Where to start.... Shortly after installation, the flooring began peeling and lifting in multiple areas. This is extremely concerning, as new flooring should not show signs of failure so quickly. The quality of workmanship does not meet reasonable professional standards, and the materials used appear to be subpar. In addition to the poor installation quality, I have been disappointed with the lack of responsiveness (Aaron the mananger) and professionalism (Stephanie) from your customer service team. My attempts to resolve this matter have been met with delays, limited communication, and no clear plan to correct the issues. As a customer, I expected accountability and timely support, especially for work that is clearly defective. They are quick to reply when selling you flooring. Now that there are issues, they ghost you. Consider other options than this company. read more

Where do we start?? The employees that came out did not speak English how the hell is a person supposed to communicate. They broke our bathroom tiles while replacing out hall flooring. The customer service gal accused my husband of lying which pissed him off thank the Lord we took pictures. The crew that layed the vinyl floors took them out of their work van which we had just had a snow storm and was cold these vinyl planks were supposed to be room temperature for 24 to 48 hours this was not done. The glued planks in the next week started buckling up. They sent a worker out to replace those boards. And they gave us 375.00 check for the broken tiles in the bathroom entryway. The shit we went thru for the 20.000.00 we paid to replace our flooring was not worth it. The gal in the office was rude . Do not use this company they are nice up to the point of getting your business after that it's a fight. This company was supposed to do a walk thru and never did . They should have sent a representative some one we could communicate with to hear our complaints but sent the people that did the work that couldn't communicate. Do not use this company they don't stand behind their work still having issues this company is very hard to deal with. read more

I scheduled a consultation with 651 Carpets for flooring and carpet. Initially, I thought the sales rep did a great job explaining things. That same day, I had simple follow-up questions--like matching the flooring I saw--but the next day, after receiving another quote, I learned more about patterned carpet: patterns require seams and waste, and layout (vertical or horizontal) affects cost. I hadn't been told this by 651. I followed up with them to confirm. The sales rep did not respond the next day. I had to call customer service to prompt him. When he did respond, he admitted patterns cause waste but said 651 "eats" that cost, charging the same. However, I pointed out that their pattern square footage matched another installer's pattern quote, while non-pattern square footage from others was about 100 square feet less. I asked if they charge pattern and non-pattern the same, meaning non-pattern customers are overcharged. The rep said no, they charge for non-pattern. When I pointed out the discrepancy, he suggested I go with someone else--which shocked me. I then called customer service, asking for a manager callback to confirm if they truly understand seams and if they charge pattern and non-pattern equally. It's been 48 hours--no manager called back. Seeing similar reviews, I realized 651's service is poor and not transparent. If they push pattern, the square footage increases, but they're not upfront. I'm glad I went elsewhere. They are poorly rated, and I recommend comparing every quote carefully to spot issues. I felt they weren't acting in good faith, and I had to share this experience. They ended up being about $1000 lower than other quotes, however lowest cost does not make up for the service failures around communication. Sq footage is sq footage and it is clear that the sq footage used matched what square footage I got from other installers...:cost aside, that equates to no waste bc sq footage for non pattern should differ so we are comparing apples to apples. I will pay for service and transparency any day over misleading information and somewhat gaslighting behavior. read more

Update: The owner of 651 called me directly, he was very apologetic, he offered to come replace the floor. They were fighting with the manufacturer to deem the floor defective, the manufacturer wasn't responsive. But, he said they (651) would replace the entire floor at no cost to me, and they will take up the fight with the manufacturer moving forward. It was a rough beginning, but the floor has been replaced and it looks great! Terrible customer service. They sold me LVP flooring based on a 4 inch square sample. Our installation was postponed due to defective flooring. Then, upon installation we see all these marks, lines and repeating patterns on the planks. When we raised concerns they initially said it was defective. Then, they changed their tune and said it was "high character" flooring and those marks were supposed to be there. We requested someone come take a look... they scheduled an assessment. The guy didn't bother to show up, he said one the phone it wasn't defective. I called and spoke to a manager. He said he would come back with the assessor to review it. The assessor came back but the manager did not. They reccomended sending it back to the manufacturer and washed their hands of any responsibility. The manufacturer approved a small refund. When I fought the decision the had the nerve to tell me it was my responsibility to research the product we chose. So, they're essentially telling me I can't trust them or the samples they're selling product with. They're a complete joke. Do not use them for any project. read more

