Came here after visiting Jackson Park up the street. Needed a drink after playing tag and running around with the god daughter. Kids are energy vampires! Standard 7-Eleven... (relatively) fresh coffee, slurpee machine, candy, ATM and so forth. They will actually make brew a fresh batch of coffee (if it's old) and if you ask them. Too late in the evening for me for caffeine, so I didn't ask. I did need some money. Since I'm a credit union member I can use 7-Eleven ATMs free of charge. I withdrew some cash for dinner (at Bronx Pizza) and we got a couple of drinks. Store is nice and clean. The employee there was mopping the floor. We didn't want to mess up the mop job, so we walked around where the employee was mopping. We were in and out quickly. There was a line, but another employee opened another register. Nice standard 7-Eleven... nothing really stood out.

This is the Slurpee spot closest to my favorite nacho spot. I come in here to get my Slurpee fix and occasional what nots. It's a pretty basic store. They have Slurpee machines, a regular drink machine, and of course coffee. There are some fresh food options and they sell pizza here that my kid for some odd reason enjoys. Be sure to check the expiration dates on your products though, I once got all the way home with milk and saw that it had expired a week earlier like a dummy. The staff here are usually nice. They aren't all smiley, but this doesn't bother me because it's 7-11 and I'm just here for the Slurpees. Sign up for their 7Rewards app and every 7th cup of any drink is free, plus they have other offers added the more often you scan it.

    Wow really?

I'm pretty sure this 7-11 exists purely to supply me with fountain sodas for my trips to El Azteca Taco Shop.

So far, I've tried the pandan, the brown sugar, and the sesame latte all iced w/ oat milk and they've all been a hit. The pandan is easily my fave, but if you're trying the brown sugar and don't love super sweet drinks I'd recommend adding an extra shot to balance it out. The drinks are consistently good and you can tell they really care about the quality. It's one of those spots you keep thinking about and end up going back to without even planning it. Customer service was solid and there's plenty of seating, which makes it a nice place to hang out or get some work done. Parking was also easy, which is always a win. Highly recommend checking this place out especially if you're a pandan lover like me!

It would usually take a half hour to get a simple drink order. Food that was previously wow turned into meh (I'm looking at you, shashuka). I don't blame the baristas. I don't think the business owners ever properly streamlined their ordering process / menu to get items out effectively. I hope we get something nice to replace this space.

Ordered two coffees, the coconut coffee & the Turkish hazelnut coffee. The coconut coffee has real coconut flakes in it,which makes the overall taste come through much better. Looking forward to coming back to try other drinks.

Update after the owner's response:…read more I appreciate the response, but I stand by my experience. Whether the wait was 5 minutes or 20, we were standing at the pickup counter after receiving a notification that our order was ready, and no one acknowledged us until we spoke up. During a rush, communication still matters. I also want to clarify that I never claimed to have a dairy intolerance or allergy, because I do not. I simply stated that all of us became sick shortly after consuming the drinks and pastry we purchased there. I never claimed to know the exact cause -- only the timing of what occurred. What disappointed me most was not just the experience itself, but the defensive and dismissive tone of the response instead of a more professional acknowledgment of a customer concern. I genuinely wanted to enjoy this place because it is cute and came recommended to me, but unfortunately this was my experience.

I was on my way to church and needed an early cup and was surprised how many shops were not open at 7 AM. I'm sure I could have found a Starbucks but that's always reserved for a last resort. Big props to this spot being open early on a Sunday morning, so I could make it to church prayed up and fully caffeinated. The barista opened right on time (7 AM) I loved how friendly she was for it being that early, and she got me my drink within 3-4 minutes. I am not a big coffee drive-thru guy, but if I lived in the area, especially knowing it is veteran owned, I might become one. Thanks guys and best of luck!

I unfortunately chose the wrong line and got stuck behind this cop who was ordering but also decided to get out and help capture a lost dog which made 3 other cars cut in line ahead of me... the workers were very sweet and noticed I had been waiting and came out right away to help and make sure I got my order taken! The la mesa latte was super yummy and while I'm not the biggest fan of cold foam on lattes this one was pleasantly good! I had also gotten a bagel with cream cheese which I don't believe was toasted and would say that was the only downside but the delicious amount of cream cheese definitely helped.
