Consultation was quick and friendly, and he had samples of carpet ready for us to sort through. We were able to schedule the installation on any date we wanted. On installation day last week, the team was prompt and friendly, and did an excellent job. They even carefully moved all of our furniture (beds, bookcases, crib, etc.) for the carpet installation, and moved everything back right where they found it. I didn't even GET to the carpeting because I got in a fight with a HORIBBLE salesman named Steve! He did a horrible job on the sale but I already knew what I wanted and needed because of my dog so pet friendly carpeting and padding- sale was pretty much done just because I had done the work and I told him my bed had an adjustable base and he acted like it had a jet engine attached and asked how I was going to remove the motor before the installers came... and I was like I will unplug it- to which he replied screw this and left... then apparently left something came back in my house- JUST WALKED IN NO KNOCKING AND PROCEEDED TO TELL ME TO FUCK OFF- yea- not sure what he has against adjustable bases but he doesn't even have to be one of the people that moves it and it just goes onto the ground to slide to next room- tons of people have adjustable bases on their beds but wtf?! It's not a breaking point for most people in life for something that doesn't even involve them going forward! If I could give then zero stars I would. This is a dishonest and unethical company. I own two rental properties and the first vacancy I had I needed to turn it quickly and didn't do my homework so hired them. With the second one I knew better and asked for a written quote before making my decision. They gave me a verbal quote but refused to tell me the brand of the carpet and pad, nor breakdown in cost until I put money down and signed the contract. When I told them I needed that to make my decision I got no response. THIS IS WHY: My second quote was almost half the cost and I'm very happy with the quality and install. NEVER USE 651-CARPETS. This is getting ridiculous. I bought granite countertops through 651 and the first installation date we had scheduled my wife had to take off work to be home... and they never showed up. They attributed this to "growing pains". I wasn't too worked up over it as we rescheduled two weeks out and their was no particular rush. They came and put the granite in and the sink which looked fine but they hire a 3rd party plumber to come next day to hook up the sink. Of course another "growing pain" miscommunication and we were out of water for almost a week. When the plumber did come they had TWO pieces of great news. 1. our faucet was destroyed and I needed to go buy a new one for over $200 immediately with my own money, and also since I had a separate purified water faucet it was going to cost me another $200 because that wasn't part of their service for 651-CARPETS. Fast Forward 2-MONTHS AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T PAID ME BACK. I have been in contact with them and they keep telling me "accounting has processed it" and it should come any day. That was 3 weeks ago. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with and I beg you not to use them. If you call the number to try to speak with someone its people who only are call takers offering a free quote and can't forward you to anyone helpful. Cannot get a hold of the office or a sales person. After receiving several automated confirmation and reminder emails about out appointment on Saturday, the sales person was a no call/no show. I called the number on the confirmation email which was answered by 'an answering service' the lady told me the office was closed and she couldn't pull up the schedule to check anything but that she was sure the sales person was just running late. No one every came or called. Today, Monday, I called and again the 'answering service' answered. She said she couldn't help me because she couldn't pull up the schedules or see any notes and that I would just need to keep trying that number and hopefully the office would answer since it was now between their office hours. I went with 651 Carpets because they were "home of the next day install." And I needed carpet fast due to selling my home. The tech came out and measured, we decided on a carpet, took our check and then disappeared. I texted him 6 times without a response. I left him 3 voicemails on his cell without a response. When you call the main number they tell you to call back later. I finally told the receptionist I have called over and over and she took my message. 5 days later I get a text from the tech saying he was on vacation. The next day he texts that they no longer have our carpet available but is going to "upgrade" us at no cost to a different carpet in the same color family. 1 week after cashing our check we got carpet and the color is hideous. Not even close to the same color and actually hurts your bare feet when you walk on it. read more

