Vietnamese Iced Coffee, 3. 2 Eggs with Cheese & Bacon Sandwich
    Sarah L.

I ordered the vietnamese iced coffee and the BEC sandwich on the asiago bagel. I was very excited to try this spot because of the good reviews, however, it was a HUGE letdown and waste of $20. The vietnamese coffee was SO BITTER. No kind of sweetener at all. Plus for $8 and i'm pretty sure this is just the packet kind, I'd rather go to Da Vien and get the authentic kind On to the bagel sandwich. I always order the asiago bagel because i love the flavor of the cheese. My complaint is that i had no idea their asiago bagel isnt even fully asiago. It's actually a Poppyseed asiago bagel. I hate poppyseeds, so if i would've known this prior to ordering online, I wouldn't have ordered it. You can't even taste the asiago in this bagel!! You can't tell it's just sprinkled on top vs mixed into it as well. Overall, highly disappointed with every single thing i've ordered and i won't be returning. I only gave it 2 stars because of the service of the 2 young ladies and it took me 45 mins to eat my bagel and it was still warm.

    I love the capers!!

My office is very close to this spot so we order from here often. You can pay for street parking, but I just walk from my office. It's very tiny and quaint inside. I'll start with the positives-I love the bagels and the lox with the works is one of my fave that I've ordered anywhere! On the less positive side-they have never actually gotten an order correct. We have only five in the office and each time we're either missing complete orders (that were paid for), or the orders are not correct. We also very simple things-like a toasted bagel with a flavored cream cheese, and it is still somehow often wrong. With that said, I'd just recommend checking your order before you leave to ensure it's correct. My boss has not learned this and has to go back each time to get it fixed. Food is great, but very good!

Wonderful bagel shop near the Long Beach Convention Center. Closest thing I've found to New York style bagels on the west coast. They have a ton to choose from but be aware they sell out fast! The staff is very nice and the restaurant is always kept clean with tons of seating. Make sure to check out their coffee as well.

Vanilla Chai Latte 100/10 - my favorite chai, definitely in the top three - leans more on the sweeter side but can still taste the spice from the chai - creamy - amazing ice - great price for the size 8. Denver Omelette Bagel 10/10 - everything inside is a classic combo and very yummy - half will get you full - added honey walnut cream cheese! Muffins 10/10 - both muffins were very moist and full of flavor - baked in house This is a must try bagel shop in Downtown LB! Their prices are fair for the proportion you receive. The bagels here are amazing, you can't go wrong with any of their flavors. They have a large variety of different bagels to choose from and cream cheeses as well! The combinations are endless. Their chai is very good and definitely one of the best chais I've had. Their muffins are super moist and make for a great dessert at the end. You will not be leg down but their food. The inside is very laid back, it's a place to grab a quick bite. The inside is clean but definitely not aesthetic which is fine. The workers here are very kind and will give you their attention.

Yeah, 5 stars for the best yummy Bagel I would never find in my area. This place used to be my go to spot back in time when I worked in DTLB, now it's been under new management, however, the taste has never changed but even better. I can't go wrong here, every bite is just so delicious. Great service., we got our orders so quick, as we walked in, we feel very welcomed :) i assured, she must be the owner, with beautiful smiling face ^_^ Love their fresh squeezed orange juice as well, very natural texture, the ice coffee is also a bomb (didn't get to take the picture, because I was just doving in and sipping right away) Lol Very nice ambiance, multiple tables are available to dinne in. Street Parking meters are available. The location is in the middle of DTLB, Also, you can go around and chill out.

We're visiting from out of town and decided to give this place a try. It's tasty and affordable. Something that can be hard to find these days. It's a nice bagel shop with a good selection. I had the eggwich on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. Personally I would have appreciated more jalapeño, and I think the eggs could have used more seasoning. Overall we were happy with everything!

Killer stop for a breakfast sandwich and coffee before you go about your day. Quick, delicious, and reasonably priced grub in a classic little deli setting right the heart of LBC. Daily drop in when we were heading to the recording studio!

