Haraz The good:…read more Wonderful decor and ambiance, really spacious. Plenty of seating. Lots of sunlight. Tall ceilings. No annoying music, great for conversation. Open later than most coffee shops, especially in this deserted part of town. Varied drink menu, both caffeinated and not caffeinated, including refreshers. Nice creative variety of desserts (including a Biscoff cake!) and a kolaches case. At one point the brought some hot baked dessert (looked like a whole coffee cake) out the oven and it smelled like heaven. The bad: Nothing vegan or healthy, not even pre-made cold sandwiches or packaged salads. If you are a little peckish for a healthy snack, this is not the place. The coffees: They have all the regular espresso drinks, and also Turkish coffee and of course Yemeni, their specialty. I had heard great things about Yemeni coffee and was exciting to try it. My first drink, a traditional coffee drink called Jubani ($6) contained coffee but was watery like a tea. It had also ginger and cinnamon. I was not expecting it to be like a tea. I immediately told the cashier I didn't like the drink and would like just an Americano, double shot espresso. I was charged $9 for a 12 oz cup. No cream or sugar, no added flavorings. If I were in charge I wouldn't have charged for this second drink, since it comes at almost zero cost to them and would show good faith and ensure repeat business. Disappointingly, the Americano was also watery and sort of "lemony", but I still drank half while sitting with my friend. I'll say that my friend had some sort of an iced latte that she enjoyed. I might try a second visit and order a Turkish coffee, but I will make sure to have had a full meal before.

We've been twice for lunch, but yesterday we spontaneously decided to break routine and go out for breakfast. We're still off of our diets after vacation in Paris, and we both secretly wanted to extend vacation (and indulgent food) one more day before facing work and healthy habits on Monday. Normally we get eggs for breakfast at other diners, but this time we were thinking alike, and decided to get the thing most unlike what we regularly eat - waffles topped with bananas, chocolate chips, and peanut butter, with chicken on the side. Sugar free syrup was an option, thankfully, because I have to reign it in somewhere. The waffle wasn't quite as crispy as I like, but with all those toppings it would be hard for it to be bad! However, the chicken tenders were the surprise hit of the meal! They were moist and the breading was light and crispy. There were quite a few people there on a Sunday morning, and some seemed to be regulars. I'd like to find something on the menu that wows me so that we become regulars too, but so far it's coming in at just satisfactory. Since we don't allow ourselves many treat meals, the calories really have to be worth it to keep coming back. We'll give it a few more tries. Our servers were extremely friendly. I want to love this place! We'll try a few more times and see what the verdict is!

Now it's been many years since I've been home but it's a craving that is always there and hard to fill. Cafe 290 does just that! Great home cooked meals, typical Diner sized portions (very large) and breakfast at any time of the day! Let's be honest, it's never the wrong time for breakfast! It feels like you are sitting in your home kitchen, the staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is typical Texas Diner, and there is nothing wrong with that! Few pictures, and good ole classic cheeseburger! 1lb of meat... good luck, taste great but sheesh, it's hefty, the quesadilla is 10/10 with chicken, idk why it just bangs every time! And the very classic egg omelette! Get the diced potatoes, it's all divine! LASTLY and probably most important! THEY HAVE HOMEMADE CAKE AND PIE by the slice. It's expensive, listen to me here, it's worth the price, massive slices and fresh every day and THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!

FINALLY I decided to make some time and check it out. It was a Saturday afternoon around 10 AM. When looking it up here on Yelp I noticed it has the location much further out in Elgin or so, but it's actually right next to Old Kimbro Road. Walking up to it, it's a beautiful truck with all of the menu options all over it. I was greeted by a very nice woman inside who took my order. I ordered an iced latte with vanilla and a breakfast bagel sandwich. The coffee was delicious--creamy and sweet as it should be! And the breakfast sandwich was also great. The bagel was soft and dough-y, and the bacon and egg had good flavor. It's a generous size as well! I didn't expect to get as full as I did with it. I took it to go and I loved the business stickers and packaging! Overall had a great experience here and will definitely be back. Skip Starbucks and Go Local!!! You won't regret it!!

They have their menu posted all over their truck and a small sign above their window advertising their new cold brew. I took two. The total came out to be just over $8 (I did ask for oat milk and vanilla syrup in both) and added a tip to support my local business. The coffee was on the sweeter side and had a creamier taste. My dog and I waited at the swing table briefly and the woman offered my dog a dog treat in which she happily accepted. Great service and great coffee close to home. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying new things on their menu!

Since it's been a while I've had Dutch Bros I didn't want to be that customer who held up the drive thru so I parked and walked up to the window. It was closed and they have placed a shelf on the window which blocks their view if any customers are standing there wanting to order. I was able to get their attention, but I am guessing they do not get a lot of walk up orders. They are plugging the fall drinks and the Banana Cookie Butter just started which looked so good. She said she hadn't tried it yet. My go to is the Cocomo Iced Drink which is expresso, coconut and chocolate milk. I've had Golden Eagle (expresso, caramel & vanilla breve, caramel drizzle) but Cocomo always hits the spot. I always make sure to get oat or coconut milk, and no sugar - which is their sugar substitute option - and very light ice. Drink came out in a few minutes and with the perfect amount of ice and it tasted great - just as I remembered. Very consistent, and I love all the sugar free options Dutch Bros offers. When I approached the walk up window it took a bit longer than I expected to be acknowledged. The drive-thru had a slow stream of cars, but they seemed to be fully staffed, so it didn't make sense when no one came to the window. That said, the employee who helped me was courteous. My cold brew arrived and she put a sticker over the hole so it wouldn't spill as I drove away. The one problem I encountered was the loud music. It was so loud that I had trouble hearing her talk to me. Also, I was disappointed to see that there is no seating available on the patio as I've enjoyed at other locations.

It was flavorful, smooth and nicely balanced. My latte was paired with a bacon, egg and cheese taco from Denizos down the street. Notably, the taco was stuffed with ingredients and the homemade flour tortilla elevated the taste. Also, they serve pastries from Sour Duck, which provides additional choices. In addition, they have a moderate amount seating inside and small amount of covered seating outside.
