We also got a chicken tender sub from the deli made by Don. Don did a great job with our sub. He was very personable and conscientious about changing his gloves. We really appreciated this. It was 9:30pm and there was 30 minutes left until closing time (which is when some people can get antsy about wanting to leave and wanting to be done with work) but Don and Katie engaged in conversation with us and provided great customer service. However, there are more negative than positive and this is not a station I frequent. First of all why does yelp refuse to change the name. It's not Racetrac, it's Raceway. When asking yelp to change they reviewed it and left it the same. So if your looking for Racetrac you will not find it. So there are two listings, same address and my reviews identical. There is often debris in the area, not significant, but enough. The clientele at this fueling station would rather throw down trash by the pumps then put it in the can...go figure. The pump I most recently used had a missing enter button. That is an issue when it is required for a response to hit "enter" and your unsure where it is. I also like to use AMEX and they do not accept it. What is more frustrating is they do not have signs saying what they do accept. So when it said see the attendant I had no idea why. The attendant was with a customer and talking on his wireless head piece. I would not have been happy if I was that customer. He informed me NO AMEX. If I'm in the area okay if I must. But I will not go out of my way.

I went into the store and purchased $45.00 worth of premium gas a bag of chips. I went in instead of paying at the pump because my debit card and bank account was hacked 2 weeks ago. The night before this incident, the last time my card was used was me purchasing gas at the pump. I completed my purchase, walked to the passenger side of my truck, which will automatically unlock as long as my key is on me. The truck unlocked, I put my purse and my chips on the seat and closed the door. Little did I know, I had just locked myself out of the truck. I finished pumping my gas, walked back in and asked the lady behind the counter, if I could use the phone as I had just locked myself out of my vehicle. She did "Not" hesitate to hand me the store phone, I called my husband to bring the spare key....no problem!!! She even allowed me to stay inside the store because it is in the lower 50's and it's cold outside. She was very nice and I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart! So you may be asking what the problem is.......I decided to walk outside and wait on my husband, I had been waiting on my husband for over an hour. My hubby did tell me that he was just leaving the hardware store and needed to go home first to retrieve the key to my vehicle. I walked back into the store and asked one of the two men that was standing behind the counter if I could use the phone? The first one said no and then he asked the other one if I could use phone and he said no! I explained to him the situation and also told him that the lady who was previously here had allowed me to use the phone, he still said no because it would cost the store for me to make a local phone call! A young man who works for Fed Ex over heard the conversation, I turned around and asked him if I could use his phone and he said no problem mam and gave me his phone! I called my husband and he showed up 5 minutes later. By this time I was furious! So, I can patronize your business but you could not help me, a women, by myself, all of my belongings locked up in the truck and you couldn't patronize me enough to let me make a phone call! I will "Never" patronize this Raceway again!!! I'm so done! Thank God my life wasn't in jeopardy! I am so sad that in this day and time that we can't be here to help one another in a time of need! No hello, can i help you, or anything.. I think its weird to checkout from anywhere and the cashier has NO words. But its becoming a regular thing lately... Smh. It really grinds my gears. If your not a people kinda person don't get a job dealing with people.. Work in the back or something. The deli dept used to have friendly people, they'd chat with you or even say hello. But now i literally stand there waiting for someone to even look my way or at least say i will be right with you. Nope!! They ignore you rudely and do not care!! How is it 3 or 4 people in one area and no one offers assistance or even looks up from what they're doing... I stopped getting my deli stuff from here because this happens every time now.. I am not gonna beg for some sliced turkey or cheese just to have you roll your eyes while angrily slicing my meat... That's a problem ! I don't know what's changed but its not that friendly neighborhood market vibe anymore.. Hopefully things change or I'll have to drive a little further to do my shopping... Gas prices are always fair and staff inside are friendly. Easy and convenient on base. Lines tend to get long in the AM if everyone is grabbing breakfast and snacks for the day so I avoid that time and come during off times for gas or other snacks.