We purchased from 651Carpets in November of 2020. We bought new carpeting for our main living area, hall and main level office. Fast forward to 2023, the pad underneath the carpet is all coming up, there are rolls all over the carpet and the edges of the carpet are all fraying. I called 651 to come and fix the carpet and they said the installation is not guaranteed and it would cost a minimum of $500. I would have to pay for all repairs, minimum $500, and we have to move all the furniture ourselves. They said repairs are not guaranteed. What?! We will be paying someone else to rip everything out and redo our carpet making sure that installation is guaranteed!! This is not our first time using 651 Carpets Plus and it will not be our last. We had a small bedroom that needed new carpet and could not be happier with the end result. They have installed new floors throughout our home and granite countertops. Every time we are more than happy with the quality of the work and price. So easy. The worst carpet company ever!!! Sure they have good deals but our salesman John v was the absolute worst. Told us to put a lower pile carpet in our hallway and a thicker carpet in our bedrooms off the hallway and he never mentioned to is that there was going to be a carpet line in every bedroom doorway. Next the installers literally ruined every baseboard in our house. We had 5 bedrooms done with our hallway and stairs. Every room is damaged, and our stairs have markings all over them. Not to mentioned we just painted every room in the house. Please do not consider this company what do ever. Our claims are in review right now, but from the other reviews on here, it doesn't seem like we will get anything for our house being destroyed. read more

(June 28, 2022) STOP!! NEVER use 651 Carpets!!! We had a horrible experience and was told inconsistent information about how to prepare for the carpet install. The work crew came in our home and immediately left claiming we were not prepared. Then the person who sold us the carpet came to our home and did not understand why the install crew left. We were forced to reschedule the carpet install. When the carpet was finally installe, the two-man crew was NOT careful and put several scuff marks in all 6 rooms, causing us to repaint the walls. I called and spoke with the manager: she claims all of my frustrations with the all-around awful customer service "is in the contract" so she refused to do anything. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND 651 Carpets. Spend your money elsewhere! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY with 651 Carpets!! AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I gave this rating "1 star" only because it's a mandatory field. I didn't even want to give them 1 star. They're that extraordinarily awful. I cannot even begin to describe how Terrible this company is. How it is still in existence is BEYOND me. I'm currently seeking legal counsel for the HORRENDOUS "services" I've now had to pay someone else to fix and am still being expected to pay them. First of all, should've known something was up with the salesman. I figured, he's selling me these products he should know them. Well I was completely WRONG. Not only did he NOT tell me how the flooring I currently had in my kitchen area would not even be CLOSE to be level he also sold me TERRIBLE flooring. I kid you not, my dogs nails have scratched it just. By. Walking. On. Them. I told them NOT to rip up any original hardwoods flooring, they did so anyway. There was NO clean up what so ever. They did not bolt down my railing and did not even leave the screws I GAVE TO THEM WHEN they arrived. Little do they know I speak fluently in Spanish and the conversations that were had about my significant other and myself while they were in my home, was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. All of that said and done, they never even finished the TERRIBLE job. Even AFTER I called to throughly complain. Instead of admitting they had lead me astray, the "head sales rep" Ryan was Terribly rude and said I didn't know anything about flooring If I had what I had in mind. Said the whole flooring would have to be redone at my expense of course. Even when I asked during the consultation if there would be a problem and I was assured over and over again it would not be problem (quite literally have broken my toes on this "total lack of problem". Stated there "could possibly be a quick fix" of course I would have to pay for it. He asked for measurements and I have never heard a thing back. I filed a complaint with the financing company, 651 then lied stating they had tried to get ahold of me "several times" when it was I who has been ignored since August. Don't listen to the "no interest" either. They had the wrong address on file and stating because I "missed a payment" I no longer would receive the no interest for a year, again even though it was their mistake. WORST COMPANY EVER! I don't know how they're in business. Do yourself a favor and go with zerorez, I wish I would have. They did my other level and I was extremely satisfied and had no issues with them. The people who did the install were INCREDIBLE. They were great. 651 however...not so much. I decided I'd like to also get a walk in closet carpeted along with work on my foyer landing. I was basically told the job was too small, they wouldn't do it. I called in again trying to work it out with the company...they never got back to me after saying they would. Nice...huh?!! Salesman good, installers good, but immediately notice carpet pulling out after vacuuming multiple times we called them. They will not come out and look. Whats the point of a warranty if it cant be used? Its been around 3 years of going back and forth with them, now they wont even call back. I had a great floor installed, after a year it is separating only in a single spot that needs to be fixed. My 1 year warranty is up and after spending 10k on this floor they would not even send someone out to look at it and simply connect the flooring but directed me to the manufacturer to fix and installation issue. Got initial quote; when I called to schedule their priced had went up over $500 because they ran out of the selected color and didn't have any other carpet that was on sale- so I got the same quality carpet but for a higher price; I should have found a new company at that point but I continued. We had them install and the subs broke 2 doors while installing it. My husband went to the flip house to check progress- the installers didn't mention they had broke the top hinges off of the upstairs doors and they were both dangling, nor did they mention that they took a poop in the new toilet which was just installed and didn't even have water in the tank or toilet yet!!!!!!! BUT- they did pass along their own personal business cards so they could cut 651 carpets out of the loop. Since this review is about 651 Carpets let's bring it back to how they handled this situation- did they hadel it like true professionals and making the situation right?? **of course not- they took no fault for the doors and just apologized for the mess in the toilet. long story short- I don't know who to call for carpet install but I can tell you who NOT to call- 651 carpets ; they will change their prices and not correct wrongs or take any responsibility for damaging your home. read more

