest of my tattoo here! I went to Lilie to get my first tattoo. Due to circumstances, however, I arrived to our appointment 45 minutes late. Lilie was nothing but understanding and reassured me that it was no problem at all. Once I've arrived, she took her time giving me different options of how she can do my tattoo. Since it was Chinese Calligraphy, there were different styles. She walked me through each one of them explaining to me how they are different. The whole process was a super awesome experience, it was easy to talk to her and fun at the same time. On top of that, she did it quickly but with a lot of attention to detail. I got my first tattoo done by Tan yesterday. First off, I never write reviews but Tan definitely deserves one. Secondly, I am terrified of needles... I don't even have my ears pierced. I came into the shop and showed him how I want my tattoo font to look like. I also told him I'd prefer to him hand-draft it out. He did draft after draft making sure that the font was perfect and when it finally was, I barely felt a thing when he tatted me. Super gentle and fast! First off calling the shop, I got lucky and Khuong picked up. I knew him from back in the day seeing him do work for my friend Steven. Steven if your there, it's me! Off-topic, but everybody knows Steven from San Jose! Second off, he got Vy to handle everything via phone call and text message, and she was quite professional. The fact is when she told me she was going to text me in 5 minutes she did, and when she told me I should expect a call tomorrow, I did. Some shops (not tattoo shops, since this is my first), go missing in action, and that is horrible customer service. He was pretty upfront with the procedure, and told me people don't mess with toes because they get messed up after a good amount of time, and that there are so many cons, but I decided to green light it anyway. He asked me when and I said as soon as possible since this was a four year idea that has been postponed. I got lucky and somehow they manage to squeeze me in for an hour for the next day. Thirdly this is my first tattoo, and it was done in the most painful spot, thy toes. I just felt like getting stung by a thousand bee's but man bee's ain't nothing compared to a human. Lastly, I'm 27, and my Vietnamese mom is gonna go crazy when she founds out, I'm probably gonna tell her it is a fake one and it peels in two weeks, I think it's funny, I love my mom! I gotta rank the shop 5 star because everyone is professional, honest, and polite. The price is worth it because your getting a $10 burger not a $1 burger =) . My toes don't ache, but I just lotion them, and will keep away from direct sunlight, and wash three times a day in warm water for ten minutes. Dr. Roberto told me all this, and I remember. I wish I didn't cut out early, but I didn't want to be a bug-a-boo to their shop either. I had to pick up stuff at Oakridge Mall since I was in the area anyways then realized I needed to go home and take care of my toes or else they risk infection... I'm going for Round 2, next month, already know what I want, just gotta save up some cash, and pay the man! Thank you staffies @ Daruma Ink, mad respect & love! I don't know if you guys got Valet, but I'm pretty sure Khuong would do it for you if he had too, so I'll mark that. No garage, but street parking and private parking available.
