I came here for a pointe shoe fitting. The employees were rude and only showed me a couple pairs and rushed me into making a decision. I bought them and after showing my shoes to my dance teacher she said they did not fit correctly. The store would not accept my return even though the shoes had never been worn because it had been 14 days. I will not be shopping here again. read more

Jessica was absolutely AMAZING!!! Best pointe shoe fitting ever! And we have been to a lot of places. We came here on a recommendation from another dance mom for a pointe shoe fitting. Jessica took the time to thoroughly evaluate my daughter's feet and ask her questions about the shoes she had worn previously. She explained in detail why she was experiencing some challenges with the shoe she was in. Not only was it a successful fitting she took the time to show my daughter exactly where and how her elastics should be sewn. She is a pro and we are excited to see her next time!! read more

I went to this store with my daughters. We bought 5 pairs of dance shoes for $171 and the girl that helped us acted like we were inconveniencing her. She would put one shoe on and tell the girls that the fit was good. I started asking her if we could try the other one on and she got so irritated. Then I had the audacity to have have my girls stand up so we could see how they actually fit when they were standing. The nerve of me to want to make sure the shoes fit on BOTH feet and while standing must've been too much for her because when she had to go to the back to get another pair of shoes she complained about me to another staff member with the door wide open. I was not rude, only asked if we could try on the other shoe. Every single time because she had to be asked with every pair, apparently wanting me to have to ask her rather than just getting the shoe out of the box without me asking. News flash, most people have one foot that is bigger than the other and feet expand when you stand. I don't know why this was such an insult to her that I insisted on the girls trying on both shoes and standing up but she was extremely rude and I will not be going back. According to the receipt her name was JValenzuela. ETA: Edited from a 1 Star to a 3 because the owner called me after reading the review. He was very kind and said he would talk with the employee. I appreciated his call and said I would edit my review. I hope the employee actually does change how she treats customers but the owner was great. read more

So thankful for this dance wear shop. We use it regularly. They've always been very helpful sizing my daughter's shoes and helping me find the right tights and leotards. Always greeted quickly and leave with what I need. They are also helpful in making sure you get the right level of shoe for my daughter. I was looking at a very expensive tap shoe for my daughter, and after asking me a few questions, they helped me find another style that was much less expensive. And adequate for her level. Poor and very rude customer service. We had no help finding what we needed. The racks were so packed with leotards that I couldn't pull one out without 4 coming with it. If I go back I will make sure Jessica is not there. Surly there are nicer people that need a job. read more

We have purchased many items from this lovely, well stocked store. Our most recent visit and purchase, was for a pair of pointe shoes. You need to make an appointment for this type of shoe fitting as it takes some time for proper fitting. The young lady who helped us was named Jess, and she spent all the time we needed to find the best fit for my daughter, as she's hard to fit in a Pointe shoe. I believe she tried on 6 pair before deciding on one. Jess was very patient and polite and a great help for our visit. read more

Shopped here for the first time on Tuesday morning. First impression of the store It was extremely busy and there was a lot to look at. I felt a little lost being a newer dance mom. But we had a great experience. I was helped by the girl with the long brown hair and grey sweater. I wish I would have gotten her name. It was the best shopping experience I have ever had. She was extremely sweet and polite. She helped me find everything my daughter needed, she helped us with shoes as well as tights. Super thankful for this store being so close to where I live as well as the customer service. I will be returning and suggesting it to all of my friends. read more

Very well stocked dance wear boutique. Went during a really high demand time of the year for dance shoes and they had what we needed in stock. The salesperson was very nice, although very young. My only complaint is that the person helping us did not seem knowledgeable. Fortunately we knew exactly what shoes we were looking for and how they were to fit. Parking is limited and the lot is difficult to get out of on to the busy road. Overall I would shop there again. read more

You should not have to give personal information to shop anywhere. In order to purchase a pair of shoes for my child, I was required to give out my first and last name as well as my phone number. They store your shopping history as well. When I asked if I could make the purchase without giving my phone number, I was told I could not and lectured on how it's helpful for other people. Poor customer service, we will not return. To top it off, when we left, we looked on Amazon and found the exact same Bloch jazz shoes for half the price! read more

My experience was extraordinary. I'd searched everywhere for a particular dance bag, and not only did they search high and low, but Trent ensured that I would be able to pick it up the next day. Although the store is very well stocked and carries beautiful merchandise, I was extremely disappointed in the customer service. I was there for the first time for our first experience with my two year old daughter for classes at Dana's which is right next door. The lady who helped us(JValenzuelz) did not greet us, was displeased when we asked for assistance and was super rude throughout the entire time we were there. I wanted this to be a great experience for me and my daughter but it surely wasn't. I went back for a second time to make one return and the lady who was there to assist us that time was even worse (DHardin). I am an extremely polite person, gave neither one of them any grief or problem and I was simply appalled at how I was treated. Not sure if it was because they consider themselves a high end store in a nice side of town that they think it gives them the right to treat people so rude and disrespectfully. This lady even took my return and threw it hard on the floor. The merchandise i was returning was brought back 2 days later, it didn't fit, still had the original ticket, nothing was wrong with it. I am not sure why she was so upset. Needless to say I am NEVER going back. I will let everyone at Dana's know how I was treated including my friends, neighbors, and anyone else that is willing to listen. read more

