Very clean, waitstaff very nice. Husband had the meat lovers scramble it was average nothing special and wont get it again. I had the biscuits with sausage gravy with scrambled eggs.....my favorite. I like to try them where ever we go to see who's got the best! We would definitely come back. We are heading down to Annapolis for the boat show held there every year at this time. read more

Very good food. Friendly staff. That being said, there are no signs at the entrance stating that masks must be worn. The owner is helping with tables but does not wear a mask. Most of the staff wear masks, although I have seen them worn below the nose and even on the chin. About 1 in 3 customers don't wear masks. They apparently are not concerned about mask mandates which would imply that they aren't concerned about their customers health either. I'm not a prude or and alarmist, but the mandates are for everyone, not just a few, and if everyone did their part in this crises, I believe we would be much better off. In summary, good food, good service, no masks required, and I will not go back as long as they continue to ignore the mandates. If it weren't for the fact that this restaurant doesn't want to comply, I would give it 4 Stars. However, because of their non-compliance, I'm being generous by giving them 2 stars. read more

Great little diner. Fair prices and huge plates of good home cooked food. Truck parking in rear. Will definitely put this one on my list of places to come back to. read more

83 Diner - Roast Beef over Filling with Mashed Potatos and Gravy. Huge plate of food, loved every bite of it. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - York, Pennsylvania

83 diner exceeded my expectations. I thought hey it's off the highway that's easy and sound like I can get home cooked style meal. I did get the ribs and they were super tender. Fell off the bone and the bbq sauce went well with it. Not sure what kind it was. It was a little sweet. The fries were good and side salad was fresh. My sister got the country fried steak and my parents for the fried cod. They also enjoyed their meal. What made this a even better experience was the service. Everyone one was so nice and in the kind of mood that will put you in a good mood. Thanks read more

My family and I always come here when we just wanna go out close to home and enjoy a nice meal as a family. All the employees are super nice and welcoming. I love the location too. If I had to choose between going here or a fancy restaurant I would honestly choose here. I have nothing against 83 Diner. read more

I ordered a chicken ceaser salad and was charged 15$ for ice berg letteuce and 3 subpar tiny strips of chicken, when I sent it back I was told that it was a whole chicken breast on the plate which was untrue and when I asked why the charge so much for so little when they forgot to remove it from my tab they said they charge 6 extra $ for that chicken! Outrageous! Will never be returning I highly don't recommend read more

Another diner, nothing too wild about this place, but I like it. I come here when I'm hung over and order a steak and eggs. The steak is actually pretty good for a diner, and the eggs delicious. It's a bit pricey, but whatever. I'm pretty sure it's gear towards truckers, as they have a big parking lot in the back. But I believe they make you pay to park your truck. I don't know if this is normal for truckers, I'm not a trucker, I'm just throwing it out there that you have to pay to park. Like I said, it's just a diner. I go about once a month, it's not my favorite place in the world but I enjoy the food. read more

Great food and super nice people, home fries and bacon egg and cheese sandwich on rye are great.

Coming up from Maryland we stopped for a late dinner on the way home. Been there before and the food has always been great. This night was no exception. They had Jumbalaya and it was scrumptious!!! Service was great too. Prices were good. Looking forward to going there again. Only wish it was closer to my home. read more

Had to stop.. hungy!! We have stopped here before years ago. Our office is close in Harrisburg here. We sat down and ordered. Wait staff was great and always had our glasses full of ice tea. I opted for the pork , sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Yummy we were so hungry I didn't even get a pix of food. BF ordered meatloaf with BBQ sauce and onion straws with mashed also. Mmm their meatloaf it quite tastey. We read that the coconut cake was good .. so had one piece to split. It was delicious and not over sweet. We saw someone from our office that came over to say hi so that was cool too. So all in all this place was hoppin with local customers plus truckers like us. Will be back. read more

The food was good, I had chicken corn soup. My waitress's mask only covered her mouth. Apparently it was ok, I saw other employees with their noses "out". Kitchen staff was in and out of the kitchen with NO MASKS. read more

Good Food. Decent Prices. Nothing super special, but friendly staff and great desserts. Obviously this place is a truck stop, but it's always clean and nice. I come here often and am rarely disappointed. read more

Would give it 5 stars everything was exceptional... except the hostess who just threw our menus on the table and walked away.. food was great the server was great...but the hostess was a bitch read more

This place has amazing food, the prices are beyond reasonable and best of all- truck parking on site. Usually you can't eat out at a sit down place anymore without spending $50 but this place is a throwback for sure. This morning I spent $25 for breakfast after tip and a full dinner for two with entree and dessert barely broke $40 after tip. Unique desserts, great home cooking, top notch service, who could want more? read more

If service is what you desire, then 83 dinner you must go, like your was on fire. With a delight of a meal, I felt it was quite a deal!

Had dinner here the night we arrived for our vacation. The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent!