This company has a very poor way of communicating. We ordered carpet on February 24, 2018. Keep in mind this is a company that advertises NEXT DAY INSTALLATION. We were not in need of next day installation and were told carpet would be installed March 19, 2018. I received a call a week or so later saying that date was still looking like a go. I did not hear anything from them for the next 2 weeks. On March 18, 2018 I called to see why I had not gotten a confirmation call because the sales representative said if you didn't get a call the day before something could be wrong. Since it was Sunday all I could speak to was an in-home consultation scheduler who was not able to look anything up about my order but told me I should expect a call the next morning. We ordered about 2,000 square feet of carpet so we had to get most stuff off our upper and lower levels. So our whole house was prepped for carpet with our main level packed with furniture and stuff. The next morning I called the company and they straight up LIED to me and said they called me the previous Friday and left a message that the product was not in. I always have my phone with me and there were no missed calls or voicemails. The guy said "they must have punched in the wrong number" and then TENTATIVELY re-scheduled me for March 24th. I am able to work with delays, but when I am lied to to cover the butts of people not doing their job, that is when I have zero respect for a company. Update: the carpet did not get installed until mid April! When they delivered the carpet they ask you to verify if it is the correct product. The carpet is rolled up so the bottom is on the outside so you can barely see and feel the product. The color looked about right and I asked the installer if it was the carpet I ordered (Egyptian Sand) and he said yes. Once the carpet was installed it felt like cheap carpeting. Turns out they installed the WRONG CARPET! The company acknowledged their mistake and offered to rip up the installed stuff and put in what we ordered or knock off $1,000. At this point I was so sick of rearranging furniture and having these morons in my house that I took the price adjustment. Absolute disgrace of a company! read more

Installed within 4 days, but advertise "next day install." Installed wrong pad and took all remnants (except for one small piece), so can't help but think they tried to pull one over on us. Took 1 1/2 weeks to get the right pad put in. Company never communicates with me; I've always had to chase after them. Won't let you speak with a manager if you call and no one calls back if a message is sent. No response to emails. Also advertises $100 off if you schedule an appt online, but won't be given that unless mentioned and even then are told "but it's a process to do." Had granite countertops installed less than 1 1/2 years ago. I had a seam totally come apart because one side of the countertop dropped 1/8". I called them and finally after 2 months of calling I sent pictures of the separated seam via. Text message. They got back to be and stated that they do not warranty granite countertops because it's a natural stone and they can't do anything about it. Wow! The pictures clearly show that the seam separated and the countertop obviously was not fastened in the back and dropped down causing this separation....This is not a natural movement of natural stone. I want to know if anyone else has had issues with 651 Carpets?? You check out the 651 Carpets website and they have 155 customer reviews that are pretty much all 5 stars, but funny, there is no place to add a review to the site. If you go to the BBB site, their BBB Accreditation has been revolved. They have customer service issues along with other complaints. I simply want a call from 651 Carpets to resolve our issue of having unacceptable carpet in our bedrooms. We have made numerous calls to the company and have tried be flexible but NO ONE has called us back. After our initial consultation they made us select our carpet based on photos, rather then samples as requested because they didn't have actual samples available to send us. We selected two types of carpet, one for the family room and one for the bedrooms. They came to install the carpeting and began with the family room and everything looked good. When we came down later and saw the bedrooms didn't look gray. It actually had more of brown tint to it so it looked terrible in the bedrooms. We tried to discuss the issue, but the installers didn't speak English very well so we were told to call the office. I called the office and explained the situation and they sent someone out to review installation. When he arrived, he looked at the carpet and agreed that there was a definite color contrast in the bedrooms and they looked brown rather than gray. We showed him the photos that John had sent us and the fact that they didn't look the same. He said that the carpet that was installed was the product we ordered, but he usually won't allow people to order carpet based on photos rather than samples because of the variation in a room setting. The only time it is acceptable if they are replacing carpet in a rental. He told us that someone would be in touch with us either later that day or the next to discuss how to best resolve the issue. No one called. I called him back again and he apologized and said that someone would get in touch with us soon. No one has called back. I have called the office numerous times, with no response what so ever. It's been 2 + weeks without a response. We are willing to work with them to come up with a solution, but it's unacceptable that we haven't received a call at all. We gave 651 Carpets the benefit of the doubt, when we had an issue, but that seems to be a big mistake. Brett Cournoyer, the owner needs to hear how his customers are being treated and get things turned around. There are many similar complaints pertaining to their service so something has to be corrected. At this point, I wouldn't recommend 651 Carpets for any type of service. We were told we would get a call from Scheduler the same week as we committed to buying floors but never heard anything. Followed up to find out they had my wrong number, even though it was correct on all forms. Then told due to size of job it would be all done in one day but start early. To find out day of, the installers weren't to come out until afternoon. The installation team did a bad job! Left a small hole in wall when they put baseboard back, small gap between garage door and hallway, a closet door now won't close and other small things. They were rushed since they still at house by 6pm. Told they would leave us pieces so we could replace if needed but didn't leave any. None of the heavy furniture was returned as promised by the sales rep who gave us quote. read more

