The gentleman seemed hesitant but checked with the seamstress and accepted the shirt. The next day, they called and simply said they couldn't do it, with no real explanation. I understand if an alteration isn't possible, but the interaction when we dropped it off already felt a little dismissive. We were essentially asking for the sleeves to be professionally cut and finished rather than leaving raw edges if we did it ourselves. I also asked if they could note the shirt's measurements because it's difficult finding shirts that fit larger guys well. For a business that advertises alterations, the whole experience just felt odd and not very customer-friendly.

I appreciated that they were willing to take the outfits on short notice -- but I quickly realized I was being taken advantage of. These were two small little girl outfits -- one was thin cotton and barely wrinkled to begin with, and the other was a light corduroy-type material. No cleaning, no repairs -- just ironing -- yet I was charged $50. On top of that, she insisted I pay in "CASH ONLY"which I felt was wrong and honestly came across as very sketchy. I'm always one to support local small businesses. To make sure I wasn't overreacting, I called a few other nearby dry cleaners afterward to compare pricing -- and not one of them quoted anything close to what I was charged. I expected help, not opportunism. I walked out feeling completely taken advantage of. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend asking for pricing up front because that was my mistake.
