I happened upon this boutique that is located in Kent Station a couple days before New Years Eve last year. I was on a desperate search of finding the perfect New Years attire...no one else seemed to have what I was looking for. Now, granted....I didn't really know what I was looking for. But I knew, when I found it, that I would know. Lyda (the owner) was awesome... she took me through a small selection of holiday apparel that she had...and there it was. This tiny (TINY!) red dress that was screaming my name! I had a few options... I could get the dress, rock it with some leggings or go all out and rock my legs and some super hot heals. I opted for number 2. Since I lived in Kent, it was difficult for me to peruse the boutiques downtown with the exception of the one closest to me (Nuvo Moda.) Lyda kept her store open until 8 most nights, which made it easy for me to go in when I needed to get my shopping fix in. Since becoming a "Just The Thing" client... I have had many many many incredible shopping adventures in Just the Thing. The name is very appropriate, because every single time they literally have "just the thing!" I got my first and second pair of skinnies here, a super cute dress for work/parties, and several other awesome pieces that compliment my closet collection. Her denim collection is downright ridiculous! I love it... and Lyda will make sure that you have the appropriate size/style to fit your body. I no longer live in Kent (YEAH FOR THAT!!) however, I still make the drive once a month to see Lyda and get my shop on. She makes the visit worth while!!!

I went to two other shops in Redmond which offered no customer service at all. Shruti made an upcoming celebration even more special by offering such warm and wonderful help to find something just right. I felt very welcomed and at home to try on all kinds of special things--not like a stuffy shop experience--and had so much fun! I purchased lehenga fabric online and brought it here to be altered for an upcoming event. When I picked it up, the blouse was extremely tight and flattened my chest like a sports bra. After a couple adjustments didn't resolve the issue, I asked if cups I had at home would help, and she said yes. I trusted her, paid, and took it home, only to find the issue was still there. When I returned she shifted the blame to my "cheap factory fabric." If the fabric was a concern, I believe she should have mentioned it when she first accepted it. Instead, she said she "isn't a magician" and couldn't have predicted the issue. Then her solution was to add more fabric to the front but said she couldn't guarantee it would fit or look normal. When I expressed my concerns, she became extremely defensive arguing with me for nearly an hour, calling me dumb, guilt-tripping me about her machine breaking while working on my fabric, and complaining about the quick turnaround time( which she had agreed to). She ultimately refunded the $75 blouse charge but I was still left paying $135 for a skirt I cannot wear without the matching piece.

Shopping in Burien, Washington…read more.. We were headed for this Ross yesterday, but saw IKEA first and bought a bath mat there. Shucks! The bath mats at Ross have a lower price! Oh, well... We looked at pet supplies, shoes, hair accessories, phone supplies, stationary, personal care items, kitchen gadgets, costume jewelry, and t-shirts. We ended up just getting a set of Stitch socks! There was a Security Guard at the door who greeted everyone as they entered and checked receipts as customers left. The cashier was friendly and efficient. We talked about Trader Joe's around the corner and how they still have the mini cooler bags... LOL! Thanks for the Tuesday Club's 10 percent discount!

I've received numerous compliments while wearing the various wardrobe pieces I've purchased from this store. Marta, Shayla, and the rest of the staff are all excellent stylists and a great pleasure to work with. They easily get a feel for what you like and what works for your body type and then curate outfits that fit your personality and shape. Marta personally reaches out to me every time she gets new items in the store that she thinks I would love, and I go in the store and freak out with excitement over the outfits she's picked for me every single time. They are always perfect. I always end up spending hours feeling so fly while trying on new clothes here, and it is so much fun working with these ladies! The items in the store are also high-quality items and reasonably priced. They carry a wide range of clothing items and accessories for all looks and occasions. What's really awesome, though, is that the chances of you running into someone else wearing the same top or dress as something you got from here are pretty low! Divalani Style has really earned my business, and I will continue to shop here. It's just so nice coming into a store where high-quality outfits that spell ME are all ready to try on in the dressing room! I just really, really enjoy my experience here each time I shop.
