Awesome coffee selection
Albert Z.

I made a quick pit stop at this 7-Eleven for some soft drinks and snacks for a long vehicle journey to Oregon. As usual I could count on 7-eleven for everything I needed for the road and a reasonable price for convenience. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. The restroom was clean and for once, didn't smell like piss. There is plenty of parking a the place is well lite at night. I am rating this particular 7-11 a solid five stars because of cleanliness and the great customer service experience.

Free 7.11 ounce Slurpee

I know it's just a 7-Eleven, but I got excited and giddy when the store finally opened near work. This location is small and narrow compared to others, but carries most of what I expect from any other 7-Eleven. I come mainly for their Slurpee. They do have a sugar free Slurpee, but I go for Coke every single time. Nacho cheese and chili available for hot dogs and chips to satisfy any junk food craving. Hopefully this location stays clean and stays in business.

One of my favorite matcha spots in OC! Their matcha drinks are superior with amazing flavors, and a…read morerich and balanced matcha taste. The line gets long on the weekend and we waited about 30 mins before finally ordering but it was definitely worth the wait. There is limited parking in the lot but there is street parking available around the lot. I loved their mango matcha which had a delicious tasting mango puree. The coconut matcha was so refreshing with great tasting coconut water (which can really make or break a coconut matcha drink). And the triple matcha was so smooth and rich from the matcha latte base, delicious matcha cream top, and a refreshing matcha sorbet. All of their drinks were delicious and I would definitely recommend checking them out!

An extremely popular spot, with long lines 7 days a week, worst on weekends…read more Today was the shortest line we had seen -- around 15-20 people on a Tuesday at 1030a. The flow is odd -- after waiting in line, you stand at the doorway and wait for the barista to call you inside. After ordering with the barista, you turn to the cashier and repeat your order and pay for your drinks. Then you wait outside (or sit in the small bench by the barista) and wait for your drink. I had the matcha level 2 (light syrup). It was good, but not mind-blowing. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but seeing the crazy lines would suggest some nirvana-like experience. My wife had a coconut coffee and it was good, but (again) nothing out of this world. This was a fun visit, but frankly I don't understand the hype. I'm glad others love it and I wish the business continued success!

To be honest, I find a lot of coffee shops to taste the same and repeat a lot of the same drinks. However, Phin Smith has its own signature through-line that makes it unique. I like that all the drinks have a sort of coconut or pandan very Vietnamese and tropical undertone. I have enjoyed all of the offerings here, both coffee and matcha, but especially the Oahu Joe. I can just feel like the whole team puts in so much effort into curating the menu, writing recipes, brewing the coffee, preparing the drinks. The staff are pretty professional and helpful. I really like the location and the space. It is located in historic downtown Garden Grove which has a unique charm that is distinctive or from the rest of city. It is very spacious and a good place to get some work done, study, chat, or just relax. The interior design is Spanish-inspired and rustic which is not the most common or popular coffee shop design style so I really like how distinctive and special it is. I will be coming back to Phin Smith for years to come and I genuinely recommend coming here.

That's excellent customer service in my opinion. I would 1000% come back because of the service and the delicious coffee.

Theres a lot of space to get work done too! The baristas were very quick with our relatively large order. The coffee house is in a larger plaza with lots of breakfast spots, so its PACKED. But, it makes sense because this place is so popular. Going in, I had no idea what to expect, but this place exceeded any expectations I could've had. The line area was organized and separated from the seating area, the line moved very fast, and the workers were so friendly! They had a large variety of drink and food options, but I ended up getting a hot Spanish latte and a banana muffin. They give you buzzers here which make the waiting process a whole lot less stressful. My drink and food came out quick, but while I was waiting I noticed that thing place has a variety of seating, from couch chairs, to group tables, to low seating outdoors. Everything feels nice and organized and there's so much attention to detail. Keep in mind it is very noisy here from how many people just sit down to hang out, and there's also a bar, which I think they serve matcha at? Now for my food, I got my banana muffin warmed. It's soft, fluffy, packs a lot of banana flavor, and most of all, I could tell it was baked fresh! This isn't one of those cafes that serves mediocre pastries, but will give you a hearty baked good to compliment your drink! My Spanish latte was perfectly hot, with the right touch of milk and spices. Surprisingly, it had a good amount of espresso, but not too much to be overpowering. Overall, my experience here was amazing and I would love to come back to try more of their baked goods! I alsoo really liked their lids, which come with a flippable stopper to keep your drink hot.
