Was there today for coffee. As I mentioned previously we seem to have an abundance of coffee shops…read morein the area so I'm surprised they all survive. In this case I've been here before and the place was packed. Location is just across from Stony Brook University so I could understand but today there was minimal activity. A variety of coffees which I had no complaint with. Okay let's cut to the chase. The interior has an industrial look which is pretty common today, but at some point I looked up to see the exposed HVAC ducts which are painted a cream color. The problem, the tops of the ducts were caked with dust. Major turn off. When someone opens the door to come in or out I have to imagine the breeze, or today the wind, disturbs the dust/dirt which then has the potential to end up in my coffee or food. Again with so many coffee shops in the area I'll be going to one of them. But to be fair I'll check back to see if they get the message

Sometimes, it's just not worth it to change a recipe if it's not better than the original. I think we will come again and maybe try something else. Service was outstanding. I sat with family and enjoyed a simple tea and toast today. My sister-in-law order the Matcha with blueberry, she let me grab a sip and it was very refreshing, perfectly balanced blueberry, it was sweet but not too sweet paired with the Matcha tea.
