The difference between the 2 salad sizes is $1 so made sense to just get the large. It was a good size salad but would've been perfect if it had cilantro and/or some scallions. They actually forgot smoothie at 1st and I had to find them to make it. The place itself is a good size with both indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell some baked goods and coffee. I think next time I'll get a sandwhich and soup.

On my previous visits, the food was prepared by the owner or their family members, and the sandwiches were excellent--high quality and generously filled. Lately, it seems a younger employee is making the sandwiches, and they are not being prepared correctly. I understand the economy is tough, but when customers spend their hard-earned money to support a local business and treat themselves, they shouldn't be consistently dissatisfied. Today, I ordered a pesto sandwich and a smoked turkey sandwich, specifically paying extra for additional meat because I had noticed a trend of skimpy portions. Unfortunately, as you can see in the comparison photos, both arrived with barely any meat at all. I actually called the restaurant to address this. The young man on the phone sounded embarrassed but told me there was nothing he could do and instructed me to contact DoorDash. I am sharing this--along with the side-by-side photos of how great the pesto sandwich used to be versus what is being made now--in the sincere hope that it helps the management improve their standards rather than discourage them. Sadly, after three strikes, I won't be returning.

I SUCCESSFULLY FOUND THE ESTABLISHMENT WITH GOOGLE MAPS after driving around in circles and being told to park near hwy 12 then to walk here! I tried the Cinnamon Roll Latte with soy (I'm vegan) which was super creamy. I'd recommend it. I'll be back to try the Bewley's Fair Trade Chai, Cafe White Mocha and the Vanilla Cream Avalanche. Cool place to study! They've also got a system where they store your information which is pretty cool and convenient. If you're using google maps, this place isn't hard to find. I'll definitely be coming here more often.

Workers are very helpful and nice. 3. Ample seating + outlets? Tons & it's very spacious; perfect for studying/working on laptop. 4. Nice lighting? Yes, and during the day lots of sunlight enters the cafe through their ceiling-to-floor windows. 5. Clean bathroom? Yes. 6. Food? I didn't try anything, so I can't rate it. They make sandwiches & have pastries. Con: 1. It's hidden. But that just may be a good thing = more seating for you and it allows for a relaxing atmosphere, especially if you want to get work done. Just look up directions for Mount Calvary Baptist Church and you'll find it. It's across the parking lot from the church.

Couple others ordered the Cubano and said they enjoyed it. Service was attentive and quick. One odd moment occurred... me, my wife and her aunt arrived before others and ordered a cappuccino each. It came in a large glass mug. After the other 5 showed up they also ordered coffee but they received it in to go cups. When we asked why they said they ran out of clean coffee cups.... The views are spectacular and we sat outside. Definitely someplace to try again next time with a glass of wine.

There's a counter area where you can order coffee, pastries, breakfast items, or food to-go, while the left side has a hostess stand if you'd prefer full table service inside or on the patio. The brunch menu was a bit limited, and I ended up ordering the croissant sandwich. The croissant itself was soft and fresh, but overall the sandwich left me wanting a little more flavor. It was on the smaller side, didn't have much bacon, and even with the preserved tomato aioli it felt a bit underwhelming. The breakfast potatoes also weren't really my favorite. They were small whole potatoes with the skins on and heavily seasoned with cayenne pepper. Personally, I would've liked another side option such as fresh fruit. That said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. For two croissant sandwiches, two iced teas, and a side of fries, the total came to around $70 with tip, which felt a little pricey for the overall experience. The property itself is beautiful. It looks like they host live music and events in the outdoor quad area, and I noticed they also offer wood-fired pizza after 11 AM, which honestly sounds worth coming back to try. Overall, I have mixed feelings as the atmosphere and service were great, but the food didn't quite live up to expectations for me personally.
