I have been walking on the floors barefoot since they were installed. The installer did a good job on the thresholds. Both the kind that lead to an outside door and the difference in the color of the plank into the bathroom space. The Owner Tina was great to work with. Until you are looking for a destination, you may not realize how close or where it is. Working in St Paul we have easily driven past Seestedt's a few hundred times going to work or Saints games. Anyhow we are considering remodeling our bathroom and based on my Yelpsearch, Seestedt's had some very solid reviews. Being that they are local and family owned are other key factors that we support. I had already done some research on their website to see what they had in stock. When we arrived we were greeted by Garrett and Clare. Garrett showed us to the area where they had their vinyl plank flooring. Seestedt's has carpet, vinyl plank and wood flooring and more. Garrett was very helpful answering our questions and explaining the benefits and different types of flooring we were looking for. We also learned that Seestedt's is in a historical building as we were shown the cut room where they used to cut the carpet decades ago. We were able to get a better idea of the colors we would like as this trip was more of information and check out the styles before we make our purchase. Seested's is also in the process of moving to a new location off of 94 and I believe White Bear Ave. They should be in their new location sometime between the end of this year or early 2019. We had two guest bedrooms/offices coming out of a chaotic mix of linoleum, tile, and carpet tiles, a utility/laundry room with rough concrete, and a large family room on polished concrete. We went with LVP in a rosewood finish for the bedrooms, a Moroccan-pattern sheet vinyl for the laundry room, and plush carpet for the den. The end result looks incredible -- but what stood out just as much as the finished product was how the entire process was handled. From day one, Curt was responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He walked us through the showroom, helped us think through each space, and came to the house to assess everything in person. His quote was thorough and transparent -- out the door pricing for all three rooms, no surprises. What we didn't fully anticipate was how much prep work our floors actually needed. Schneider's team handled self-leveling pours, subfloor resurfacing, and full prep on nearly every space to make sure everything was flush and seamless. They went well beyond scope -- installing new floor moldings, replacing old closet tracks that weren't compatible with the new flooring, and even coordinating a plumber to address a decrepit drain in the laundry room. Every detail was handled without us having to ask. Kyle did outstanding work on the LVP installation, and the rest of the crew handling the sheet vinyl and carpet were clearly masters of their craft. We were actually able to leave town and visit family while they worked, and came home to everything done, clean, and beautiful. We will absolutely be using Schneider again. John discussed making things right, however we were well past the point of allowing for this to continue and paid for a different contractor to finish the remaining rework. This took about a month. Then they said they filed a claim with the Manufacturer. Two months later told me that they mistakenly had not filed the claim. Once all this was done. They gave me an estimate and then said they had made a mistake and raised the price $1100. I contacted their CEO and made her aware of the problem. Never heard back, so my fear is that their lack of concern for their customer starts at the very top. My opinion is if you are looking for an efficient, accurate and customer focused company. Pass on this one.

Josh was our salesperson, and was tireless, knowledgeable, and patient in working out different options and educating us about the pros and cons. We did some comparison shopping. BCO's good pricing, their responsiveness and promptness, and them doing their own work (not subcontracting) were compelling, so we went with them. After we ordered the work, BCO was able to put the job on schedule within days. The BCO installers accidentally installed the vinyl plank in the wrong area. This error also led to some other issues. When BCO realized this, it immediately acknowledged its error and responsibility, and worked to correct as soon as it could. The BCO installers were back the next day to start addressing the issues, and Eric and another employee even visited the job after their workdays, just to evaluate and determine solutions. Matt (general manager) got involved at the end to make sure that we were satisfied with the resolution. (We were!) However careful a company is, some type of error will happen sometime to that company - that's a fact of life. How the company - and the people at the company - respond sets the great ones apart. And Bloomington Carpet One, through its actions and the actions of its employees, clearly distinguishes itself as a great company!
