Pharmacy does a very good job getting medications ready on time particularly in the market of pharmacy going downhill during and post COVID. I get almost all of my vaccinations here. The pharmacists generally provide very little information about the drugs you take, they simply just ask if you have questions even if they are not busy and there are not people in line. I take this as they assume the prescriber actually counsels you on the drugs. The store is in a sketch area; often there are police outside and sometimes you feel as if you need to watch your back. I've been shopping the Walker Rd Fred Meyers for almost 20 years. The produce is shameful. In the last 4 months, I've returned numerous rotted produce. Peaches that never ripen- just rot from the inside out. Mango- same thing. Rotten. The yams I purchased for Thanksgiving- 1/2 rotted. Last week I bought a bag of Cuties Oranges- lots of rotted fruit oozing goo. (returned these & left a big mess on their customer service counter) Guess what? They didn't even notice the ooze. Says it all! Oh- and they've got a huge bin of rotted promogranate for sale. Incredible. I spend tons of time rifleing through the produce -trying to NOT get another sack of rotted crap. Fred Meyer has all the things that you'd expect to find at a grocery store and then some since it has several departments for all of your needs. This store has a strange layout in comparison to the other ones I usually go it, but most everything is easy to find. I find Freddie's to be cheaper for the things I like than the other stores and this location is no exception. Store card to get the savings, but you can signup online quickly though, so it's not that bad and you can clip coupons that get loaded into your account so you don't have to remember anything. No complaints on my most recent trip, but I would think twice about coming here at night. It's dingy and overall doesn't seem like it's very safe. read more

You guys need to check on your Starbucks employees. The older woman who served us no coffee, and heavy attitude before 11am is obviously crying out for attention. "Did you FINALLY decide" was served with a nasty tone with no intent of joking around. She made very obvious body language and the last straw was her irritated tapping on the money box before every question with an annoyed head tilt combo. I didn't take longer than she took to pick a career so I don't appreciate the demeanor early in the morning. She also snapped about blending lavender foam into our drink because she didn't want to make it correctly. I went in for a backpack. I had to go to the front of the store (2 people sitting literally at the door) and one of them had to come to self check out to page someone. The item I needed was right at the door, but it was locked up. I'd love to say I love my backpack, but it is still at the store. Out of 6 employees present in the 2 areas and a male manager that was nearby, no one helped me. I guess I will be going to Target or Walmart because FM didn't want my business today.:( read more

This is one of my favorite locations to shop at due to the ease of parking and the ease of being able to get in and out quickly. This is no reflection on the staff that provide the pick-up service, but it IS a reflection on how poorly managed the store is in general, and how corporate policy in Cincinnati needs to be changed. I placed my usual order this week to be picked up between 5 and 6 tonight. I got a call earlier today, stating that I needed to wait until 6 to pick it up. Once in the lot, I had to wait ANOTHER HOUR for my order, and it was missing two important items. In order to keep my wait down, they didn't even bother to seek a substitute for one of them...and the other one, they substituted I can't eat for medical reasons. I'm angry and frustrated that the "leaders" who operate this store failed this team so horribly. Especially in light of the lockdown we are under currently, the wise move would have been to move staff from other departments to help the pick-up team. Yeah. Leaders indeed. Gary, you're incompetent at best. Do us a favor and demote yourself, because you failed your staff horribly tonight. I'm going to Safeway in the future. read more

