I was running errands today and realized that I hadn't had lunch. It was 3:30 pm and I decided to check out my Uber Eats app before I gnawed at my steering wheel. I found 6ix Burgers offering various BOGO deals on burgers. I got the Argonauts burger combo. The Argos burger is indeed named after the Canadian Football League's team in Toronto. It consists of a beef patty stuffed with cheese. You select all topics you want to your heart's content. The combo defaults to fries and a drink. You can swap out the fries for other sides, such as mac and cheese, and jalapenos poppers. This place names its burgers after familiar Toronto sports teams, streets, highways, and landmarks. For instance, there's a DVP sandwich, which is a sunny-side-up egg and beef bacon with cheese. It's named after the Don Valley Parkway, a highway that is commonly known as the Don Valley parking lot because it's so congested with cars at a standstill during rush hour. Maybe it's not the best to name an item after the DVP. I'd still get this sandwich, though. I love bacon and an egg as a sandwich and more. I scheduled my food for pickup between 4 pm and 4:30 pm. I placed my order in Stouffville. It was ready just before 4 pm. Um, okay. This place is more than punctual! It made me run ten minutes late getting down to Markham. 6ix Burgers is in a plaza that I used to frequent often perhaps over a decade ago. It is located where Burger Factory used to be. I'm a bit sad that it closed. I never dropped by and I wish that I had. The Burger Factory that I go to the most is by my workplace in Mississauga. Despite the huge mounds of snow in the parking lot, I found a parking spot fairly close to the eatery and backed into it. I then walked into the place. There were to people sitting in a booth, waiting for their food. It was a good sign. I walked up to the counter, stated my name, and said that I had an Uber Eats order. The nice woman handed me a bag with a paper bag in it. She let me know that my food was in this bag and I could help myself to a couple of drinks in the fridge. I thanked her and wished her a good day. There was Barbican bottles in the fridge. I had specified Diet Coke and felt that it works best with burgers, so I got that instead. The Diet Coke was at the bottom. It's the perfect height for toddlers, but not for me! Anyway, I grabbed my drinks and placed them in my bag of food. I drove home for a super late lunch at practically 5 pm. I was ready for grub. Let's start with the fries. Although they looked limp and needed some sort of fries ressusitation, they were good. They had the right amount of seasoning. They were slightly crispy and limp, but creamy on the inside. I normally don't dig fries, but these were so good with the salt that I ate them without the ketchup that was in the bag. The Argos burger. If you like Burger Factory, think of this burger as the Juicy Lucy. The burger has cheddar cheese stuffed in it. You take a bite and the cheese oozes out. Highly delightful, yet messy, to eat. The beef was seasoned well. I got 6ix sauce, ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and relish on my burger. I loved everything about it. The bun was soft and perfect to hold everything inside. Yum! I wish that I had added beef bacon, but this burger certainly hit the spot. All items on the menu are halal. This place was a great find. I hope to try the mac and cheese bites, or even mac and cheese as a side next time. I'm a fan. (51) read more

Got their blue jays burger (double) and the twister fries for combo. Found everything pretty tasty. Was a decent burger and could choose your own toppings. Downside it I'd pretty pricy. 14.99 for the burger and 5.99 for the fries + drink. Definitely better deals elsewhere but burger itself is pretty good. read more

lots of food contamination, we ordered and paid in cash, the cashier/cook was wearing black gloves and went and put our patties on the grill, didn't change gloves or washed them after touching raw meat. then came took the cash gave me change (few bills and a whole bunch of change) and then proceeded to continue cooking, making our food and not once washed his gloves or changed them. he clearly wasn't trained on cross contamination on touching raw meat and change, and then cooking, touching toppings, buns , utensils and so on read more

Had dinner here for the first time on Sat Nov 18th /23 at around 7pm. For my first experience I was really impressed with the taste of the food. I had the maple leaf burger with bacon and my wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. Both tasted amazing and juicy. Not to mention the gentleman working the grill and the front at the same time was very nice and friendly. Even delivered our food to our table when he had other people to serve. I was craving for a burger and having read that single 5 star review so I decided to give it a try. Early cold evening Sunday and the strip mall has plenty of parking so am not surprised that I was practically the only dine-in customer. The lady at the counter asked if it was dine-in or take-out and I said dine-in, preparing to show my vax certificate if asked. Wasn't asked so I guess, well...they trust me. No words spoken in about 7 minutes as I stood behind the glass counter waiting to be asked for my order. They appeared to be a bit busy as they are continue on with what they were doing. Finally, the girl curtly asked me again, dine-in or take out? I said dine-in the second time. She approached the register and I said I'll try your weekend special of "Raptors Burger" ($8.99). "What toppings?" "Oh, what do you have?" "Check the list". So I looked around and saw the list to my right. "Lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, onions, pickles"; "What sauce?" "Ok, I'll try your 6 Burger special sauce". "Does the special come with sides and drinks?" "No", "OK, I'll get some drinks and fries" "What?" "Drinks... pop". The repeated exchange went on for a bit longer. No effort to make you feel welcome as a customer. 15 minutes later, an Uber Driver came in and asked for his order. He was told that he has to wait for 30 minutes. "But it was almost an hour" "Ok 5 minutes". 20 minutes later I stood up and asked if my order is ready. The guy asked me "Dine-in or Take out?" "Dine in, but are you just about to prepare it?" Sensing that I could be cancelling my order, he said that "I am just wrapping it" and took about 8 minutes to finish the wrapping. What about the food? The patty was obviously from fresh ground beef, no bigger than Harveys. It tasted exactly as Harveys but just double the price. The toppings are about a third of Harveys with a McDonald-size bun. Totally unwrapped and placed on a paper placemat. The burger patty was not freshly cooked and was probably sitting there for hours. The food was totally underwhelming. The fries were a bit dark indicating the oil used to cook it had been recycled countless time over. Total bill $14.67 but I was still hungry after the meal. The customer service is quite poor and disorganized. The quality of food is so so and the hygiene is a suspect. I do not recommend this joint at all. Outside this place is small but the sign in front with the daily specials is enticing! I tried the Thursday special, the Steak Sandwich and it was the best I have ever tasted, bar none! The steak was tender and juicy and the bun just right and the gravy was so good! It had onions and melted cheese(8.99)!. I was very impressed! the following week, I tried the burger, the Friday night special and it tasted just like it was off the barbecue with a lot of nice toppings! The fries were crispy and the portions generous! Even the kid's special was more than enough for even an adult, a quarter pounder with fries and a pop for 6.99!
