The deli area could use some serious TLC. Crumbs all over the counter, things just needed a rag ran through them. Not filthy, but dirty enough to turn you off. It didn't smell the best in there. It was only me, I'm sure there was time for some cleaning. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich hoping really hard for the best due to said desperation lol. The guy who made it was really nice, he looked like he took his job very serious & really focused on making me a good sandwich. Seasoned it very well, not overly heavy on the mayo. For what it was, it nearly got a solid 3 1/2 but the chicken wasn't the greatest & the worst thing of all was the taste of heavy oil. He put it on the greens inside the sandwich and tried to toast it with oil on the grill. Waaaaaaaay too much oil. The feeling of eating something healthy flew out the window lol. We asked for the manager inside their small convenient store, and the two men inside didn't even flinch/react when we told them what had happened, they showed absolutely NO care to be proactive about what was going on, and they did NOT care how their gas attendants treated women! It might sound silly to some, but we all have mothers, daughters, sisters, cousins, friends who are WOMEN. This behavior can happen to anyone, and their behavior won't stop at us. Tonight I went in and was about to buy 3 drinks from the fridge and an x-large big gulp, but there was no lid for the big gulp and no straw. So not to cause an issue I took one of the slurpee lids and a slurpee straw. Got to the counter and mentioned there were no more lids or straws for the x-large big gulps. He said really and walked away. My son said I'll tell him we also need a straw, I said ok. So as he was walking off my son said excuse me sir we also need a straw. He continues walking and acted like he didn't hear him, so on his way back with the wrong lid my son said, I don't think he heard me because he only brought a different lid. So as he walked away the second time, my son said again, we also need a (before he could finish the word) straw, the salesman said (in a very aggressive and aggravated tone) I heard you!!