Passing through the area on my way back home to Illinois and I found this little gem! Place seems very clean. The staff is extraordinarily friendly. The service was fast, and the food was delicious! 83 Diner - Chicken Alfredo was delicious and I big portions that leaves me with a meal for later! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - York, Pennsylvania

Every time I am in this area, this is where I eat.... Why? Because it's that good, an old school diner, serving huge portions, in a clean friendly environment. The chefs know what they are doing, their experience is evident in the flavors and subtleties in the dishes, everything I have ever eaten here was phenomenal. The wait staff is super, friendly and on the ball. The floor is clean the tables well appointed and clean as well. Super service, super food, super value in a clean family friendly environment.... I suggest you check this place out if you have the opportunity, don't come here if you are not hungry..... If you are hungry you will be sated when you leave. I promise. I forgot to tell you about breakfast.... 2 eggs, sausage, home fries, wheat toast, free coffee(excellent) super deal super meal read more

This place was a good place to eat. My last visit as in final visit was absolutely horrible. I ordered the same meal as I had in past visits, but this time the portions were skimpy and not appealing compared to prior stops. It's a shame the owner would rather sell tractor trailer parking than focus on keeping the diner operating. I told the server about the meal but no one came to table. Then when dropping off bill I asked again. Finally someone addressed it and said it's the cooks fault different cooks make orders different. What? How about consistency? It should not make a difference who prepared the meal. I feel that if you are charging the same price no matter who makes the meal, it should be made the same size portions! But if you are in a jamb to find a place to park your tractor trailer go for it. Then walk to Wendy's or Rutters where you will get what you pay for not excuses. BTW the 83 pizza shop is same owner as this place. Check those reviews along side. read more

I have eaten here for many years. After the remodel it went way down hill. Food was all undercooked, the waitress "didn't hear" half the order, then I waited 25 minutes for a coffee refill in which I had to walk up to the register and ask for. I would not recommend now and will never go back. Very disappointing. When the waitress was asked about the forgotten order she got an attitude then brought out an order of fries that weren't cooked at all. Barely warm in the center and got furious when we said they weren't cooked. She did not deserve the tip she got let alone any. The customer service was the worst of anywhere and never was that way before. read more

Ok it's a decent place for drivers. Food was good. Staff was as good as anywhere. Lots of truck parking. Obviously they get a bunch of whiners that eat here. It was nice to have a place to go while waiting to deliver. read more

We were worried about stopping because of a few other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with this diner. The place was clean, everything one was really nice and the portions were generous. Do not eat here staff is rude accurately told us we were not welcome there because my special needs child spilled her juice after we asked for a child cup with a lid and wasn't given one we had to ask for our check after we were finished eating for over twenty minutes then they had the nerve to complain about tips well were I come from good waitresses get tips bad ones dont and they would not even know what a good waitress is. Also food is burnt most of the time read more

What a great place! They remodeled and it is so nice and bright, colorful and clean. The food is delicious and the wait staff was on their game. The food came out fast, was hot and tasty. They allow truck parking and we really appreciate it. It's hard when trucking to find a place that has good truck parking AND awesome food. Thank you so much!! read more

Went to meet a friend here for lunch today and this was my first time here. It was a typical diner type place and it felt that way. Casual and simple. We both had Gyro's and mine was delicious I was a little disappointed that they didn't have hummus, but hey, it was a diner not a Greek restaurant. Anyway, we sat there for 2-1/2hrs talking and catching up and it was no problem. I liked the place and I would and probably will go back again. read more

Been eating breakfast here for years. Most everything is good, service is very good! Today I tried hot oatmeal and then when it came I remembered! The cook must have thought I said soup because that's what I was served. The waitresses have been there a long time so I did not say anything, but this is what I was served before when I ordered same. Otherwise great breakfast & reasonably priced. read more

Had a enjoyable lunch at the 83. Tuna wrap was fresh. Served with a pickle and very small serving of coleslaw. Large number of tables so no issues getting seated right away. Appears to be a local favorite as well as a trucker's favorite (semi parking in the back of the lot). The menu was fairly broad for a "diner". Good experience overall. read more

I went here in August with my parents. My food was so salty that it was inedible and I had to send it back. One star for the attentive waitress and another for the manager who replaced my meal with bbq chicken at my request. However, it wasn't very good either. If you love iceberg lettuce sad salads and over salted entrees, this could be the spot for you but I did not enjoy it and shall not return. read more

Food is good, but be sure to get a meal and not just a sandwich or waffle, etc. They will still charge full price. Not an a la carte place. The dining room is the best place to sit. They tend to forget about you if you sit over by the bar/counter area. Bring cash to tip your server. The owner always says "this machine doesn't do tips"....as if she wasn't the one who purchased it.... I feel bad for the servers that don't get a tip from those that don't carry cash (who carries cash anyway??). Why the heck would you buy a credit card machine for the good service industry that doesn't take tips? They do have an atm machine, but you get a service charge. I think it's $2.00... And sometimes it's out of service. read more

Yum! burger and fries were great... Baklava cheese cake.... little bit pricey for a diner, but very good food!

Food is just ok, good if you need somewhere to eat near by.

We ate there and the service and food was good. The special was pork with mash potatoes ans sourkrout. My mother-in-law asked if she could just get the potatoes and sourkrout (2 sides!). Wheb we got the bill they charged us the full price for the special and refused to change it. It would have been nice if the waiter had said he was going to charge for a full meal instead of 2 sides. Cashier was rude and dismissive when questioned about the charge. We won't be going back. read more

Service was quick and friendly. I liked the gyro, but the three people I was with found their food to be hilariously bad. One had the stuffed chicken, one had salmon cakes, and the third had crab cake. I thought the crab cake was just ok (had a few bites). Get dessert too. read more
