Cacio e pepe and meatballs

We sat at the bar at 40 Paper during their happy hour and it was an epic experience. The bartenders (Ben and Ryan) made it awesome. They provided thoughtful recommendations and even let us look through their whole drink bible to choose our cocktails from. The cocktails were very good, the vibes at the bar were great, and the food was incredible. We split small plates, which were very reasonably priced during happy hour and we thoroughly enjoyed each one. They were truly the best mussels I've ever had, the curry sauce was delicious. Everything was honestly really good and we can't wait to come back.

Love this place!!! Came for the happy hour and stayed for the great bartenders, company, and apps! The mussels were incredible and the drinks were also very good ! Can't wait to come back and sit at the bar !

Chocolate cake and gelato

Wanted to try a few dishes so we ordered from the small plate side of the menu. Everything tasted as described in the menu. Service was excellent. Local beer and cider selection is great to sample the locally produced alcohol.

There is no better place to get a cocktail in Camden than here. They take each ingredient super seriously without being overly pretentious about it. This is the best place in town to get a drink on Vacation while still rubbing elbows with the locals because they know this is the spot too. The food is delicious, and Ben, Hailey, and the rest of the bar stuff are beyond knowledgeable and welcoming. I can't recommend 40 Paper more highly, but I just hope my wife and I can always find a seat at the bar when we come up.

Beet salad on a bed of potatoes

That beet salad was great. Very quiet and pleasant dining experience. I also had the pork osso bucco and we shared a little dessert. An easy walk from the B&B we stayed in on Elm St.

Cool looking restaurant in a great area. Service was good. Would have liked to see more Italian offering vegetarian options on the menu.

During the first part of our visit, we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was friendly, we enjoyed meeting other patrons, including several Canadian Army veterans on a motorcycle tour, and the service from the initial bartender was excellent. We appreciated being allowed to play a complimentary game of pool. Unfortunately, the experience changed dramatically after the bartending shift change. From that point on, we felt unwelcome and believed staff chose to side with a small group of patrons during a disagreement rather than taking the time to understand the situation. Ultimately, we were asked to leave, which came as a complete surprise and left us feeling embarrassed and disappointed. What makes this especially frustrating is that we had spent a significant amount of money at the establishment and had been enjoying ourselves without issue for most of the evening. the way the situation was handled left us feeling dismissed and unfairly treated. Based on this experience, I would not return and don't recommend this establishment to other visitors.

This one is located in downtown Camden and offers some outdoor patio seating with great views. Sea Dog Brewing is by no means in talks of outstanding beers or brewery considering the far superior competition the state of Maine has. Even their most popular blueberry beer tastes much more artificial than you would hope. Sea Dog has been a brewery for a long while but I don't think they have kept up with the quality of craft beer you can find now. Now despite that negative talk overall about their beers I do believe most of the locations do offer quality pub food. You will find a variety of options including sandwiches/burgers, salads, pasta, soups, and more. It's a spot that everyone in your party including picky eaters will find something they want. It does have a lot of space available for dining. Service wise during our visit was alright. Ordering took awhile and time of seeing our server from one time to next took a little while. Food wise I went with Sesame Chicken Bowl and my wife got the Sautéed Lemony Chicken Piccata. Food was alright, my wife's chicken was quite dry. Overall I think it's an alright spot to grab a bite to eat when in Camden. You can likely find better spots but like I mentioned they do offer quite a variety here so give it a shot.