I purchased flooring and granite countertops through 651 carpets. Initially the sales person told me that I had to make the decision that date for the price that I wanted because they were running out of product. I couldn't make a decision that day, but when I made the decision A few days later, The price has not changed. For a company that boosts next day install, let me say that the check cashed on 6/23. The granite countertops were not installed until July 2. Furthermore, when they hired the plumber to reinstall the sink, I had to hurry to Lowe's to get a part that I missing for the garbage disposal or risk being charged an extra hour of labor. However, the biggest issue has been the install of the laminate floor. Again the check was cashed on 6/23. My initial plan was to sell my house and have it up and ready for sale by July 8 at the latest. It is now July 15 and despite multiple phone calls requesting a cancellation and a refund of the flooring portion, I have yet to hear back from the company. This is terrible customer service, and if I am going to invest $7000 of my money into a company, I expect better. read more

2 rooms & Entryway = luxury vinyl Stairs carpeted 3 points of contact - all great. The main office is very helpful and friendly and sent John V to our home to provide an estimate. He was awesome! Can't say enough great things about the installation crew - 2 people - prompt, kind, courteous and if it weren't for the installation noises you would have had no idea they were here. They took extra time to make sure that the transitions between the hardwood and vinyl floors were professional looking even though there was about a 2 inch drop. They even walked softly. read more

Sales was very "corporate". Person was nice, but clearly in it to close a deal fast. Rushed, pushy, overpriced, not in my best interest. Selection of carpet was very poor, or more trouble than he had time to deal with. Initial quote was reduced as if they hoped to get the highest price. Square feet of the room was estimated far over what I know is the actual. Then "waste" carpet was reduced by changing a setting in the software. Sketchy! Install scheduling was absolutely not in my best interest and very poorly done. 100% at the convenience of the company. Spoke to a person that I would fire if I owned the company. Straight up lied to me. I assume she was following policy to cram in installs regardless of customer needs. Worst part of the engagement by far. Quality of work was good, not great. Speed and exit was prioritized over my needs and quality. Installers were on time, and very efficient. Again, I didn't pay for efficiency. I paid for quality. I didn't receive it despite their obvious skill and ability. 10 more minutes spent would have made a much better job. Floor wasn't prepped properly, cleanup was non existent. read more

I wanted this to be a good experience, but it just wasn't. I picked out my carpet and got the install scheduled for a week later, they came and started ripping out my old stuff and then brought me to the back of the truck to check the carpet quick before they brought it in; I was then told that this shitty brown speckle carpet was the color I paid for, I am a single woman alone in my home being told that "the warehouse is never wrong, and this is your carpet" and that this carpet is the color "porcelain" that I had picked out. I pulled up an image I took of the swatch i had picked out and the color name, but that did not matter because none of the material in the truck was labelled. The installers then got on the phone and made me feel crazy, I am glad I stood my ground and did not let them install the wrong carpet, even tho it was the most awkward situation and I was almost in tears. After a good 20minutes they came back to me and said that I was right. Correct carpet was installed and on their way out they left me the large leftover pieces of carpet which I had asked for, but then they told me that it costs them money to throw away the scraps and then left them in a plastic bag on my front lawn. I contacted customer service about the whole situation and it made me feel hopeful because the woman was so nice, but then she was supposed to call me back twice and never did so: I am very unhappy with this company and very bummed out that I did not go with someone else. We set up install of both granite countertops and new carpet. The granite install went well and the 2 guys on the job were knowledgeable and clean. Used mats to protect my floor and kitchen appliances. HOWEVER, they installed a bad piece of granite that they knew was bad and I did not catch the defect until the sun was on it later. It is clear that their hand slipped while they were scoring it and they didnt even try and polish it out. Just hoped I would not notice. (See picture) they also rushed through the silicone process and left gaps. (See 2nd picture). Customer service is non existent. They never answer the phone, always have an excuse on why they're not answering. And if no one is available the operator tells you to just keep calling. 30+ calls and counting. This is pathetic. BBB isnt doing their job if these guys are certified by it. This should be a crime. Amanda finally called and left her "personal" number that she never answers. Not expecting to hear back now that we paid in full. She commented below that I was "satisfied" and that is BS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Hands down the absolute worst company I have ever worked with. One of their employees came out to measure the property for carpeting and he arrived an hour and a half late. He brought with approximately 20 different carpet samples and then informed us that for their next day carpet installation as promised by their website you can only choose from 4 colors they keep in stock. So we chose one of those carpets then the morning of installation the installers were supposed to be there by 9am and we get a text from one of them at 10am stating they are out of the carpet we ordered and are coming with a different one and will text us a picture of what they're planning on installing - keep in mind we've painted the entire house based on the carpet we picked originally. We told them not to come because we don't want some random carpet that we don't even know the color of. We called the manager Amanda who was helpful AT FIRST and managed to get us an upgraded in stock carpet and installation for the next day scheduled tentatively for noon and she promised to send a picture of the carpet they were going to be installing next to what we originally ordered and to confirm a time for the next day installation but then I never heard from her again. The next day installers showed up at 10am 2 hours early with carpet we've never even seen or approved and demanded to be paid right away. Needless to say this company is a joke run by unprofessional people with no follow through.... Lastly all of this while my client lives with all his furniture moved into non carpeted rooms! read more

