Not to mention, this salon wanted to charge me $22 for eyebrow threading, when on Yelp it clearly says it should cost $14. In my experience $22 is a price I would pay for a premium service at a much cleaner or higher end threading boutique. This place is not that...not even close. In the middle of the service, she says she can't do my eyebrows because I can't pull my skin tight enough, and asks me if I can remove my contact lenses for her lol...mind you, she has no other clients in the salon at the time! I think she was just in a bad mood, or perhaps it's the poor customer service that's the reason she's not busy today. Probably because the locals know better. I should've trusted my gut and went to Saylah Threading on Amsterdam Ave instead. My girl at Saylah always does an excellent job with no extra requirements on behalf of the customer and charges half the iiprice in a spa setting! The issue is not that the price increased -- it's that I was not informed or given an updated total before the service continued. Being told a service would be "around $100" and then being presented with a $300 total at checkout is a major gap in communication. That should have been clarified before proceeding, not after everything was already done. On top of this, I was met with a very condescending attitude being asked if I had read our messages. Childish.

She was knowledgeable about the latest technology and demonstrated outstanding customer service. At the start of the service she asked me lots of questions about what I wanted. She was so gentle that I did not know she had begun to apply the extensions until she was halfway done with one eye! She made sure to check on how I was doing throughout the service and offered snacks when it was over. She also walked me through when to come back and how to care for these lashes, educating me on how lash glue has evolved.
