Educate your staff: under CALIFORNIA LAW CHECKING ID is ONLY required for alcohol purchases, not for individuals who are NOT making such purchases. This appears to be a stupid store policy rather than a legal requirement. However, your cashier ignorantly claimed that checking every single person's ID is required by California law at 4:50pm on 7/28/25. If I'm not purchasing, I'm not going to be forced to show my ID. What are you guys, liquor store sheriffs?? I'm not buying it so I don't need to show an ID. Where does this made up policy come from??? And she got very very defensive towards us. I have no time for ignorant people or business like this. To be honest, I've only experienced this kind of EXCESSIVE ID ENFORCEMENT in Fairfield, Bevmo where every single person approaching the cashier is asked for ID. But because someone in my group (who wasn't even buying anything!) didn't have their ID, the cashier refused to sell it to me. Are you serious? Since when is it illegal for someone just standing next to you to not have ID? The staff treated us like criminals and made a scene in front of other customers. Super condescending and rude about it too. The manager came over and just doubled down with the same attitude, offering no flexibility, no explanation, nothing. I get checking IDs, but this was over the top and embarrassing. 0/10 Usually go to this BevMo for all of my alcohol and the staff assisted and declined my purchase because of my Driver License because I choose to hand the cashier that instead of my Identification card. Supervisor and manager agreed it was fine but the main staff that was doing my check out stated no because it's part of protocol. Called to ask if they do a curbside pick up and they do!! I don't know if it's because of the pandemic that that's available but I hope when not I can still be able to since I am in a wheelchair, I definitely need the assistance but to say the least I was so in and out. Stopped by after having dinner with my BF. We were looking forward to decompress and enjoy the night at home with some drinks so we stopped by since we were in the area. I was expecting to pay a lot for a 1.75L Tito's vodka but saw it was on special for $29.99 (about $8 difference to the size before this one) so we went for it. We also got pineapple juice cans, a big Aquafina water bottle, and one other thing I can't remember. I absolutely love walking through BevMo! It's so much fun seeing all the different kinds of drinks and discovering new ones. This is where I purchased my first mandarin Hanger1 that I still have! I save it for special occasions since there was only 1 when I first bought it. Thought they were seasonal. But to my surprise I saw so many my last visit. Now I can for sure finish that bottle and grab a new one. I don't drink alcohol too often but when I do it's either Hanger1 or Tito's-they never disappoint. Anyway, we got our items and made our way to the register. My number is registered with BevMo for deals so I gave the cashier that. My total for all items ended up being $29.99 wait what!!! The bottle alone was $29.99, and what about my other items? I didn't question it and when I saw the receipt I saw I got $9.00 off! Crazy. This place is well organized and fully stocked with almost every brand, and version of drinks imaginable from pop, wine, beer, alcohol and liqueurs. There is a huge selection of wines from all over the state and even other parts of the world. All described by vintage, color, location of the winery and even what awards they may have won. I found soft drinks I enjoyed as a child, but forgot about later in life that were actually on the shelves, bringing back fun memories of the olden days. But even better, are all the fine liquors they carry priced within budget up to the extremely rare and expensive! Sometimes I just like looking at all the fun gift items, bar ware, unique snacks and gourmet cheeses. We just happened to be in the area on our way to a party and hurriedly stopped by to pick up some IPA's and a few other supplies. While this store was a little smaller than other's we have been to, it was a pleasant place to shop. You can't go wrong at BevMo when it comes to finding what you need in a pinch! read more

Whatever you do don't buy their caviar because it's probably expired! I bought some on 12/28 for New Year's and discovered it expired on 9/2023! I've asked the store to exchange it and they said no because I didn't save the receipt. They told me to email their customer service and request a copy of the receipt which I did but no response! Went in there to purchase a wine gift and some other items to use my gift card I received from my brother, the girl who helped me with the wine had excellent customer service skills and even complimented me on my outfit! When I went to checkout, I too was asked for ID, I am 64! Maybe they are on probation for previous sale violation and have to ask everyone, I chuckled..But when the gift card would not go through the guy said they had alot of problems and I would have to call..I came home and called but they conveniently state extremely busy and to email them..I went to check the balance on the card and it says we are having difficulty fetching the card information. Stopped here to pick up a bottle of vodka for a white elephant gift on my way to my companies Christmas party. The line was long with two cashiers. Neither appeared friendly or happy to be there. Based on their phone tree, the customer service provided when you're connected with an employee, the selection available on the website and the delivery service, this is a great option for the Fairfield area. I was having one heck of a time finding anyone who carried and would do same-day delivery for a nice gift I was trying to source for a colleague. It was even hard finding quality phone customer service, as most places I called would hang up when they realized they couldn't get business, if they even picked up in the first place! From what I could tell, this is because Fairfield primarily has grocery store or strip mall liquor options, and is JUST far enough from Napa that no one there will deliver...and definitely too far for Berkeley and Oakland options. The rep I spoke with was super nice and knowledgeable. The selection on the website offered everything for any price point. Boo to having to set up an account to place an order (rather than offering a guest order option). But what a great find! read more

Stopped by this store today to pick up a few items. I was specifically looking for Crème de Cassis. After walking each of the isles, I asked for help. One clerk said to go down a certain isle and I'll find it. Unfortunately, I could not locate it. I stopped another clerk in an isle and asked him for his help. The clerk said he was too busy and did not have time. I went back to the front of the store, waited on another clerk to get her attention. After waiting around, she finally acknowledged me and also said she was too busy to help me. So, I left over $150.00 worth of product and left the store. Even though the store has a new layout it was really easy to find what I was looking for. I love how they have more variety of chips now! When I walked in, as usual I was greeted, which I love. I found what I needed, and then some and the cashier Sereniti, who had greeted me, was nice and made sure I found everything I needed. She mentioned the Gopuff, and continued to do so even though I had mentioned a previous employee had already done so, I think his name was James? He was nice as well. My husband and I visited the store and we were to spend quite some money but once we got to the cash registered we were both asked for our ID's like not even a friendly hi or anything..., my husband had just noticed it was expired and they would't sell the alcohol not even to myself alone... like if his expired ID changed his age (what a joke) I asked if I could just go out and come back in and purchase what was already in our cart and they declined... ridiculous! They said they had to follow ruled but the have a paper that states their capacity is 20 due to Covid and im pretty sure there was more than 20 people in the store no one counting the people in and out... this store sucks! read more

I've been to this BevMo a few times now and every time I come the cashier , Catherine, will always be there but if you ask me, it looks like she hates her job. Never greets the customers as you walk in the store like all of the other employees do. And if she does greet somebody, it's with a sour attitude. Went to BevMo today with my daughter who is 21 and Reyanna would not sell us the wine because my wife who is a over 40 did not have her ID. My wife was not purchasing the wine so there is no reason for her to have her ID. Whenever we are in BevMo and Reyanna is working she always has an attitude with myself or other customers in the store. I make it a point not to ask her for help or let her ring me up. The selection is somewhat overwhelming but a good overwhelming :) I live right by a BevMo in San Ramon but never actually ventured in. So FYI when picking up a 15 gallon Keg, call to make sure they have whatever you want on tap or get ready to go with your second-best just in case they don't have.
