New day, new deal? The bison burger at the 49r just added some new Schwag. Besides the usual delicious, sides this bad boy adds bleu cheese! Mmmm mmmm yes! Follow that up with a desert! BAM!

    Vodka tonic, cheers!

We found a hidden gem in Acton! The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was amazing! The whole place had such a great vibe even the customers were super friendly! We'll definitely be back!

Found this gem as a good lunch spot on the way to Las Vegas. Food and service were excellent. The ambience is certainly old western bar. Friendly waitress Jessie took care of us, and the owner Larry sat for a spell. Italian wedding soup and we split a burger. Biggest onion ring I've ever seen! Thank you for ensuring that you have authentic food and a welcoming atmosphere.

What a delightful surprise. We were served by Cecelia - who is a delight and just full of knowledge about the community. Although rustic, it is clean and comfy. The menu is pretty great - they can accommodate for vegetarian and vegan diets and they cater. But we were craving burgers - and these were good! I had the butter burger and the Hubbs had the bison burger. My side salad with house made poppy seed dressing was really good. The burgers were cooked perfectly to order and the brioche buns were soft and sturdy. The fries were perfectly extra-crispy. We took a bread pudding to go. Really a highlight stop.

It had been several years since I had been to the 49'r. It is being run by a husband & wife team who are doing their best to make it work. It's definitely a locals place. The place was fairly empty and it took a while to get service. Which was ok. They have a full bar. My wife ordered a mixed drink and I went for beer on tap. Both were good. The menu hasn't changed in years and I ordered what I was familiar with. The butter burger is a favorite of mine and I decided to try another one. The burger was good and had a bunch of flavor. And although my bun was toasted, it was cold. I ordered it medium and it was closer to rare. Which was fine for me as I hate over cooked hamburgers. I remembered their onions rings from the past were fantastic, so I replaced my fries with onion rings. The rings were fantastic and huge. They did not disappoint. My wife ordered the spicy bbq chicken sandwich. The chicken on the sandwich was a bit tough, and the bun was cold. but otherwise the sandwich was good. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, although some of the tables are small if you have more than 2 people. Also the temperature inside the restaurant was a bit cool. Overall a nice meal and I will probably go back.

Very cool place to check out! What a nice bartender, the second we walked in, everyone was just really nice bartender and patrons alike. Very welcoming. The atmosphere is dark and quiet in the bar area, at least when we went there, which I prefer.

All of their empanadas are great and you can get just one or a bunch. We often get some to take home. The Papas Rellenas is so good and so nicely priced. It is two mashed potato balls stuffed with Cuban picadillo, then breaded and fried to perfection. I love potatoes so I love to get this. We also take these home. They heat up so well. The service is great and they are very friendly. Parking is easy and there is not usually a wait. I am not sure if they take reservations, so call them and check. I ordered the Mar Y Tierra which is Rabo Encendido and shrimp served with rice, black beans, and plantains. The Rabo Encendido was actually quite spicy with a pronounced chile kick. (I am used to the dish being more on the savory side rather than spicy.) This was definitely a "tail on fire" experience. The oxtails were tender and plentiful in regard to portion size. There was a good mix of oxtail sizes. As the portion size was generous, there was plenty enough for three meals. Shrimp had a crisp, snappy texture which came with careful preparation in an alkaline solution. This was a good shrimp enhancement. There was an ample portion of shrimp in the dish as well. The black beans had a good flavor but the accompanying steamed white rice could have used a bit of seasoning to overcome the inherent blandness. Plantains were ripe and cooked tender with a caramelization on the edges. Mar Y Tierra was pricey at $49 but the generous portion size of the meal made it a good value. The restaurant itself was comfortable and understated in its decor. The outside patio is larger than the interior dining area. It was nice to dine outdoors in the patio. Service was good with friendly staff. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Parking is plentiful in the lot.

