Great experience here today! I had gone online to check availability of the ASICS Nimbus 25 shoes and was happy to find some in stock and available in my size! I was greeted promptly and a salesman brought me a couple of pairs to try on, including the new Nimbus 26's which were nice, but I am a bit partial to the Nimbus 25's so I stayed with them, especially since they were offering 25% off of them on the stock they had left, making them a great value! This was a great experience and I will certainly shop here in the future for Service, Value , and Selection! read more

I would love to give the store five stars. My experience was really good. But I came in kind of knowing what I needed. They have a very cool computer that measures your exact foot size and they can email you a copy of the results. I got an excellent pair of shoes for working out and they fit very good and are very comfortable. My sister experienced something different with one of the staff not paying attention to her instead she was on her cell phone and talking about her college professor. Unfortunately she did not fit my sister probably and she had to return the shoes. So I guess whoever you get in the store can make a difference on whether you leave with the right pair or not read more

While looking online for an authorized dealer of Oofos brand shoes this location was the closest to me. I must confess I am not a runner. I'm happy to report I felt no weirdness being an obvious non-runner (aka outta shape and overweight person) shopping there. So to my fellow non-runner peeps you're safe here. I promise!! For those of you looking to purchase one of Oofos' amazing products call ahead and verify they have the style and size you're looking for. While they have a huge selection of the flip flops, clogs and slide inside the selection of the newer low shoes is a bit small especially if you're looking for a specific color. If you want to buy a running shoe that is perfect for your feet, I can't imagine going to any other store. As far as I know, all the people working at Run On stores are runners themselves so they know what they are talking about. They ask you to both walk and run without shoes to get a good idea what kind of shoe you need to make sure it supports your type of feet better. They also have a treadmill that you can run on as you try different shoes. They even let you try walking in the shoe outside the store if you want to. I ended up with Asics gel shoe, I've used it them for a couple of weeks and they have been a perfect fit for my feet. They also sell clothing and socks made specifically for running like "Feetures" and other things. The service was really good. It can get a little crowded on the weekend but it's well worth the wait. read more

DON'T GET RIPPED OFF HERE! Bought a pair of Brooks a week ago, walked in them 3 times. The left shoe has an odd lip/bulge in the heel that resulted in a blister, so took the shoes back to exchange them since we're certain it's a defect in this particular pair (my husband felt for it in other shoes and none of the others had that bump). The assistant manager, Jacob, was quick to let my husband know that there will be no possibility of an exchange or return because the shoes must be unworn for that to happen. He claims they all have that bump and that my socks are the cause for the blister. Note: the right shoe doesn't have this bump, the other shoes in the store didn't have this bump, and I've worn the same type of socks without issues for years - he even tried to sell us on specialty socks instead, as if we're remotely interested in forking over more money at this store! For many years, we have bought shoes at Run On! and were always told to go out and actually run in them to test them out, with 30 days to return them for any reason if they're not working out. I walked in these shoes 3 times on sidewalk and they were deemed too worn. Apparently this is the "new policy". When my husband wanted to ask more questions, this assistant manager hid in the back and my husband had to wait for a while for an employee to finally come out of "hiding" and give him the assistant manager's name so we can move on to contacting the corporate office. Needless to say, we will no longer spend $150+ per pair of shoes at this store. For those who have been loyal Run On! customers for years, beware that Run On! is not the same store it used to be and your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

I don't wear socks, and they said we sell them. While my intention was to buy a great pair of running shoes, I left. The store could have offered to let me use a sock to try the shoes on. Best place around to buy good, quality running shoes! Run On is far superior to Academy, mall shoe stores, and places like Kohls. First of all they have higher quality shoes. Personally, I always wear Saucony shoes for running. Run On and Luke's Locker are the only places to buy them. They sell all the top quality shoes like Brooks and Hoka that you can't find elsewhere. You you have never tried these shoes than you need to run to Run On now and make a change. Second, they have staff who actually know what they are talking about from personal experience. If I have a question about how a shoe will hold up while trading a marathon I want to ask someone who has run a marathon instead of some dude just trying to sell whatever shoe. The staff will take the time to accurately size your foot and make recommendations based on your foot. They also sell clothes, gu, compression items, and everything else you need to be set up for success. There are about 15 shoe stores much closer than this Run On, but it's definitely worth the trip. read more

After going through many different shoes (brands/styles), I really wanted to know what kind of runner I am. Many of my friends recommended Run On for fitment and recommendations. When I walked in, there was so much action going on in the store, even on a weekday! At first, I felt a bit overwhelmed but as soon as I was greeted by Dane, it was a very smooth experience from then on out. He had me walk / run to see the movement in my feet/legs. I was recommended a pair of New Balance, Asics, and Brooks runnings shoes. After careful consideration and running up and down the block, I chose the New Balance shoes. The staff there is wonderful and the shoes that Dane recommended work perfect for work, play and working out. Big kudos to Run On for having such a knowledgeable staff and great selection of shoes and equipment. They give honest advice, real world scenarios and great customer service all around! read more

