While this might not be the 7-11 or convince store location some would suspect is sketchy AF, it is. I think I might take my chances in the hood long before trusting this location. Don't get me wrong, some of the staff can be cool or at least decent. Honestly, drug deals and drugs being done in the parking lot of places isn't even something I consider my business most days or ways; I'll usually just go. March 3rd this year, this got suspect enough for me to record after a worker was outside with some clientele or friends for around 20 minutes or so and I suspect it's more than the mary jane smell. read more

I don't know why I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt....but every time I stop by for coffee in the morning (typically between 6:00 and 7:00 am) the canisters are empty or almost empty and cold.....I must have really bad luck or......‍ frustrating when you just need to run in and grab a cup! read more

They overcharge and complain if you catch them.. Prices are artificially high. Everything is 25% to 30% higher than any other store. They don't honor the 7-11 discount card. The worse is they will steal your change. In Italy they call it "slow money". Here it's just robbery. read more

An okay 7-Eleven located in a funky parking lot shared with a gas station and a liquor store. As a result, parking can be a pain at this 7-Eleven. I came in to pick up a few items and to use their Coop ATM that does not charge fees if you are part of a credit union. The store was a little dingy, especially outside but I was able to get everything I needed so that was good. Inside, they may want to keep the coffee island a little better organized because towards the end of the day when I came, it had certainly seen some abuse. This is on my list of: San Diego's most sketchy 7-11s. Although it's conveniently located next to my friends' apartments...there's something a little unsettling about this store. It may have been the guy that tapped on my window late at night to ask for change for a twenty bc no one would open the drawer for him- and after I said I couldn't help him...he replied, "It's okay. I'll just get change from the ATM." (I know what you're thinking. I thought the same. And no, I didn't respond to that). I was in the area, dropping someone off and I went and got my usual slurpee that I have on a weekly basis. Yes, I love 7 Eleven, I grabbed a chicken salad sandwich and wanted to get my slurpee, but the flavor I wanted ran out, so I had to get my second choice. I told the guy who worked there about it running out and he felt bad for me and didn't charge me for my slurpee in the domo cup. I LOVE DOMO! Very cool, I know it was only $1.99 but that was a nice gesture. :) read more

This is my second home! I come here very often. I'm sad because I am moving and it won't be the closest 7-eleven to me anymore :( Wherever you are , especially in a big city like San Diego you will find a 7-eleven in almost every corner. The only 7-eleven that I ever found that had good customer service was that of one off of broadway street down in Chula Vista. It's been over 9 years since I've lived there and gone through many other 7-elevens and had never found another great 7-eleven with great customer service until now. I moved to La Mesa within the last year. We first came here because it had a red box. Than better news, they carried my favorite slurpee flavor! Every person I've ever come across has been sweet. My boyfriend and I are regulars so we know the employees well. I also love coming here in the mornings when I wake up to late to make my own coffee. Average 7-11 with the junkies, pimps and homeless guys outside of it. Once you walk in though the staff is helpful and regular selection. I get donuts here and love the pink ones with sprinkles. They remind me of a time when I liked to watch the Simpsons. Busy parking lot with the gas station across so watch out for unaware drivers. You know the type. read more

I was customer for over 4 years. I started to take my kids for Slurpee and my kids have noticed that the been over charge us. I bought an extra item was marked at $6.99 and found out they over charge me extra $2 and charged me $8.99. the issue was reported to 7 eleven headquarter. This gets 4 stars, based on comparison to other 7-11's. They may not look like the friendliest people, but they know how to joke around. And they're super efficient. And to be honest, thats all I want from a convenience store. And as an extra bonus, its always pretty clean there, which beats a lot of other 7-Elevens. read more

Just as good as any 7-11 I suppose. Staff is usually friendly. I really, really, really do not like all the creepy people that hang out outside the door though. being next to a bar and a "puff and stuff" doesnt really help with the clientel I guess. I never go to this 7-11 at night. read more