I have been calling for days on end, leaving voicemails and having the people on the other end say I'll get a call back. I haven't heard anything for a week and I've called every day. I am definitely now 100% frustrated with this company. We paid way too much money for what was done, our installers were late, they didn't install any metals (we have wood floor & the carpet) even though our paperwork very clearly says we needed it. This company has horrible customer service. If your check clears, they don't care at all about the job they did or if you're happy or not. Will never use 651 carpets again. Would never recommend them. Very disappointed in their management. Very poor communication. We ordered high quality carpet and they installed what they had in stock. Wrong color and lower quality! Special order carpet took a month to arrive and the day before install they called and said the wrong carpet came in. When you install carpet the whole house is in turmoil because all the furniture has to be moved, you can't wait 10 days to reorder new carpet. It was 13 days before Christmas. Someone should loose their job if that's the kind of quality control they have on special order carpet. We got a $600 discount when we ordered the carpet (a special deal if we sign today) but when we complained about the problem all they would give us is $438 off. I'm not satisfied and I'm so mad at them, I have told at least 20 people. I will continue to let people know what I think of their business practices. If I could leave a zero star I would. My boyfriend and I had vinyl flooring for the basement and a vinyl sheet for our basement bathroom installed. The sales guy offered us product options and said if they don't have anything in stock they would let us know. We agreed that if it wasn't in stocks they could come at a later date. The flooring installation was terrible no actual proof with photos sent one photo of an area we said was fine. The company then says it's our sub flooring that's an issue. Don't say you can fix the flooring to level if you can't. Then they can't do anything they promised in the bathroom. Instead of saying they are out of stock they install a completely different color and product thinking we wouldn't notice. They send a check for 202 dollars for the bathroom out of a job over 4000 dollars I find it hard to believe that the bathroom was 202 dollars. We didn't agree to the check sent haven't cashed it. My boyfriend posts here and the company says he agreed to that. Another lie he did not. Yes it took him time to post after several emails being unanswered and being ignored by them. Who at the bbb is on there payroll that all these complaints meet expectations for the companies response. Just a horrible company. Our salesman was great- Matthew. He made all this happen for us. We had to call the office multiple times. We just wanted an update on which day they would be here bit it was like pulling teeth. We weren't contacted. When we did contact the office they said we didnt have an account set with them. Even after they cashed our check for $2300+. They weren't responsive until we started to make a big deal about it. The installers came and did a wonderful job. Some scuffs on the trim but it looks great. Ill give this comp 3 stars. I'll say, the initial consultation, flooring options, and services were well done. But once our carpet was installed and our check cleared, that initial customer service disappeared just like our money. The carpet we picked had a textured pattern. The seams look horrible. Our stairs were bubbled and not fully stretched. We called and were put in a "queue" for response. After the initial installers, an "inspector" came. Yep, someone needed to come back to re-stretch the stairs and try to address a huge bubble that runs right thru our main bedroom. 651-Carpets cut us a check for one of the seams saying, "that is as good as it gets." The "stretcher" comes. Fixes the stairs but tells us our main bedroom isn't fixable. Back comes the "inspector." Same guy as before and who finally acknowledged it needs to be completely torn out and replaced. A few weeks go by and the installers arrived this morning. The "installer" tells us, nope, can't fix it. This type of carpet will always show that huge bubble running down the middle of your floor. I could move it to a wall if you want. $5,000 plus dollars on carpet and the best we can get is a huge bubble closer to the wall. It's super visible and happens to be placed perfectly in the doorway, so the first thing you see when you walk into the room. My husband called the main line and was told, eh, not our issue, you signed off on this when you signed the contract to buy the carpet. I guess 651 Carpets believes we knew it would be impossible for their installers to seam or install their supplied carpet without obvious imperfections that's our issue. I was going to write this review previously, but I waited to give you all an opportunity to reinstall the carpet. All of the previous reviews with similar post-install issues have disappeared. These are the biggest crooks on the planet!!!! I had a guy come out and give me a quote as I was finishing my basement in a brand new house. Of course I wanted it to match the rest of the houses' carpet. The salesman tried to charge me 5K (he was slick and wrote it for 4996 lol) for some cheap carpet that was a bad match. I ended up contacting the builder and I found out that Hammernicks in New Hope were the original installers. I was able to get the EXACT same matching carpet, with a high quality install, for under 3K. Hmmmmm, why was 651-Carpet so much more? Well, I just saw a commercial from them on the Fox9 morning news and of course they talk about how they pride themselves on customer service and blah blah blah, and how they have a state of the art measuring system lol. What a crock of ****!!!!!! The guy at my place used a regular old Tape measure and smelled like he'd just smoked marijuana!!!! This company is horrible!!!! Nothing but smoke and mirrors!!!!! Steffany S. 09/04/2019 I called this company cause were in the middle of a kitchen and living room remodel because I'm expecting and due in December. We wanted a company that would be able to install our new flooring within a couple weeks. We met with a sales rep named Keith and we picked out our flooring. We wrote them a check for $1500 and were told the scheduling department would call on Monday with if the flooring was in stock and set up a time for install. We were told we would have 3 days to cancel. Didn't hear from anyone on Monday like I was told and Keith called me Monday evening( after I had to reach out to them) to then tell me I'd hear from them on Tuesday cause the warehouse wasn't open. Get a call on Tuesday from the scheduling department and we set up install for the following Friday. I'm fine with that cause its within the time window I was looking for and have my husband take off work. I call them the Wednesday before to confirm my apt for the install on Friday and I was told everything was good to go and to expect them between 8am and 10am on Friday. Wednesday night we spent time cleaning up the construction zone and moving furniture getting things ready for the install. They call me Thursday afternoon ( less then 24 hours before my apt ) to say my flooring didn't come in and is on back order! At that time they tried offering me another flooring option but it wasn't what we were looking for cause it wasn't nearly as dark as the flooring we had ordered. I told them I would like to cancel because we don't wanna wait another 2+ weeks for flooring and told them that if I would of known in advance I wouldn't of scheduled with them. They REFUSED to give me my deposit back even though they were the ones who fell through on there end. I talked to multiple people trying to resolve this but everyone continued to say they have a strict 3 day cancellation policy even though they were the ones who weren't living up to their word and they kept telling me it's not their fault there that its the manufacturers fault. So here I am upset and stuck with this company having to wait for flooring that I don't know when will be installed. I was then told someone would call me first thing Tuesday morning to let me know when the flooring will be in. Tuesday comes and of course no one calls me. So midafternoon I call them and leave a message and still no one calls me. I call them Wednesday and have to leave a message with the front desk to have them call me back. They call me back and say they didn't call me back Tuesday cause the guy in the warehouse wasn't in ( they should of called me Tuesday and just let me know that so I'm not waiting around for a call ) I'm told it will be another 2 weeks till the flooring gets in so I'm set up for install on Sept 23rd. So now here we are waiting 5 weeks for flooring rather than the 2 weeks I was told and yet my deposit is being held hostage and I'm told I can't cancel or I forfit my deposit. And after putting up a fight that I at least deserve a discount all there offering is $100 off. That's less than a 5% discount. I'm so upset and beyond frustrated with how terrible this experience has gone and would advise everyone to stay far away from this company and DO NOT do buisness with them. read more