I'm so sorry we stopped here and I'm even more sad that we have this store a lot of money. My husband needed specific shoes that are very expensive. The clerk was most unhelpful and even seemed disinterested or disconnected. We are clearly not his target market. However, due to COVID-19 when it's harder to get essentials, we continued and did not leave. My husband asked for a specific style and the clerk said "you're lucky you get this one." When I questioned why? The clerk could not close his gaping mouth and asked "what are you talking about?" I asked "do you not carry a large stock, is it not a popular style, are you having delivery problems due to Corona, etc?" So I asked Do I need to continue shopping here? He would not, or could not, answer any question. A manager finally came to help and we bought $200 shoes. Great service from people who know running. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it's worth it! Once they get to you, you have their complete focus for as long as you need to get the shoes you need. Personally, I prefer a minimal show with as close to zero drop as I can get, and I like to try a bunch. They're patient, knowledgeable, and really seem interested in helping me get the shoes that will give me a great running experience. I love Run On! It is a GREAT store to get running shoes. They have knowledgeable sales reps who will help you find the perfect running shoe for your foot. It may not be the trendiest or the cutest shoe, but they will find the most functional and comfortable shoe. I discovered the hard way that functional and comfortable are more important for running. I was wearing a brand that was cute and trendy, but too narrow so my toes were falling asleep when I ran. Much better now with help from Run On! I decided to bump up my work out regiment by taking a running class with the store. It is AWESOME! Running 101 is the beginner class and it is broken into 3 groups. I'm currently in the lowest level, but I'm just damn glad to be there. 100 pounds ago, running AT ALL would have been a joke. My coach is an inspiration. His positive attitude makes me actually LIKE running in the cold. He also shares beneficial information about safety, posture, breathing, stretching, hydration, etc. at every class. There are also 3 to 4 guest lecturers that visit the during the 6 week class. Everything from marathon prep to nutrition has been covered. At the end of the class, we participate as a group in a 5K. We are running in the Mardi Gras 5K. I'm excited because I've wogged (run walked) several races, but I've never actually run one. With the help of my coach, I think I'll be ready to run most of this race! I'm so excited! read more

From usual brands like Nike and New Balance and there's some you wouldn't know unless you are a true dedicated runner. Every runner needs a good pair of running shoes. I've bought three sets of shoes from this Run On store over the last few years and pick up my race packets from this location. I've run my first two half marathons using shoes picked up from this location and the staff has always been very nice and helpful. I love they give discounts for members of the area running clubs, and when you buy a shoe you aren't stuck with a salesperson trying to push whatever new and expensive model that they can make the most money from, they give you several options and fully expect you to go outside and run around a bit to see how they feel. Very knowledgeable staff, friendly, and runners themselves, which makes it a great overall experience. The ability to take your shoe on a test drive after purchasing and return it if it doesn't feel right adds to the no-remorse purchase feeling. I much prefer giving my money to stores like Run On that are promoting the sport of running and have staff that is eager to help answer questions instead of just trying to make a buck off you. read more

They even have packet pick up for some runs around the Dallas area, which is really convienent for those of us who do not like driving like ME! For my shoe fitting, they were so helpful with this. I've never had a "fitting" for athletic shoes. WOW!!! These guys all know their stuff. To have shoes that are heaven on my feet and to be able to power walk without any foot, knee or hip pain...AMAZING. Not to mention the prices are surprisingly good. BEST service in a shoe store. I'm running the Houston Marathon in a few weeks and came in to find some shoes. Sergey did an excellent job recommending me a pair that was similar to what I've been training with and will give me the cushion to deal with Houston's concrete streets. He knows what he's talking about. They'll have you try on a few pairs of shoes that they think would work well for you based off your running stride and preferences. Like someone else posted, bring your old running shoes and socks to help with the fitting process. Unfortunately, they didn't have the size I needed and it would have taken too long to get here before my last long run in a couple days. Otherwise, I would definitely have bought my shoes here. The prices you'll find here are pretty comparable to what you'd find elsewhere, but the employees here are so helpful! So yeah there's a reason why this place averages 5 stars. They are awesome! I started getting into running because my Hubs started running 5Ks, 10Ks, 15Ks, and then 1/2 marathons and asked me every.single.day. to go with him. I was running in Nike Free's and after my second 5K in those puppies I decided the pins and needles feeling of my feet falling asleep meant it was time for some "serious" running shoes. We were greeted by staff and the employee who helped me took his time and was not pushy or trying to rush me at all. He asked if I needed anything else, he didn't force a new outfit or a bunch of accessories on me. I ended up getting some Ascics (sp?) and a pair of socks.
