A nice small quiet 85*. All the great deliciousness and sweat experience, minus the typical crowds you usually get in these. The service was very friendly and helpful for everything we were looking for!

Honestly, I just needed something for the family after a quick workout at 24, and I suddenly remembered this spot - it had been a while! My mission: grab my go-to raisin and nut bread, plus anything with coconut. I had some questions about the bread, and Minh was amazing - so sweet and helpful! They even let me try their new walnut crumble, which is seriously delicious. Definitely get that next time! Big thanks for the great hospitality! If you're nearby, stop by. You'll find some tasty treats and genuinely nice service.

This place is always clean and stocked when I go in which is normally on weekends. We don't come too often but this is a stop for us while in OC. Service for coffees ordered at the counter is a normal few mins wait. If you want to grab and go I suggest mobile ordering it before. Will definitely return again.

We got several pastries to try. Garlic bread was definitely my fave.. ham and cheese wasn't too great to be honest. The new strawberry danish was good.. we tried the strawberry con leche drink. It was delicious.. tastes like an agua fresca. Also had the Vietnamese iced coffee.. but they put too much ice on it. It was good though. Service was pleasant. And it was a quiet morning. Only one person sitting there on their computer. But several people were there buying. They have their tote bag on sale when u buy $30 or more. Regular price $3.99

My dear friend from elementary school lives in the City of Orange. Whenever I visit her, I like to bring some pastries to share with her and her family. Luckily, there is this 85 C Bakery near her house. Perfect! It resides in the Saddleback Plaza on Chapman Ave. It sits at the corner so it can easily be seen by people driving by. From the outside, it appears to be a smaller size bakery cafe, but it's actually quite spacious inside. Upon entry, the left side is where all the yummy pastries are for you to choose. The right side has the tables and chairs for eating and chilling. They do have a kiosk for self-ordering. During my visit, it was quite busy as it was near Lunar New Year. They have the specialty pastries in celebration of the holiday. I grabbed some brioche buns and half a dozen of variety pastries. They were all very tasty and delicious. Honestly, I am not a big fan of their cakes because they lack some sweetness, but their pastries are fantastic hands down. I didn't entertain any of their drinks, but I'll have to check them out one day. The gentleman staff behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. They were super busy, but I felt the staff during that shift did an amazing job in keeping a good pace moving the customer line along. Thank you 85 C Bakery!

Our whole family enjoys the Vietnamese coffee! The desserts are not overly sweet, they're moist and delicious, everything from the mango desserts to the coffees, teas and cakes. As you may know, the name "85°C" refers to the bakery chain's belief that 85°C (185°F) is the optimal temperature to brew coffee. Service is always above par. The place always smells "bakery fresh". It's just always a nice place to go to for us before we take the Santiago Canyon back home!

85o is a convenient spot to do homework, regular work, or just hang out while grabbing a fresh bakery item and a coffee Bakery items are made fresh throughout the day and the choices are plentiful! Whether you're in the mood for sweet or savory, you're sure to find just the right thing to snack on. Service is fast and efficient and this location also has an express drink order kiosk. The café is kept pretty clean. Bathroom is also clean, but requires a key for access.

Always fun to get some snacks and boba! Kids love the flavors to choose from and all the goodies on the tray. We didn't quite realize the actual main food items (sandwiches) were out and waited awhile til finally asking where it was and the lady at the counter told us, it was not ordered. Kinda funny as she heard us order it but never told us they didn't have, slight miscommunication. But wasn't expecting any service given its pretty much self serve.

I know this would've been great but the ice watered it down and mixed with the milk. Pure disgusting and had to throw away otherwise that's a stomach waiting to happen. I recommend ordering with no ice maybe and drink it right away.

This locally owned bakery/cafe is clean with a modern ambiance. There is usually a variety of pastries, including cheese bread, fruit tarts, teas, and coffees. We came later in the day and most items were sold out, unfortunately. The mango creme brûlée cake slice was soft with subtle sweetness, as expected with Asian desserts. I wish there was more seating, so customers could enjoy the items inside.

The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.

The carnitas themselves are the star--tender, juicy pork that's been slow-cooked to perfection with that signature crispy edge on some pieces, delivering rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. It's seasoned just right, with a nice balance of porky goodness and subtle spices that let the meat shine. Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing. I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5--only docking half a point because it's not reinventing the wheel, but it's executing the traditional style exceptionally well. Highly recommend if you're near 728 N Tustin St in Orange! Pair it with an horchata, yum

Santa Ana downtown is all metered street parking so be prepared to pay for parking. The stand is located right in front of the market so it isn't too hard to find. It's in the market so there's open seating and can get quite loud if there's a lot of people. Unfortunately, I was greeted very poorly when I got here. No one was available to help and periodically she would yell over to see if I was ready to order in a very bad tone. When I asked about the cheesecake selection, she said "you have to wait 30 min." I then asked what flavor it is and she said "pandan pineapple" in an annoyed tone. I asked if there were any other flavors and she said "no because I still need to decorate. You should really come later at night." I'm used to bakeries selling out later in the day but I guess it's opposite here. As if it couldn't get worse, I asked her if there are any coffees she recommended, and she said "viet coffee." I then said viet coffee is usually too strong for me and asked if there were any other recommendations and she doubled down and used a horrible tone to say "I already said I recommend the viet coffee." Therefore I opted to just not order coffee at this time. I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling. I really hope they improve their customer service.