I removed my sink and counter tops ready for my install. I spent an entire day trying to talk to someone. Took 6 hours to return my call. I was told the granite I selected was out of stock. We ordered our carpet on 11/20/2019 from Will. The consultation was professional, Will ran the numbers a couple of different ways and we worked the best deal available. During the consultation we were told 7-10 days to get the carpet and were promised that the carpet would be installed before Christmas. We received a call a week later, 11/27/2019 from Aussie stating our carpet was ordered and expect to install it in 2 weeks. That call, a week after I paid in full for the carpet, was the last unprompted call I received from this company. After the 2 weeks passed and we weren't scheduled I called to check the status and was told Aussie would call me back. I didn't get a call back so I called my consultant Will who also didn't call me back. When I finally got a hold of Aussie I was told the carpet wasn't in and that they didn't have a get well date. I was also told he'd let their customer service manager, Amanda, know and she'd be in contact with me. That message along with multiple calls and voicemails left directly for Amanda were never returned. As of writing I still haven't received a call from their customer service manager. The carpet was installed on 12/27/2019, over 5 weeks after I ordered the carpet. The installers were professional but they cut up a big piece of carpet I'd asked that they save. The lead installer, Pablo, promised that he had a remnant that he'd replace that piece with and that he'd swing by the next week. He never came. I sent him a message, and as is the theme with this company, it hasn't been returned. I understand that issues arise with suppliers and that promises made during sales calls are sometimes broken. What I don't understand is the incredibly poor customer service. The fact that their customer service manager wouldn't take my call and never returned my call is evidence enough for me that this is a normal practice for them. Through every step of this process promises were made and when called about them the company won't return my call. read more

