It took me too long to check this place out, but receiving a gift card for helping a friend gave me the push I needed. The ambiance is nice and modern, but some of the artwork is a bit strange. The food and service were great! Our waiter was super knowledgeable about the whole menu and gave great recommendations, along with a lot of detail about various menu items. Being on the younger end of the age spectrum I've often felt overlooked or that I've received worse service at higher end restaurants due to my age, but that certainly wasn't the case here! I'm excited to visit again soon and try out some of their really compelling happy hour deals!

Extremely professional and attentive service! I honestly could not ask for more. Our server was on top of everything. We had a girls birthday brunch reservation for 12:30 and had a great time! They decorated the table, gave the birthday girl a coupon and brought out a dessert to share with a candle. We look forward to coming back this summer to enjoy the weather and view!

We came back here to celebrate Valentine's Day and the food is always so good! We both got the lobster roll and split a bottle of wine. Our server was very attentive and provided great recommendations. I can't wait to come back when it's nice out and sit on the beautiful patio!

We've been to 6Smith multiple times and it never disappoints. The ambience is incredible, set right on the lake with a warm and lively atmosphere that feels elevated without being stuffy. The service is always great. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely on top of things. The wine list is a standout and pairs beautifully with almost every dish. The steaks are consistently excellent, cooked exactly right and full of flavor. For starters, the meatballs are tender and deeply savory, and the bourbon and bacon comes in thick-cut slices with bold, delicious flavor. The Brussels sprouts are crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. "Bread is Life" is another fun starter. The baguette has a thick, crunchy crust that can be a little tough to cut, but the flavor makes it worth the effort. If you want seafood, the salmon is a sleeper hit. The corn and potato combination on the plate works surprisingly well. Their salads are huge and beautifully done. Make sure you save room for dessert. The portions are massive and indulgent. Great food, amazing wine, friendly service, and a lakefront setting you simply cannot beat.

My girlfriend and I came to 6Smith to celebrate a special occasion and from the moment we were seated, we knew it was going to be a great night. Our table was decorated with confetti and even had a personalized card, a small touch, but one that instantly made us feel special. Before I even get to the food, I have to shout out our server, Victoria H. She went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. Seriously, if her manager sees this, give her a raise! It was hands-down some of the best service I've ever had anywhere. Now onto the food; we started with oysters that were meaty, crisp, and full of flavor (which is impressive considering we're in a landlocked state). For dinner, we went with their Restaurant Week menu: I had the tuna tartare, short rib, and Oreo cheesecake. I was a little nervous about the tuna tartare since it was my first time trying it, but it was absolutely delicious. The short rib was melt-off-the-bone perfection, and the Oreo cheesecake was the cherry on top (I could've easily gone for a second slice). To make the night even more special, Victoria surprised us with a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our occasion. Between the amazing service, incredible food, and thoughtful details, 6Smith gave us a night we won't forget. Can't wait to come back for more!

Birthday celebrations so we tripled up on dessert! Mocha Mud Pie (severals of us' favorite dessert ever) and Fruit Crisp were top two!

This venue has a cool speakeasy vibe. I say get ready to ignore the prices, kick back and enjoy the great service, flavor rich menu items, and the company you are with! Love how they are not in hurry to get you out and focus on your overall experience. Thus making a reservation is recommended, made mine on OpenTable.

This was my second visit to 6Smith. Beautiful view and location, live music. Bread is Life - 10/10 - not sure who came first, but they seemed to have copied my favorite dish from Baldamar with different butters/dips for the bread. Excellent and best item we ate. Flank Steak - 7/10 - The chimichurri sauce I borrowed from our app really elevated this steak. On it's own, pretty average but maybe to be expected from a less tender steak. Hurricane (cocktail) - 5/10 - good flavors but way too much rum, not a balanced cocktail. On a previous visit I got their burger and remember enjoying that. Good service overall. For a steakhouse, there are better options but a solid restaurant.

6Smith killed it from our seating to the service, and most definitely our meals. Delicious was a complete understatement for our brunch and well worth the $$. If you're looking for a new spot to brunch, I'd highly recommend. BUT..... I dropped two stars because the next week we joined in for one of the worst dinner meals I've ever had :( and I'm really sad to report that, because I do love 6Smith. Didn't bother recapping this on my instagram, so I can't remember all that we ordered, but I know we won't be back. The pictures frankly don't tell enough of the story. (in order): lobster benedict // $34.95 house-made guac & corn tortilla chips // $16 chicken & waffles // $24.95

Came here for a business meal on June 10, 2025. The atmosphere was great. Large seating areas with great decor and nice views of water and local scenery! SERVICE: We were greeted quickly upon entry and seated for our reservation very timely. Although we were a large group and had extra servers attending to us, our service was a bit spotty and often had moments where we were waiting for them to come back to help us. Very nice people, but disappointing. FOOD: We tried several dishes as you can see from the pictures. The consensus was that the food was "ok". We tried the poke appetizer which was fabulous, and the bread was also a hit. The main dishes is where we had some misses. The filet was overcooked and 2 of the 3 short ribs (which we were excited about the meat "falling apart") was actually very tough and not as advertised. The scallops were tasty and the sides were excellent. I mentioned the short rib failure to the gentleman taking my food away, but no one ever came back to discuss the failure which I thought was unusual for a nice restaurant. Anyhoo. Probably not coming back, but good luck to the place as it has a great location.