I've been coming here for years, but only because I have to. I'm tired of the lazy employees here, all they do is blame the customer when the mistakes are on their end. They enter manual price overrides when they can't find a price. Which is fine, but they are always overcharging by an unreasonable amount. So much so, that I notice it on my receipt walking out. When I request a price adjustment, they give me attitude, like its my fault. They should have asked someone to do a price check, or tell me they can't find a price, then I can decide if I want it or not. Instead they key it up without telling me. I literally have to request an adjustment every couple weeks. I'm just wondering how many other people they are doing this too. Brought an empty propane tank for an exchange. I've got employees giving me conflicting information about which entrance to bring it in to complete the exchange. I'm literally driving back and forth between the garden area and the main entrance multiple times because no one knows. Then some idiot gives me attitude about how unsafe it is, calling it a bomb, and how I can't bring it in. I keep reiterating it's empty. I just need to know where to bring it for exchange. I literally asked before even bringing in the empty tank. That check cashing place is a shit show. Don't get me started on that. Also self checkout needs an attitude adjustment, why are they always so rude. Don't blame me that the kiosks are replacing jobs. And your managing 4+ kiosks at a time. It's got nothing to do with me. Some people need help with technology. Especially the elderly. These are just a few of the most recent scenarios that come to mind. I frequent this gas station often and most of the employees are great but the older white guy with the Mustache and goatee with graying brown hair(who was working 11/14/19 @ 12:15pm) has a serious attitude problem. Every time he is working and I am there he always has an attitude and is rolling his eyes. Today I was getting gas and I had him scan my card but when he just stayed silent and acted as if he was ignoring my existence, after I gave him my money and said which pump I started to walk away. That's when he yelled if I wanted to use my points. I agreed and walked away. I work customer service and I know it's a thankless job but that guy should not be working in that department. Things have only gotten worse here since they started the renovation. *They STILL haven't ordered any carts. You have to leave the building & go outside to hunt for one in the cart return. *They layout at present makes no sense. & do they need to carry so many yogurts that they get an entire isle? Everyone shopping in the dairy section was confused & furious. There was a no half & half at all except one brand that was a week away from expiring. *2 entire isles of parking space are taken up by shipping crates. *Half of the check-out stands were removed & replaced with self-check-out, just like Super Walmart. *The bathrooms are a stinking filthy mess. *Everything in the gardening section is dying from overwatering, underwatering, Fusarium Wilt, Early Blight, Leafminer flies, & being packed together tightly in shelves that are not tall enough. I don't enjoy grocery shopping but it's s necessary part of life, right! However shopping at Fred Meyer makes it enjoyable. The workers I encountered are all so friendly and helpful. They are so nice! It makes a mundane task enjoyable. The butcher was friendly and offered to add spice to my steak. The bakery lady was putting out bread and offered to help me find what I was looking for. The checker was a 12 items or less and she saw me looking for an open line and took me to her register. This is by far my favorite location. I have literally been a customer for atleast 20 years. What I love about this location is the consistency in providing great customer experience. The store is usually clean and well organized. The displays are put together well. The lines usually go fast as there a good number of cashiers working at a time. Another thing that I love is that they offer free fruit for the kiddos and also have childcare for kids 2 and up while you shop. A lot of the employees have been there 10 plus years which is an indicator to me that it is also a great place to work. read more

They also have a whole section for organic fruits and veggies AND a whole section for organic/clean eating type foods too. I love that they have low carb yogurt made by Kroger and they're cottage cheese is the only brand I can actually eat without hating it! Fred Meyers is a great one stop shop since they offer home good items, clothes, DVDs, music, computer stuff, paint and a couple other misc items but most the time these items are way over priced compared to target or Walmart. We always go during odd hours so never had to experience long lines. The team always seems to be enjoying their jobs and assisting any guests with any concerns. Around December 14I ordered 13 items to be delivered by Instacart between 10:00 and 12:00 on December 15. The order never arrived, and I reordered the next day. I was notified that my order was on its way at 10:10 and went downstairs to be there for pick up. The order did not come and at 112;30 I went to Fred Meyer fo get results The manager was very helpful and seemed concerned but said he had no control over instacart and could not refund my money for the missing order. When I arrived home around 1:00 PM the groceries were on the desk and had just been delivered. As I prepared my next shopping my bank statement arrived and Fred Meyer had charged me for two identical orders! When I called instacart, they had no record of my order and could neither refund or provide shopping credit. We do love the Fred Meyer store and do not wish to send a bad review but Instacart is just not good for this store. We will continue shopping there and never use this terrible delivery service, INSTACART! This place is exhausting. I'm not sure how many square feet of terrain one traverses in one jaunt through the Fred Meyer gauntlet, but I was ready for a nap and rehydration after my trip. But that many square feet allows for a vast selection of goods at fairly reasonable prices. I managed to find most of the seeds we needs for the little back yard garden. We also stocked up on bubble blowing gear because you can never, ever have too much of that. The staff (once you could find them) were a friendly and helpful bunch and the store was well organized and clean. So, I'd say the exposition wasn't all bad. read more

This is the Fred Meyer that's closest to where I live. I like it. This Fred Meyer was rebuilt about 2-3 years ago, & it needed it badly. The aisles are huge in this location, & you never feel cramped when you're shopping. It generally is kept pretty clean. I'd say that this is the best Fred Meyer that you'll find in & around king/pierce/snohomish counties. It's new, its huge, has a huge grocery store inside, & has a huge gas station to go with it. Not usually something you find at the other locations unless its clumped together & feeling cramped. Everything about this location feels spacey. Its better than the rest so try the best. Every time I come here, I have a worse experience than the last time. They just did a lot of moving their sections around, which is fine, but hardly any workers on the floor to help guide you. The Pepsi guy tried to help, but he didn't work here, he is a vendor. And he was way nicer than any Fred Meyer employee I have met at this store. They just added a ton of self check out lanes because they would rather install a machine than hire a cashier. Really sad world we live in where people go a whole day without acknowledging another person. So, we did self check out and the woman attending that section was very rude. I needed help with scanning a bottle of wine and she took a long time getting to us for an ID check. I usually don't do self check out for this reason, but they have like 3 cashiers, 100 open lanes for it but no employees, so the line with a cashier is super long for each aisle.
