Keep an Eye on your Bottom Line and You'll Be Fine 95+ degrees outside today and it's time for some cool Slurpee goodness. Rolled in with the family to get 3 Slurpees (2 of which were free due to 7-Eleven App rewards). The Slurpee stands were messy with partially filled cups sitting around. Looking back, they were a sign of worse things to come. When it was time to pay for our 3 drinks the cashier and the manager didn't seem to understand how to incorporate 7-Eleven App rewards when ringing us up. The cashier tried to charge me $5 for one Slurpee... I pointed out that 2 of the 3 Slurpees were free with 7-Eleven app rewards and he proceeded to give me back $1.38 as change. That is the same amount I should have been charged for my total visit. The manager came over and did not correct the issue. I got the joy of explaining what change from $5 should be received for an item costing $1.38. Hooray for paying attention in math classes. My hope for this location is that the cashiers learn to work a register, clean the drink stations, and familiarize themselves with the 7-Eleven App. Happy ending to this story is that the Slurpees were all cool, refreshing, and delicious. Oh thank heaven for 7-Eleven ;)

Ethan and The Bean operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit with a noble mission of providing meaningful employment opportunities for folks with autism or intellectual disabilities that give its employees hands-on training, mentoring, and skills development to build their self-confidence and give them a sense of purpose. The Morristown location, just across Speedwell Avenue from the Hyatt Grand Regency, is open and airy with plenty of seating, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and free WiFi for those who need to get some work done or seek a temporary distraction from those around them. On my most recent visit to ETB, I had a pistachio latte - made with coconut milk and pistachio syrup and served in a cup rimmed with pistachio cream - which was fantastic! The taste and quality of the beverages - including a variety of organic coffees and tea options ranging from mundane drip coffees to more complex, perfectly executed creations of -cinos and lattes that are available with dairy milk or non-dairy milk alternatives - and the ambiance do come at a price, which are slightly higher than your usual convenience store coffee but in line with the other coffee specialty shops on South Street - but it's worth it to me (as it should be to you) due to the quality of the product and its noble mission. PRO TIP #1: ETB doesn't have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking off Speedwell Avenue and Cattano Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, the Morristown Parking Authority's Dalton Garage (@ 25 Cattano Avenue) are a short walk to ETB.

The moment you walk in, you can tell the place is well-maintained, has the same size and layout as the West Coast. . Everything feels fresh, organized, and inviting. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Now for the best part--the bakery items. Everything I tried was delicious and the prices are so reasonable compared to Paris Baguette. The breads were soft and flavorful, the pastries perfectly balanced (not overly sweet), and you can really taste the quality in every bite. It brought back the same great experience I've always had in LA. This bakery. chain is more of an old school Chinese bakery (which I love) rather than a more modern Korean take on pastries and buns like Paris Baguette (overpriced). So glad to have a location like this closer to home. I'll definitely be coming back often!

I suppose having all of them wrapped helps to preserve the freshness, but I don't know- it seems a bit excessive. I got 4 items to try. So far I just had the choco bun. Wow! Can't say I've had anything like it. Tastes almost like a chocolate bagel with a smooth, chocolate filling on the inside. Not overly sweet! I like this one a lot. I also got the salt bread and white chocolate strawberry bread. Looking forward to trying the others!