Here are the facts: Carpet was installed on a Friday - looked great, my husband had to take off work to let crew in and out. Monday the vinyl was installed. My husband took off work to let crew in. He checked on crew during his lunch break to see how the progress was. For some reason the door from our house to garage was open - strange. Monday when my husband went to see the crew out there were nails everywhere, our upstairs toilet had not been put back yet, a transition piece was not put back (my husband had to ask them to put it back), caulking was poorly done and there was a HOLE in our new carpet. My husband called to discuss issues with 651 Carpets and they did not consistently get back. By Wednesday we finally got a hold of someone who scheduled the plumber for Thursday to put in our toilet. Plumber did not show - my husband canceled plans that evening to let the plumber in - plumber reported he was not told to be there at time we were given. Now it's Friday and my husband is canceling evening plans again for the plumber to PUT OUR MAIN LEVEL TOILET BACK. We are told that Saturday everything else will get picked...we have little faith people will actually show. We have tried calling again to explain frustration about plumber not showing up as well as confirm Saturday fixes...no one will call back but someone on their team continues to delete my Facebook posts. This is so frustrating. We have an 8 week old and a 3 year old - no main level toilet, we keep picking up nails and we have a hole in NEW carpet. And we still don't know why workers were in our garage. There are tons of poor reviews for this company and we were really banking on the good reviews. This has been incredibly frustrating. We understand companies get busy and you can't control what poor employees too but the lack of communication is the worst of it. We are understanding people. We just want a toilet, for the carpet not to be torn up, not to worry our 3 year old will step on a nail and for the job we paid for. read more

Do not trust this company and especially Ozzy the salesperson, once you sign the contract he stops replying! This company is full of lies and just want your money with no customer service. Ozzy our salesman stopped answering my calls and responding to text messages after their install crew left all of the carpet and materials in my driveway! When I called the next day when I realized it was all in the driveway the company said it had snow on it by the end of the day so they couldn't take it! The office lady basically said to bad and then ironically told me to have a nice day, which will be me and my fiancé in the zero-degree weather cleaning up my driveway and hauling the large carpet rolls into my garage until I find a way to get rid of them. Consultation: This was quick and painless, the sales person showed up on time and was pretty thorough with the measuring and making sure they knew what we wanted. They showed us various carpet samples based on the texture and style we wanted, also letting us know which specific colors were on sale. The sales person didn't make us feel pressured to make a decision the same day, but did offer an additional discount if we did purchase the carpet same-day. Scheduling: Super easy, the shade of carpet we chose was not in stock, would have been nice to know that before purchasing, as it lead to a longer delay on the install. Took about a week or so to get our color in, and schedule. We were able to get an appointment the following week. Install: installation took about 6.5 hours including a lunch break for the installers. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 hallways and the living room carpeted. There was no previous carpet so this was just a straight install without removal. The installers were extremely thorough and very nice. Whoever organized the carpet itself for the install was off on the amount and we were short, but the installers were experienced enough to work with what they had available to get the whole install done. Also, you can't even see the seams, it was pretty much flawless. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend 651 Carpets to anyone looking for new carpet. They offer no interest financing and give you all the costs upfront. They don't pressure you to purchase after the consultation, but offer a discount if you do purchase same-day (I don't consider that offer as pressure/ guilt) read more

Consultation was quick and friendly, and he had samples of carpet ready for us to sort through. We were able to schedule the installation on any date we wanted. On installation day last week, the team was prompt and friendly, and did an excellent job. They even carefully moved all of our furniture (beds, bookcases, crib, etc.) for the carpet installation, and moved everything back right where they found it.
