I was shopping around for some new work shoes with my 2 children. My daughter (6) tells me she needs to use the restroom and goes to ask the associate working for permission. She returns to tell me the woman refused to let her use it giving the excuse that she was by herself and couldn't leave the floor. The "manager" as she calls herself comes over to explain her reasoning. I reply that I will escort them to the restroom (was planning to anyway) so she wouldn't have to leave the floor, she still refuses. Mind you this restroom is 3 steps into their back room! Every place I shop I expect to be able to use the restroom especially for my children. I find it unacceptable customer service to treat children like that saying they have to go next door (to a competitor) to use the facilities. My family shouldn't be inconvenienced because of their staffing issue. I won't be back to this location again.

I've tried and shopped at Target, Ross, DSW and Burlington in the past for dress shoes but either my feet are all wonky or these stores simply never have my available size, width or style. As I was the only customer in Famous Footwear, the salesperson greeted me and was able to provide her full attention. I'm not one to browse around for too long, so I told her exactly what I was looking for. She took my notes and directed me to the dress shoe section, where she pointed out one that had a decent look but wasn't to my liking or size. When I had questions about the tight front-loose back problems I've always had with formal shoes, she directed me to another pair that aligns more with my style, had good cushion support and proper sizing. Ultimately, she also provided me with cushion stickies for the back of my shoes to prevent slipping. The overall experience was super positive. She was very kind and I got what I wanted in a timely manner! I only wish they had a larger catalog for the style of shoes I was looking for in case I wanted to browse for a longer period of time.

After a couple of days of hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park, i noticed there was a small tear in the inside area of the right boot. I called the NRH store and Jim (I believe that was the salesmans name) was extremely attentive to helping me locate a dealer in the Estes Park or Denver area. After a failed attempt to replace the boots there locally due to not having the same boots, I opted to continue wearing them and then took them back to the store in NRH and Ted, the manager, helped me. He was extremely helpful with my replacement boots and said they stood behind the brand. Said it had to be just a fluke or something. Either way, i left with a new pair replacing the 3 week old pair and with a very nice thank you and come back. I would certainly go back to that store just because of how well they do stand behind their brand and make the transaction so easy. Their collections run the spectrum from polished casual to semi-formal, with some formal pieces from time-to-time, (especially around the holiday season), so they don't just sell dressier clothes even if that is what they are usually known for selling (note: WHBM has great jeans!).