I really like to take advantage of restaurant week. Encourages us to try places we haven't been to in a while. We did at 6SMITH and had a fabulous experience. Our server Logan lead the way providing good insights on menu. Not the usual "everything is great!" We started with having a glass of Justin Isosceles. Outstanding! MK had a wedge salad and no skimping on bacon here. I had Waygu meatballs with burrata and were wow good! Onto our entrees. We both had the filet cut we dressed differently. MK had American style which has a cheese and onion topping on a perfectly prepared medium filet. Portion size was healthy. I had an Oscar preparation on my filet. Super yummy asparagus, king crab and bearnaise sauce. Again, medium prep was fantastic! The mashed potatoes were super buttery and had to eat every bit! As dessert is part of menu for restaurant week we both had Oreo cheesecake and the portion size was just right and it was a tasty way to end this experience. It's a hopping spot in Wayzata. Beautiful restaurant. This place is a little pricey and restaurant week helps the wallet. Another shout out to Logan for making it special! Paul and Mary Kay Large parking lot here but may take a minute or two to find a spot.

I was here for a work event so we had a back room overlooking the lake. I took advantage of valet parking because we had a recent snow storm and didn't want to deal with ice and snow. So nice to just walk in. The spread in our room was awesome. Very private. Table seating for about 15. We started with hors devours which was a tartar, bruschetta, and something wrapped in bacon. All on sticks which made them very easy to eat and continue talking. For dinner we chose from a fixed menu with lots of options. Two salad options of which I chose the mixed greens. For dinner, I chose the filet which was cooked perfectly. We shared sides of creamy potatoes (yes super creamy and tasty) and Brussel sprouts which were roasted. So good! Finally we had a chocolate cake topped with ice cream. So much to eat and all very good. Service was absolutely excellent. We had at least two servers in our room. I was never in need of a drink or food or anything. They were so on top of it all. I can't speak for pricing because I was at an event. Great experience. I loved the modern vibe and the views of the lake. Will be a great place to come back to when the weather is much warmer.

The food was great. The rib eye was perfect, juicy and soft. We ordered couple of appetizers and those were delicious. For drinks, service was great and overall ambiance was just great. I totally recommend this place to visit and have a good supper

I visited 6Smith for the first time last weekend to celebrate my sister's birthday, and it did not disappoint! Having enjoyed multiple visits to Baldamar, I was excited to see what 6Smith had to offer, and it lived up to the hype. The menu was overwhelming in the best way--so many enticing options that I knew I couldn't go wrong. The Bread is Life was an absolute must-have: warm, soft, and paired with incredible accoutrements. I nearly ordered a second one to take home! We also decided to share the dry rub wings, and I'm so glad we did. They were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and moist while still achieving a nice crisp on the outside; just how wings should be. For dinner, I ordered the short rib, and I had zero regrets. Between the two appetizers, I barely made a dent in it and had plenty of leftovers to take home. The tamarind in the tomato-based sauce added a subtle hint of sweetness that perfectly complemented the savory flavor of the meat. I'd absolutely order it again, though with so many other tempting options on the menu, it may take me a while to circle back! Since we dined in early February, it was too dark to see the waterfront location, but I'm already looking forward to a return visit for brunch and a summer patio experience. The only downside to my visit was a small but frustrating detail: When I ordered a dirty martini, the server asked if I preferred regular or blue cheese olives. Naturally, I chose blue cheese (because, obviously), only to later notice a $2 surcharge on the bill. I don't mind paying extra, but I do mind not being informed upfront. It's a poor practice that left a bit of a sour note on an otherwise excellent experience. That said, I'll absolutely be back--there's still so much on the menu I want to try!

I've eaten here once before for a special event year prior and the food options were better in my opinion. The small plates got even smaller and more expensive. Not sure if the quality was better on things either. I was with 3 others and we all shared plates. chicken karaage was alright. I liked the crispiness was the sauce was nothing extravagant. Truffle Edamame - best thing I had! The only thing craveworthy that I had. Shrimp taco - smelled fishy but tasted better. I was able to split it into 2 since the shells are so small and the filling worked well in the 2 provided. Crispy rice with spicy tuna - this was fun to do but not as good as we were hoping. It was missing something. Shishito peppers- these were large and many had the seeds. Spicier due to this. Wagyu sushi tacos $24 for the tiny things and it looked like ground wagyu... felt like a cash grab. I didn't eat them but my crew ate 2 and didn't want to eat the last one. Chicken fried rice - good size and really gingery. Not my favorite but it was edible. Better value than other items. The sushi felt like Crave and they were teeny tiny. I didn't enjoy the fishiness so I was one and done. (I normally love seafood) Dessert- we split 2.. the churros and the tres leches. The churros needed some sweetness in the mixture as they were bland. I was hoping for a really good churro and these were just ok. The tres leches wasn't traditional and they should change the name to avoid confusion. They have a better happy hour if you sit at the bar. Our server was able to order us some fries. Despite not being in the bar area. Overall, I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat here. The drinks and happy hour, maybe. The cocktail menu was very nice and I tried a few of my friends drinks.

The Parker House rolls were the clear table favorite, served with three different spreads that were all worth trying. The Brussels sprouts were divine and the beef tenderloin was good, though the portion felt a little small for the price. The short rib special was amazing, but they weren't able to substitute the potatoes for a gluten free option, which meant the dish came out incomplete at full cost. Our waitress was apologetic and lovely about it, but it's not a great touch for a restaurant that otherwise does a nice job acknowledging dietary needs. The Eloise sundae is an absolute must.
