The home has a boiler which in itself is hard to find someone who knows how to repair. Our home also has an evaporative cooler. Both Shane has worked on. Before finding Infinity we went through many other repair services. One time we were without heat and we went through two other companies claiming they fixed it before we found Infinity. We moved from a home with AC to the evaporative cooler and Shane was patient our first summer as we worked hard to make repairs, replace parts to get it working efficiently. He's been out to our home at least a handful of times. So much so that this last time I called, he knew where I lived based upon a house description alone. Like I said, we moved into a neglected older home. If any of you are looking for your go to company for heating and cooling I would encourage you to give Shane a try. I don't believe you would be disappointed. He's been honest, timely, efficient, kind and respectful of our home, and the biggest thing - he's always fixed the problem!

When he arrived, he was there maybe 10 minutes, told me he would send a quote, and 3 days later, I'm still waiting. Compared to his competitors, this business isn't even in the same league. Every other business that came to give a free quote talked me through options, evaluated my furnace, electrical, then did a load calculation to get an idea of exactly what I need. It's quite possible this business does good work, but sales and understanding the customer needs is not a strong suit.

Absolute Mechanical? More like Absolutely no service whatsoever…read more Originally we were dealing with an AC unit and tried going through our home warranty. Don't get me wrong the home warranty is a headache in of itself; they don't get off the hook that easy. However Frank was technician number 4 and he came out to look at the unit. Originally it appeared he did a nice job; quality work, made sure to look thoroughly, etc. The original appointment was on August 10th. Sounds good right? Wrong. Most people would probably think we would hear more information from both Absolute Mechanical and the Home warranty company within a week or 2. Dead silence. After repeatedly hammering both lines of communication (home warranty and Frank, the technician, directly) we have essentially gotten nowhere. All the warranty company can tell me is that "they are waiting on additional information to be sent from the technician" I tried calling Frank and he claims that he's filled out the report and the ball is in the warranty company's court. Maybe he has filled out the report? Maybe he hasn't? On one of our calls he even went as so far to say our report was deleted by the home warranty company?? (I don't know how the home warranty company would delete our report when he was the original one who wrote it?) Don't worry though, after about 10 minutes he found the report just in the wrong folder. After much back and forth, the warranty company confirmed that they received the information for the repair on August 20th. Next steps are that the technician will call us to schedule. As of September 9th I'm still waiting on a phone call from the technician to move forward. Don't worry though, I'm sure he's going to call any day now. In addition, the warranty company now claims that they need additional information for the "replacement" rather than the "repair" and you guessed it, "they are waiting on the technician to send them that additional information. I can't believe I'm saying this, but you could probably learn the HVAC trade and fix your own AC yourself by the time Absolute decides to figure anything out

The short story is this company did not do the work hired to do, lied that it was done and billed me for it. When confronted and given a second chance, the company again pretended to do the work and outright lied that it had been done. It's that black and white. I hired George the owner to replace old HVAC ductwork. George quoted me $2600 to replace all ductwork in the crawl space and insulate it with hard pipe. The day the work was scheduled, he didn't show up. I texted and he said "Sorry, we are getting all the materials, we go to emergency job yesterday, we are stopping by today to start work." Note the use of "we." This indicated to me that he was involved in the material purchasing and the work. The next day he sent photos of the "finished" work and an invoice. When I went to check out the work, I saw the pipes had not been replaced. I contacted George. He said he would make sure it was all replaced. The next day he sent photos and a video saying it was all done. I crawled into the crawlspace and NONE of the pipes had been replaced. New insulation was wrapped around only the pipes that were visible from the opening of the crawlspace to make it look at first glance like the job was done, but when I pulled back the shiny new insulation, it was covering the old original pipes from 1925. When I went further back into the crawlspace, nothing had been done. They hadn't even bothered to wrap new insulation. They assumed I wouldn't see it. I called George and confronted him. He blamed it on his "guys" and said they told him they did the job. Either way, as the owner, he's responsible to check the job, especially after being told it wasn't done and being given a second chance. If his guys lied to him the first time, you'd think he'd go check on it the second time to make sure it got done. Even if he wasn't on site (which his texts made it sound like he was), he'd notice from such a big job that no old pipes were disposed of and none of the new materials he supposedly bought had been used. So it appeared to be intentional deception. He did not expect a female to belly crawl into an old nasty crawlspace and check the work, and thus tried to take advantage of that. I refused to pay him and he said that was fine. I can't believe a company would so blatantly said they did the work - twice - when they did not.