We got carpet installed last week at our new home. We didn't have a chance to look at it until late Friday when I realized that the padding was not very good. When I called it was right before close so I left a message and Amanda was supposed to call me on Monday. Over the weekend we discovered that their installers left staples poking out of the carpet and they drank our soda. It's now Tuesday and I still haven't received a call. Very poor! read more

We hired 651 Carpets to redo flooring in our home last fall. We wanted both new carpet and vinyl planks. We met with the salesman on September 27th who was very nice, he mapped out our house, reviewed products, gave us a quote and we signed the paperwork. A couple days before we were supposed to have our floors installed (October 12th) they called us to tell us that not enough flooring was sent. They had only ordered 96 square feet instead of 960 square feet and the job had to be delayed for more flooring to arrive. When the installers finally came (October 31st) to take out our old flooring they noticed they didn't have enough LVP to complete the job. They told me the bid had omitted our entire living room which I didn't understand because the drawing the salesman did in our home included our living room and the first room the installers removed carpet in was our living room. After several phone calls I was finally able to speak with Amanda. She was understanding and empathetic and told me she would take care of it. They decided they would not charge us extra for the additional flooring as it appeared to be an error on their end and we waited a couple more weeks for the flooring to arrive in the warehouse. November 18th we were set to have the remainder of our flooring finished. The installers called and said again the wrong quantity had been ordered and they only had half of what they needed. They came and installed what materials they had. At this point we were pretty frustrated. I had to constantly call the sales office and was getting fewer calls back. I decided to drive up to their warehouse on my day off work (which really seemed to surprise everyone that worked there) since I couldn't get a call back from anyone. I wanted to see with my own eyes the square footage of materials they ordered because I didn't trust they would order the right amount. I asked if they could pay to overnight ship my floors to get this project finished and they told me they could not. I met with Amanda and the scheduler who offered to refund us some money for all of the issues we had encountered. Our floors were finally completely installed November 27th (6 weeks after the estimated completion date) because of 3 errors with ordering the wrong number of materials. After the project was completed Amanda told me it would take about 4 weeks to get a check from their accounting department as it's in a separate building. I never received a check or a phone call from them since. Our installers were fabulous, the quality of the materials we selected were fantastic but the rest of the experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth. This was a pretty big project and we didn't feel like we were a priority to them. I felt like I had to basically harass them to elicit any response. I do not recommend using this company for all of the above reasons. They do not possess the professionalism I was looking for with this home renovation project. read more

I'll give it a 3, because it did look nice when finished, but with the disclaimer that I am very unlikely to go with them again. We just got granite installed. Be warned, they install 2cm granite in kitchens rather than 3cm (which wasn't communicated and I was expecting 3cm). My biggest issue was that there was terrible communication with the granite manager (who we worked with). His phone's voicemail was always full and never returned calls. There was a mixup with our payment (wanted to pay some up front and the rest financed), but that didn't happen because he ignored me so now we're just financing all of it. I never got anything written about what I was being charged for despite calling multiple times. It was just a really frustrating experience overall. I will say the install guys did a nice job. They were on time, and it looked nice when finished. I also finally heard back from someone who gave me the bill and a cost adjustment because of a billing issue I wasn't able to argue with the other guy. While I did appreciate that, I'm not sure I'd use them again. read more

