We had TJ come out to meet with us and get an idea of what we had in mind for our backyard space and he took some measurements. We met with him again and he showed us a 3D image of what he designed for us. That 3D design came out way better than expected so we decided to proceed. They are very transparent with you and always try their best to answer any and all questions the customer has. They also have financing options which is great. We also had some custom decals done for our pool which was super nice. We are very pleased with our final product and will always recommend this company to anyone who wants to get their yard improved. I chose to sign a contract based more on overall cost and familiarity with another company. Initially called to get a bid. Met in person and described what I was looking for. They delivered an excellent design that was was a more creative use of space than most other companies. Their overall design included lots of retaining walls and landscaping that was not included in the contest price but would have made for a lovely backyard oasis. They were timely in response to my initial communication and delivered the design earlier than promised. Ultimately, I decided on a company I'd done work with before but I know Aloha would have been a great company to select as well. 5-stars - I couldn't go there just based on contract price being a little higher than the competition and we ultimately got our dream pool for about $8000 less than what Aloha was charging. Again, I'm sure the value is there as they delivered at every interaction.

Fortunately I wasn't in a rush with the Corona buyers so I had flexibility and time. Price - His price was comparable to the majority of other quotes. You get what you pay for. My learned lesson is to beware of builders that are too cheap or way over priced. Communication - Absolutely top notch!! He always had me plugged into the building phase. Whenever I had a question, he always replied In 10-15 minutes. Work - Also top notch!! From start to finish his crew did a great job. Any concerns that I had were immediately addressed. Suppliers - Although Aloha does have a preferred supplier, talk with Mark and let him know if you already have another supply company in mind. They worked with us and our preference. Payment - NO DOWN PAYMENT AT ALL!! Our first payment was only after the completion of phase 1 and with our approval. From what I came to understand, some companies ask for an upfront down payment, in reality this is to fund other projects and it's not going to your build.

After talking with him, we knew that he was going to deliver a great product at a reasonable price and he sure didn't disappoint! Quality Custom does not sub contract any work. Everything is done in house so there is no waiting between the building phases for the pool. Jim is very involved in the entire process and his company sends out emails, almost daily telling you what to expect next, etc. in the building process. They started our pool April 3rd and we were filling it on June 26th, finishing ahead of schedule. Along with Jim, everyone on his team, including the workers are extremely nice and you can tell they love what they do. We had our pool guy come for the first time this past week and he told us that we have the Lamborghini of pool equipment (filters, pumps, etc.) He told us Jim does that because he doesn't have to spend more money on sub contractors for the pool so he gets top quality equipment. He also said he loves coming to a house that was done by Quality Custom because everything is so much easier for him from a maintenance perspective because the pool and equipment were put together so well. Overall, there's not enough stars I could give to Quality Custom Pools!! They were great from start to finish. If you're thinking about building a pool don't waste your time with anyone else!! P.S. When the project was done, he offered to provide his electrician to install 3 lights in the pool. He charged $3500. I paid $1500 to his electrician and $2000 to Jose. He never gave an invoice despite many times asking him. Unfortunately I paid him in full before completing his electrical work. His guy wasn't licensed and did an extreme unprofessional and unsafe job. Jose sent two more of his guys and both said the electrician did such a bad job that we have to redo the job. Since the lights were not working. I hired a licensed electrician and Jose agreed to pay him in order not to report him to the board. Electrician completely did the whole job all over again and charged $1650. I keep asking Jose that he promised to pay me but he never paid me. I am reporting him to board and have enough documentation to support my complaint. DO NOT TRUST JOSE AND NEVER HIRE HIM FOR ANY WORK.

There were little thorn/sticker plants all over that would get lodged in shoes, tires, and feet when they made it into the house. I would almost say stepping on those is somewhere close to a 2am lego experience. 0/10 - do not recommend. So, I reached out to Dekkon and worked with both Brittnee and Jose to come out to the house and check out the front (and backyard for future project efforts) to provide an estimate. At the time, the funds weren't available to get the stuff removed. About a week ago when things were finally in a better place, I checked in with them again and they were able to quickly get me on the schedule for yesterday. Price quoted was still honored - which, is pretty awesome considering that the work had to wait a month. Looking forward to having them back to do additional work when the finances permit.