Our second visit was this Saturday and it was not planned. They had an open table for about an hour and a half between reservations which was more than enough time for us. All we really went in for was a couple drinks and snacks. We were a party of six and all ordered cocktails and grilled cheeses to share. Four of us ordered Old Fashions, including myself. I was incredibly disappointed by my drink as it tasted completely watered down. Although the grilled cheese was the star of the show for us last time, all of us couldn't have been more disappointed by this time. Great presentation but zero flavor. To be completely honest if you're charging $20 for a grilled cheese sandwich it should taste amazing. Sad to say six cocktails and three grilled cheeses later, with an over $200 bill, we left incredibly disappointed. I've had far better dining experiences for much less. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

The staff made us feel welcomed and valued throughout the entire evening. The food was absolutely outstanding. We started with the escargot and stuffed mushrooms--both were perfectly prepared and packed with rich, classic French flavor. My son had the filet mignon and lobster, which was cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed the lobster ravioli, creamy and indulgent, and the New York steak with bordelaise butter, which was savory and expertly prepared. What made the evening even more special was the owner. He was gracious, personable, and clearly passionate about his restaurant. You can truly feel his pride in every detail--from the quality of the food to the attentive service. It's rare to see an owner so involved and genuinely caring about each guest's experience. That first visit, where I enjoyed one of the finest preparations of Swordfish I've ever had, left an undeniable impression. You truly know a restaurant is exceptional when you rush back for a second taste. Today, we returned for brunch, and I can confirm: Le Chêne is not just excellent; it is consistently outstanding. The Culinary Journey: A Symphony of Flavors The brunch menu here is far from standard. It beautifully balances classic French elegance with satisfying, hearty offerings: * My Dish: Hungarian Goulash & Celery Soup. Moving from perfect seafood to a deeply satisfying meal, the Door Goulash was rich, tender, and perfectly seasoned--a truly comforting dish elevated to fine dining standards. Paired with the delicate, fresh flavor of the Celery Soup, it was the ideal combination of rustic and refined. * A Family Feast: The rest of the table was equally impressed. My daughter's Filet Mignon Eggs Benedict looked decadent, expertly marrying a classic brunch staple with luxurious, perfectly cooked tenderloin. My wife's Salmon Dish was vibrant and flaky, while my other daughter indulged in the superb Filet Mignon entree. Every plate was beautifully executed with precision. The Atmosphere: Timeless Charm and Rustic Elegance Le Chêne's ambiance is the perfect backdrop for a special occasion. The lighting is flattering, the French-inspired decor is sophisticated yet inviting, and the seating is comfortable. It manages to feel both celebratory and intimate--the kind of place where conversations flow easily, and time seems to slow down, allowing you to fully savor the experience. The Heart of Le Chêne: Meeting Owner Juan Alonso But the true magic lies in the hospitality. On our first visit, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Juan Alonso. His genuine passion for the craft, and the way he personally ensures every guest feels valued, is the beating heart of Le Chêne. It's clear this is not just a business; it's a commitment to excellence and community. Having the chance to chat and even grab a photo with him truly sealed the deal. Juan Alonso, thank you for the wonderful experience! Final Verdict: Whether you're seeking a special dinner, an elegant brunch, or just a place that offers incredible food and unmatched hospitality, put Le Chêne French Cuisine on your must-visit list. The consistent quality, timeless atmosphere, and personal touch make it a true local treasure. Highly, highly recommended.

Lovely spot for drinks and dinner in Santa Clarita…read more I was in the area running errands and decided to grab dinner nearby on a Thusday evening around 6:30 pm. I found this place on Yelp and dropped by for dinner. My party of 2 was seated immediately. Personally I thought the menus were hard to read. The gray lines in the background were quite dark and clashed with the actual menu items. My suggestion to the restaurant would be to reprint the menus with lighter background. They have an extensive cocktail menu with a lot of gin-based drinks. They also have good selection of wine and NA drinks as well, including some mocktails. I got the I'm Driving mocktail ($13), which I really liked. It had good passion fruit flavor without being too sour. Felt like a really nice tropical juice. My friend really liked his drink Bramblin' Man ($17), which had strong notes of bourbon and blackberry. I wasn't super hungry, but the braised short rib looked amazing so I got that for $43. It was very tender, but I personally found it bland especially on the inside. I asked for additional sauce so I could drench each bite in the sauce. My favorite part of the plate was surprisingly the potato croquette, which was perfectly crispy and well flavored. My friend got the chicken club ($23), which he enjoyed. I stole a bunch of his seasoned fries since they were so good. I would've loved to get dessert but was too stuffed. Next time!