DO NOT USE 651- CARPETS! If you do decide to go with 651-carpet (Which I strongly suggest you don't) and your tile butts up to your carpet make sure you are there at the time of installation. My 2 year old daughter cut her foot on the edge of the tile due to the carpet not being installed properly. The installer did not use cedar shakes to ramp up the carpet and tuck it along the tile witch expose the sharp edge of the tile. I called multiple times to try to talk with the owner since the quality control guy told me that my carpet was installed to standard and if it was his house he would leave it the way it was. I have yet to hear from this company and I had to have Carpet Plus fix 651-Carpets mistake for $200 on top of what I already payed 651-Carpets. This company is a joke and I would NEVER use them again! read more

I am absolutely stunned to say the least. The sales rep called to see if he could stop by earlier then the scheduled time, I said I would not be home till 1:00 as scheduled. He asked if both my wife and I planned on being home...I said no just me. He said they typically won't come out unless both spouses are home to make a decision. I explained we are not getting the work done until mid October and just wanted an estimate at this time. Sales rep said we would need to reschedule as they don't leave an estimate or samples and both spouses need to be at the appointment. I tried one more time to explain that no decisions will be made today and he said ok we need to reschedule. Wowza talk about hi pressure sales. No proper communication from office to field. I own a construction company, and I had to use this company for a replacement to match existing. Absolute worst. Oh and they didn't have the correct pad or size of the carpet so they had to put 7 seams in one room! And didn't replace all of the originally requested... most likely due to the quick measure and zero verification. read more

I order carpeting in November under the ruse of "next day installation". The "next day" turned out to be in January, and the installation turned out to be horrible. I am finding hand fulls of carpeting in my air ducts because they didn't edge the carpeting around them. That means they will continue to unravel. My doors and walls rattle when I walk by - Ozzy calls it structural damage - and even though it wasn't there before the install, he still doesn't have the guts to stand up with integrity and make it right or do anything about it. I found staples on my stair case that had come loose and every day I am finding strands of the carpeting that have come loose from the edges of the pieces they put on the stair case. Read the Better Business Bureau's website. This kind of unfortunate cowardice is a way of business for them. Crappy workmanship, calls not returned and just overall miserable people. Their so called installation warranty is a load of crap, too. There is a long horizontal crack in one of my baseboards, and while they are not taking any responsibility for it, they are offering a $100 refund for it. It's their standard thing to offer $100. Absolutely the WORST home improvement experience we've ever had! We don't have a ton of money to throw around with two young kids, but desperately needed new carpet in our living room and decided to take the plunge with 651Carpets since they were all over the radio and local TV. All I can say is RUN! RUN FAR AWAY! The rep quickly came to our house to give us a quote and set up financing, but that's where the great service stopped and the nightmare began. We waited over a month for the installation and we had to call THEM to finally get it scheduled. There was ZERO communication on their end and it makes me wonder if they ever would have called us considering how things unfolded. There installers were nine hours late to install based on the original scheduling time. Not only that, they came with frozen carpet! They only we're able to do part of the job and needed to install the next day - the Sunday we were having our daughter baptized! This pretty much left us with no choice but to leave strangers in our home while we were gone to church. At first we thought the carpet was what we had ordered, but became concerned when it was rolled out and it looked gray rather than cream and wasn't nearly as plush as the sample they initially showed us! We tried calling the next business day (of course they aren't open on the weekends), but were put on hold each time for 30+minutes or calls went straight to an answering service that asked if we wanted to schedule a quote. And this was during business hours!!!! At one point I was on hold at the same time my husband. I gave up after being on hold for 20 minutes. My husband waited 40+ minutes on hold until the call disconnected! We were absolutely scammed! It's been almost three weeks and we still haven't heard from anyone despite having sent emails, texts to our rep and left messages with the answering service. I feel totally taken advantage of and very much dislike the carpet we spent nearly $2000 on! Let's just say 651Carpets will not be getting our business again and we will definitely be spreading the word about our experience. Based on online reviews, it seems like people either have had a horrible or great experience with them. My guess: the five star ratings are fake and only there to offset all the truly disappointed customers!!! ****Edited to clarify that the order was under my husband's name and has been communicated to responding manager. Do NOT use 651 Carpet Company! I am very frustrating and disappointed! We had them come and installed the carpet for the house when we first moved in 3 years ago And now the edges are falling apart, the hair of the carpet is coming out! And I kept finding edges in the middle of the room and hallway! What the heck- it just completely fell apart and about to be ripped off! It is only three years old for goodness sake? Carpet should last long time right? Not only that but their customer service SUCKS!!!! I have called and called for months to have them come to look at it because we paid for 20 years warranty. And nope they didn't call us back. So My husband tried to call but it kept playing tag with several of different people! So frustrating! I am planning to go in person and talk to someone. I don't like to write negative reviews but this got my blood boiling based on their poor job and especially poor customer service! read more

