Really creative, tasty cocktails. Amazing GF Stroganoff & oat risotto w/ shrimp! Got a GF brownie to go & it must be shared! So chocolatey w/ frosting & crunchy topping! We had to have the gratis (free) red eye (pumpkin spice) & Rømmegrøt (a thick porridge made with sour cream, milk, and a bit of flour, and then topped with cinnamon and sugar; Served warm. Delicious! Not too sweet but tastes like a cinnamon roll in custard form! Give it a try! Yum! Waiter was attentive & patient w/ our questions & provided great input when asked. Nice ambiance!

Such a cute restaurant with friendly staff. We had a party of 20 people with a restaurant and accommodated us easily. The food was alright. I found the burger to be average. It seemed the restaurant was more for aesthetics (and potentially drinks) than real good food. However, the brussel sprouts are a must get!!! Everything else I tried was second to it.

SWEET LEFSE PLATE

We are at Prairie Kitchen. The brunch menu didn't offer anything that I was truly excited about. I was sad they were out of chicken and waffles! My daughter and I shared the sweet lefse plate and the breakfast sandwich. The lefse wasn't what I expected, but maybe that's just me. I will say the jam was to die for! Our server was sweet and attentive. The service was very good. I liked the ambiance and decor. Some of the seating was odd; we actually asked to move after we were initially seated. They were happy to oblige, so it was no issue.

I took a long drive because I knew I would not be anywhere near Fargo North Dakota any time soon. I was really glad I spent the hours on the road that I did as finding this location was such a treat. I gave it 4 as I only visited once. It wasn't lunch time and it wasn't dinner and I came into the restaurant and ordered at the bar. The manager on duty was very attentive and shared a lot of good information about the menu and the restaurant. Everyone was over the top friendly and nice , I say It all the time Service wins the day. Food was excellent. I had the Salmon cakes and the short rib dish. The side sauce for the cakes was great and the noodles with the rib were buttery and tender. Wine options galore, had the Rose. If you live in Fargo, how great for you. I would be here at least once a week. Thanks and good luck!

701 Eateries has such a cool vibe and atmosphere. The menu is unique but still has something for even the pickiest eaters. Service was excellent from start to finish. Definitely worth checking out!

Visiting Fargo from Mpls, checking out the Swedish inspired food...the oat groat salad, beer cheese soup and lingonberry sour were great!

Butcher Block Burger

We made reservations and met friends here while visiting in Fargo. Reservations are right as it is a busy place and parking can bea but if a challenge (we had to park 3 blocks away). The decor is modern and chic and the servers were friendly. My wife started with a Lingonberry Sour (see picture) and really liked it - tart and tasty. We started our meal with the Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Dates - delicious and highly recommended! For our meals, my son ordered the Butcher Block Burger (see picture), my wife ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich (see picture) and I had the Nordic Salmon with Dill Sauce (see picture). All tasted very good, but delivery took a long time and they were all barely warm when delivered. I'm not sure if they were left on the counter accidentally or if they intentionally waited for something that took longer to prepare. Overall, the atmosphere was great, but the prices were a little high and the food and service were only a little above average. Fargo continues to add new & interesting restaurants to the region, and 701 Eateries is definitely one of them. This review applies to my experience at Camp Lone Tree, which is the upstairs venue. Food aside, the very large rooftop patio overlooking University Dr & 7 Ave N is great. It has a mix of indoor seating (bar or some seats along the windows) and outdoor. The outdoor has regular rectangular tables, high top rectangulars, high top circle, bar-type seating along the south and west railings, and some patio furniture. The menu is not very extensive but a nice mix with some sandwiches, a couple salads, corn dog, ribs and a few more. Plus a few shareables. The drink menu is probably larger than the food. We started with the French Onion dip & chips which was good and much more chips than we expected. I had the Lone Tree Burger with bacon, which was excellent - the flavored reminded me a bit of how burgers taste at Culvers. Others at our table had the pulled pork sandwich (very good & filling) and the wild rice strawberry salad (also good). I ordered the fries, which are separate; and are enough to serve 2-3 people. 5-star all around for our visit.

Swedish meatballs were delicious. Negroni was just okay.

Tucked away in the heart of downtown Fargo, this place has such a captivating, vintage soul. The atmosphere is a delightful challenge in the best way possible; it's vibrant, bustling, and clearly the place to be. The service was absolutely top-tier both the chef and the waiter were remarkably attentive and made me feel completely looked after. I simply had to try their legendary Fried Cheesy Pickles. I was also quite charmed by the Toasted Frog itself it really is the best in town. Full marks across the board! It's a quintessential Fargo experience, and I am already planning my next visit. There were signs on the entrance and on the directory to tell you which floor things were on, but that was it. You go to the basement and it was kind of fun to find the door to go in (it's not that hard, you can hear people). The place is so fun. It's decorated very dark, moody mid century. We sat ourselves at the bar as most other tables were full. The bartender who took care of us for the night was named Mason and he was excellent! So friendly, welcoming and eager to talk wine with us. The menu had a ton of specialty cocktails but their wine selection was too good not to try. We nerded out for a bit and he got us generous pours of what we ordered. We only got drinks but I'd return for the bites when in town next. Great spot!

If you are from the Cities, they are owned by the same people as the Hewing, so expect a similar level of service. I liked my old fashioned a lot, it was well made. Thank you for being a highlight of my long ways trip. Food- stunning, innovative. Ambience- funky and cozy, well spaced, great people. LOVED!!! It was a quiet Wednesday night and a nice break from a long day in having dinner at Rosewild. The decor is contemporary and comforting. We sat at a table overlooking the town's ice skaters, so fun. Drinks were well done- as always never mad at a hand stuffed blue cheese olive martini. Besides though - the food!!! Mmmmmmmm. Apps were Pork Belly burnt ends and Burrata salad. The burnt ends were a falsehood in name, could've been more juicy and meaty to mimic beef, but the flavor was there. Burrata, delicious! Light pesto of fresh herb. Entrees around the table were Steaks, Walleye dishes and two sides. Steaks were well taken by those enjoying. Not the best of cuts chosen towards hanger but made for a satisfaction. The walleye - loved the staying local feel here. And the bread pudding underneath. WHAT was this???! - divine!!! Again an inspo dish. This bread pudding- I am finding recipe and making for a holiday dish accompaniment. WOW!! Additional sides brought towards the steaks were roasted brussels and fried potatoes. These potatoes- had to be fried in an animal fat. They had SOOOOO much flavor. I swear to you not- we were finished dinner, everything was taken off the table and I would NOT LET GO of these fries. FML. I die. I want to eat them again and again. I wanted to take them with, on the plane and repeat a thousand times over. I think the best fries I've ever had in life, no lie. Well freaking done Rosewild. I'd never think reason to come back to Fargo being an East Coast girl, except for you- and the exquisite service, ambiance and food. You are killing it!

I wanted to meet Harold, but he was probably getting so much needed shut eye, perhaps 6 feet under; may his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Anyway, back to life above ground , there were some singers whom I'm sure had many other gifts, and some singers with exceptional voices. The karaoke jockey, KJ, was friendly and did a good job encouraging applause and a good vibe. There were several notable duets by female female and male female, as well as many solos. This writer may have been the second oldest person in the bar, so he felt a wee bit out of place, but the waitress made him feel welcome as did a very friendly young man named Roman and his friend - - she had a beautiful single-syllable name but my memory is failing.