I am absolutely appalled by the customer service at this store. I took my 2-year old there to purchase ballet and tap shoes last week. At the sales lady's recommendation, I bought the ballet shoes a half size bigger because the shoe strings easily adjust and bought the tap shoes right at my daughter's shoe size because the sales lady recommended that "they should fit snuggly." Unfortunately after my 2-year old's first dance class, she told me her feet hurt. She only had them on for no more than 15 minutes. They did seem a bit too snug. So today I took my 3 kids back to the store to exchange it for a bigger size and in front of my 3 kids the same sales lady looked at me like I was out of my mind for thinking that she would accept the shoes back. I explained to her that I bought the tap shoes in the size at her recommendation and she responded that she would never said that "the shoes should fit snuggly." Seeing that she seemed so upset over such a small situation, I asked the lady not to have "such a smart attitude" in front of my kids. The sales lady got even more enraged. I again explained that I merely bought these tap shoes last week and my daughter just wore it once. To which the sales lady responded "She should have told you that while you were in the store." Again, my daughter is 2 years old and perhaps she should have but then am I going out on a limb here to think that she's only 2?! The conversation then got worse when the sales lady called a second sales lady over to take over the situation. The second sales lady was even worse. She flat out told me that there is nothing that they could do for me given that the shoes have been worn (ONCE!) and that I can stand there all day if I wished. Now who says that to a customer? By this time, all of my 3 kids got so upset that the ladies were yelling at me. Even my 7-year old was crying and she is not easily bothered. I have lived here for 3 years and this is the first retail experience I've encountered that is at this level of unprofessional. I am appalled that there are people like this in this small community who deal with children on a daily basis with this lack of professionalism. Needless to say, I will NEVER come back and will be sure to let people know about this. read more

Worst customer service ever. These people obviously don't care about selling things because they seem really bored and unwilling to help. You have to ask them to help you fit your child. Also, the first time I went there, they supposedly looked up where my daughter was going to dance to see what shoes she needed, and they sold me an extra pair of jazz shoes (which cost $40, the most expensive shoes I bought there). The studio she attends does not require jazz shoes for the combination classes, only for the jazz classes. It even says that in their little binder. So she sold me the shoes, telling me it was required, just to make money. And then when I tried to return them, it was outside the return policy (14 days) so they wouldn't take them back even though they had never been worn. Also, if you do return shoes within 14 days, it's for store credit so you have to endure their awful customer service again. Now I go there to get my kids' feet measured and fitted for shoes and then buy them online. I refuse to spend any more money there. read more

I expected to be a bit irked based on the reviews and my experience getting information from them by phone, but I really needed dancewear in a hurry and--based on their online store--they appeared to have what I needed. A sales associate, surrounded by two other associates, asked if she could help me. I said, "I'd like a child's medium Bloch lavender leotard." One associate responded, "That's very specific." Another said they don't carry lavender in the store (fyi, they only carry pink, blue, and black in ALL brands). Then she walked away, so I thought she was going to check on something for me. I waited around, and she never came back. Then I overheard a little girl ask if they had a smaller size (the one she was wearing was obviously very loose), and a sales associate, said, "Um, what's wrong with that one?" On top of the poor customer service, the prices were much higher than advertised in their online store. For instance, a leotard was $12.25 online, and the website said it would be $16.25 in the store, but it was marked $17.00! The tights didn't have prices on them at all. As badly as I needed the dancewear, I wasn't about to spend my money where the prices were so inflated and the customer service so poor. read more

Stay far away! Unfortunately their website is a scam. I bought a top from them and used paypal for checkout. It's one of those company's that have to accept the payment before processing the order. They accepted the payment and then nothing. No order confirmation, no dispatch notification or anything. Two weeks went by without receiving anything so I sent them two emails, I had no response so I contacted them through paypal, again no response. I was left with no option to open a case against them where paypal had tried several times over 7 days to get a response... Again, no reply. It took me a month to get my money back, however I have noticed the site is continuing to accept payments (probably in the hope that people don't make a claim.) After my experience I was curious to know if they do this often or if I was maybe just the unlucky one-off person. Do your research! as I found 100's of reviews over the last few months of people who have had the same experience and have been conned by this fraudulent (but very convincing) site. read more