Some background: We just purchased a new home as a first-time home buyer. The home was built in the 40's, so the basement has old asbestos tile flooring. It's ugly (and obviously is a risky, hazardous material), so we were planning on putting vinyl plank flooring directly over it to cover it up. No hazmat suits or teams required as we wouldn't be tearing it out or disturbing the tile. The poor customer service experience: Since 651 Carpets didn't have a store we could go in to look at samples, we didn't even know what products they had to offer. This was our first time seeing them, so we weren't ready to commit - just wanted to see what they had and get an estimate. We still needed to see what a few more companies had to offer, it just so happened that 651 Carpets was first on our list. When Robert showed up and went downstairs to take measurements, he immediately noted the old tile and went on a 3-minute spiel about how the tile is leaking toxins into my home and we are breathing it in as we speak and being killed. Some real wackjob "THE END IS NIGH" stuff you'd expect to hear from some weirdo shouting from a street corner with a shoddy cardboard sign. We then returned to the first floor to review the samples he brought, he asked us how much we thought it would cost to have done. Being first-time home buyers who have never been in a situation to upgrade rooms, we didn't really have any idea. Robert was very condescending towards us when we guessed wrong. He then went on a lively rant and started swearing at us, saying how XYZ companies are, I quote, "complete shit who use shit materials and do a shit job installing them" and how "any asshole can work for home depot." I'm not sure why he didn't think it highly unprofessional to start swearing at a client within 10 minutes of meeting them. He made it very clear that any asshole can work for 651 Carpet. When we picked out the flooring we liked, he refused to give us an estimate. He said that he wouldn't give us one because then we would go to their competitors who would see his estimate and undercut him by $40 and how he would lose our business. Not sure if this is because we guessed wrong and then he assumed we didn't have the money to have the work done or what, but I have NEVER heard of a company denying you an estimate when they whole purpose of the appointment was to get an estimate. He verbally gave us a vague ballpark figure, and when I mentioned the advertisement we had seen to get $500 off, he told us that was only for jobs costing $5,000 or more and the best he could do was give us 10% off. What kind of company doesn't even honor the deals they are advertising? Towards the end of the meeting, we said that we weren't ready to make a decision yet and still had other companies to look at. As a last-ditch effort to get us to sign with him, Robert said "Yeah well, this first estimate was free. If you want us to come back out it's gonna cost you at least 50 bucks!" Cool, dude. Red flag #1: I saw their ad in Dollars & Sense, a seemingly scammy catalog of advertisements. Red flag #2: They don't have an actual store that you can stop in to look at samples. It all has to be done by appointment. Red flag #3: Using profanity at clients you just met. So much for professionalism and building business relationships. Red flag #4: They refused to give me an estimate when the whole purpose of the appointment was to obtain an estimate. Red flag #5: Won't honor their advertised specials. In conclusion: Save yourself the trouble and get estimates from anyone but this company. read more

DO NOT USE 651 CARPETS... Initial appointment was to be at Noon for consultation, sales rep showed up at 2:45. Was friendly but offered no options for pad selection, "I would like the one it came with". Then installers used half new pad and 1/2 old used pad from some other home. Called 651 Carpets to explain frustration, they told me they would call me back and never did. After a week and 3 voicemails left to them I called and finally spoke to someone. Said there was nothing they could do and tough luck basically. Looking into getting a refund through my bank and will comment on this company anywhere public I can find. Jokes on them.... 2 more rooms to carpet and will surely be using a different company in the future read more

I would never go with 651 carpets again. We had flooring and carpet installed. I called the customer service line as after less than 3 months are new flooring was scratching constantly. They sold us the flooring stating it was the most durable for animals and kids. It is awful. I called them multiple times to see if they would come and replace and never received any call back. Terrible customer service and terrible quality. Don't waste your money. read more
