Typical 7-Eleven. This one on Main in Lakeside in a strip mall shared with a Domino's Pizza, a bait and tackle shop and a car wash. The lot, especially near the car wash, seems to be a popular gathering place for the local homeless population. They don't seem to bother anybody though. Our credit union allows us to use any 7-11 ATM without charging any fees. That is why I found myself in this one. I needed some cash. While I typically am not a fan of 7-11 ATMs, they are super convenient. The one in this store was no different. Shitty ATM, but convenient and got the job done. read more

This 7 Eleven is located right on a very busy intersection right near the 67 freeway entrance, so one would consider it ideal, as locations go. I stopped in to pick up a 32 oz iced tea and a Super Lotto ticket. New girl working night shift is amazing. Her attitude is awesome, she's always so friendly, she is very helpful, I've seen her work so hard, you need more people like her. She's all about the customer. If she's not working I won't even go in and I'm not the only one who does that. Everytime I go in she is working her butt off I hope she gets paid what she's worth. Compared to the other girl that works with her during the week in the morning that other girl is rude as hell. Thank you for hiring the new girl you need more like her. read more

The lines get long way too often at this 711. Sometimes you're waiting for over 15 minutes in line. I don't know if the issue is that they're under staffed or just plain slow, but it needs to be worked on. The place is clean and I'll continue coming because it's closest to my work, but it would be nice to not waste so much time in line. read more

Good location off the main road area. I would agree that this place has a lot of odd people all around it, but it isn't like its 7 Elevens fault. Anyway the check out lady was sorta rude which was lame given I was polite. I have been to this 7-11 a few times and the young lady that works in the front with the long brown hair should really find another job. Every time I have gone there she doesn't say a word while checking me out. I don't expect a lot of chatter but hello or a thank you would suffice. It is a 7-11 folks. There are slurpees and easy-to-grab processed food items. Best part about this location is that is it by a pretty decent Mexican food place and there is a Red Box outside. My cell phone ran out of battery and my written directions failed me. I stopped by this place and asked the cashier "James" for directions on how to get to the freeway that I needed. He gladly wrote down the directions for me and I ended up home nice and safe. Big thanks to James! read more

I'm in this store practically every day. The hardworking staff are always polite, keeping the store as clean as possible and well-stocked. While quick and efficient, they're far more sociable, have better attitudes, and are in general more professional than the incredibly rude Southern California "norm" that usually passes for "customer service." The "Coffee Angel" in the morning is the most important person in Lakeside, in my opinion. :) This tiny lady lifts coffee containers as big as she is and does a great job of taking care of that part of the store. This 7-Eleven DOES have a major problem, though. There are loads of homeless, alcoholics, meth heads and other substance abusers that hang around outside, day and night. One day last year, there was even a hypodermic needle (presumably used) left just below the counter clerks' eyesight level, above the candy in front of the register. Terrifying. There's no local police force in Lakeside, only County Sheriffs officers that don't seem to want to be bothered with what goes on out here. Considering this store always seems to be well staffed, I wonder why the owners couldn't post a security guard outside to clear loiterers off. As it is, they treat this 7-Eleven like it's their headquarters. read more

Let me start off by saying that a 1 isn't nearly low enough for this particular transaction. At the very best, it should be closer to a -3. My mother went in to this location to purchase a coffee and a Mountain Dew (The mountain dew was for me and I was in the car!). The total came out to $4.57 and my mother handed the woman a $20.00 bill. The cashier then handed my mother back .43. When she was asked where the change from the $20.00 bill was, the woman replied with "I entered $5.00, you will have to wait until tomorrow morning to see if the cash drawer is $15.00 over". There was a man standing in line the whole time who witnessed this exchange and even informed the cashier that it was in fact a $20.00 bill. There was no resolution and I am also positive that she will never see the remainder of her hard earned money. I find it repulsive that this store employs such dishonest and rude help. read more

Trailer trash need employment too. So the nasty blond girl at the 7 11 on Mapleview and Maine got a boo boo on her finger. Apparently it is all green and dripping pus everywhere. She made it a point to inform all of us waiting in line. No chili dog today, thanks. She is also in the process of a major break up back at the trailer park and couldn't hardly tear the phone from her ear. It was a wonder I got my oj at all. She was so busy talking on the phone she barely found the time to accost me for daring to tell her she was being rude and her conversations on the phone should probably happen on her break time. She then followed me outside to continue the harassment. No wonder Cletus isn't satisfied with this mediocre pile of garbage. What ever happened to customer service? Bubba N in the other review is right, great location but at what cost? The help there is nil at best and standard Lakeside at it's worst. No need to complain to the management, they are just as trashy. The old lady Pepper is one of the rudest people I have encountered and she is in charge. No wonder the employees don't give a care, with terrible examples like Pepper and Trailer girl leading the charge. But the Rodeo folks never seem to mind, and that's all that matters, right?