2 stars bc i really love the bagel This is a bagel pizza honestly is so good but OMG the employees are so freaking rude I've been here so many time n honestly their attitude is the WORST yall need to Do better. The ambience is chilly I would say is nice

I absolutely love this bagel shop! From breakfast sandwiches to lunch sandwiches, homemade cookies, and muffins--the list goes on. You really can't go wrong here. I've explored almost the entire menu, and that's exactly what keeps me coming back. I usually stop by in the morning, and while the line can get long, it's always worth it. The vibe reminds me of a cozy little spot in Brooklyn or Manhattan--total New York feel. Customer service is always on point, and everything tastes fresh and made with love. If you're craving a bagel, this is the place. Seriously... check out my photos! Pricing is very reasonable oh yeah, and they have different types of cream cheese definitely a plus for me

Salmon bagel w capers and pickle

12/31/24 was my second time having lunch at this bagel spot in DTLB. I got the smoked vox/salmon bagel on sesame, and my bf got 2 Denver Omelets on one everything bagel & one parmesan/spinach bagel. He recommends the Denver on the everything bagel over the Parmesan/spinach. My smoked salmon was so tasty! The smoked fish was delicious over cream cheese & red onions. The pickle on the side was a perfect sour compliment. I'm not a fan of capers (I found this out today) but they are also served on the side and my bf told me his opinion was that they suited the salmon good as well. So that part is up to the individual taste! I got the unsweetened oolong tea from the fridge and it was tasty & refreshing, however warm coffees and other drinks are available made in house, like freshly pressed orange juice which I've had here as well. Overall the food was fresh, tasty, and filling but not too overwhelming of a meal. We went on New Year's Eve, and they were closing early so everyone was a bit rushed, but overall the service was professional and friendly. Thanks for having us!

I actually rank every restaurant in comparison to my experiences at Heritage because I think Heritage is truly the gold standard for exceptional dining. So I have been so excited to try Olive and Rose! They have fun pool parties and different events throughout the week. And tonight they had a pottery decorating sgraffito class in the courtyard by the pool which was tons of fun! I saw they had braised octopus on the menu and had to try it. My single favorite bite of food was a scallop I had from Heritage so I know Chef Petty knows how to prepare seafood. The octopus was delicious. It was similar to Spanish octopus but topped with a bright salad green oil/sauce that gave it a different kick. This is probably my second favorite octopus in all of LA. I wish there was a bit more of the octopus itself, but it was still delicious. The beans and potatoes on the dish were great complements. The service is attentive and quick. You can eat inside or out on the patio, I opted for the latter since the clay pottery was outside. Either way is lovely. I definitely want to come back for more events! The only downside is parking is TOUGH. Be prepared to circle for a bit.

Since then the grilled Reuben has been my measuring stick for every restaurant that serves it. It's a must! It shows the attention to detail. It's not a sandwich you can rush. It requires its own time to caramelize and set the flavors up properly. Just like a house made soup, a Grilled Reuben can tell you a lot. And, it just happens to be my favorite sandwich of all time! So. High marks on the store itself. It has a very open air feel, lots of natural lighting, high ceilings and then a hidden court yard behind the shop. It's very clean with lots of colors and art. The music is perfect for the space. The menu is varied and they have both alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic drinks. It's a deli. And they absolutely fill the roll perfectly. And as anyone will tell you, who frequents any deli in the country. What matters is the food. Period. All the niceties mean nothing if the food distant stand up. So... how did they do? Meh. I've had worse. Much worse. I've also had much better. And understand his is my personal opinion. I'm well aware that my comments will not reflect the opinion of everyone. But, the corned beef. They do not cook it in house. It didn't appear to be a brisket although with it being shaved as thinly as it is I don't know if that would help. Brisket corned beer works best when it's nice thick beautiful cuts that break apart and melt in your mouth. But. As you can see in the picture, they don't grill the corned beef but they do pile it pretty darn high. Which is nice. The sauerkraut wasn't grilled. The rye wasn't roasted long enough so the Swiss didn't properly melt and set. Not enough Thousand Island dressing. The rye has the perfect texture and it helps to very nicely. An excellent Jewish rye! The pesto pasta salad was very nice. And it looked as if the other sides were made with an equal amount of attention and love. So high marks there. This is one of those tough reviews because the reality is the atmosphere, the staff and the location are all excellent. The sandwich needs some work. Remember that the Grilled Reuben is the ONLY TRUE American Sandwich. It was created from scratch for the 1942 World's Fair in New York City. It's an original! Treat it with the respect it deserves. And this three star sandwich... of all sandwiches is a hard pass. Sorry. But, if you would ever like to have me come into your restaurant and show you how to serve the best Reuben of your life... just invite me back. I'd love to show you how to make some simple tweaks and turn a meh into a don't miss!
