I would give 0 stars if I could. I never leave reviews but I found this company to be so…read moreunprofessional and of poor quality that I wanted to share. I am in the legal profession so understand liability. After one of the company trucks damaged my vehicle, I took videos and followed the truck which drove recklessly back to their office, I went inside to share what happened and was brushed off to the claims department. The truck driver came in to clock out while I was inside and when I confronted him, he laughed at me and walked away. I then filed a claim with the company and involved my insurance. This company self insures so they control everything. I was not surprised when my claim was denied based on their negative reviews and my insurance representative's vigorous efforts. They did not know that when I followed the truck that damaged my vehicle back to their office, that I was able to speak with other staff about my experience and take pics of their trucks. Their claims of why they denied my claim because of how well they clean their trucks and Asher to the process of cleaning their stone/gravel product for delivery is blatantly false based on staff reports and my own photos and observations. I was treated poorly by the claims staff. I filed several complaints with the State, DMV, DCP, etc. as a result which are pending. There are so many more reputable companies to place your business with than risking your time, money and purchase on this one. Just read the reviews. Mine is just one negative of many. Thank you for reading.

Very professional at not taking responsibility for cracking my windshield. When putting in the…read moreclaim it was stated that their truck was transporting sand and not gravel at that time. It's probably true that the load was sand at that time, but if they don't clean the truck well from previous loads gravel will drop from the truck. It sad that they won't take responsibility. Also tried to flag the driver to stop, but the driver keep on going. This happened south bound on the 15 in Corona. Now I'm stuck with a cracked windshield. I'm curious has this company ever payout any crack windshield claims? I'm seeing this excuse about carrying sand too often.

Just discovered this place, and I can only describe it as an amazing hidden jewel…read more I needed some fairly basic tools for a construction course and first tried Home Depot, which only had a few of the items and the majority of those were cheap quality Chinese made tools not likely to last very long. The employees didn't even know about half of what I was looking for. Next I tried Harbor Freight, which had everything for dirt cheap, but it was all the same terrible quality stuff made in China, maybe even worse than Home Depot... the place literally smelled like a warehouse for cheap plastic and scrap metal. Finally, I tried Scotty's and Sons in Glendale based on a recommendation, and it was a fantastic experience. Scotty's and Sons had everything that I needed, all top quality American made, at reasonable prices and with exceptional customer service. Everything about the place felt very deliberate, and the tools stocked seemed to have been carefully selected by the owner to reflect the best options available, much like an art curator might do at a gallery. It seems that most of their clientele is contractors who are 'in the know,' but I'm not a construction pro and they were incredibly helpful and patient with me, making honest recommendations based on my specific needs rather than trying to sell me on the most expensive item or giving me the cold shoulder because I'm not an expert in the trade. Maybe this is why they've been around for 50 years! Shockingly, it's impossible to find their info online, they don't have an internet presence and I don't think they advertise... which is why I'm writing this review, to help promote what they're doing. They're the kind of place that reminds you what a great local business can be, and why it's important to support that. If you're looking for fast and cheap, and quality is not a consideration, then this place may not be for you. But if you care about quality products at reasonable prices, great customer service, or supporting American jobs and local businesses, this place is a no brainer. I will definitely be back.

Needed a beautiful remnant for a small bathroom project, and SO thrilled to have found the YARD!…read moreSelection is unbelievable, prices are spectacular at any size of remnant you require, and Wayne and Shawn provide a level of customer care that is seldom seen, even with respect to a relatively tiny project like ours. Wish that when we did our whole home remodel we knew about the YARD - would have been awesome to have them in our corner. ALSO, they have relationships with phenomenally talented and professional artisan/fabricators. They connected us with Enrique Ramirez, and WOW! What a guy - gave us results that exceeded our expectations by an order of magnitude, delivered with adroit and sensitive focus on our needs and schedule. Quality of Enrique's work was superb, and price was mind-blowing terrific. Wish I could give six (6) stars. Use the YARD and ask for Enrique on your project!

Him & I previously started at a different place and had really unwelcoming experience; so walking into The Yard we were apprehensive. But from the start walking in we were so happy to be greeted by Wayne. He was welcoming from the start. He walked us through the different slabs, explained the pieces and we never felt any pressure. I ended up falling in love with a granite slab that I wasn't even the color I was looking for- LOL. It was a great deal, I couldn't pass up. Lastly, two days after purchase, I called to inform Wayne that our contractor was going to pick it up the slab. Well our contractor forgot the A-frame and it was caught by the employee and I was immediately given a follow up text. Needless to say my contractor returned the following day with the A-frame and I was given a follow up text when it left. WOW! Talk about great service!! 5 Stars!! Don't hesitate to come here.
