Couple days later, I'm on the 405 at the 22, I hear a *THUNK* and see a piece of something in my rear view mirror fly off my car and nearly hit the one behind me. If you ever saw the end to the sci-fi movie "Serenity", you know what I'm talking about. When I get to my destination, sure enough, the exterior trim applique is missing. Shit! They don't make Saturns anymore and parts are worth a small mint. People tell me to chech out Pick Your Part, but I don't feel like wasting a day in a junkyard looking for a Saturn with the trim part I need. I go online and in less than ten minutes, I find this site, find the exact part I need and checkout. Easy, peezy, lemon-squeezie! $35.17 for the trim and a bolt, including (dammit!) $9 for shipping. At least the nice thing was that it only took my mechanically-inept ass five minutes to install the trim. Funny thing I learned...my Saturn uses a lot of Chevy parts. Go figure.

Danny not only listened to me talk about the issues I was dealing with (car wise). He spoke highly about another man named Melvin. Who just so happened to be a Mobile Mechanic. Danny gave me Melvin's number and he answered when I called or maybe I had to send him a text. Nevertheless Melvin let me know that he's a RELIABLE, Trustworthy, and decent person. He told me, He'd be able to come and see what was actually happening with my ride. Because he was gonna be in the area. Twenty minutes later Melvin was calling to let me know he was outside parked by my ride. That's what's lacking in today's society. There's so many weasels out here in the world. He explained to me what was actually going on with my car without charging me $179 like Christian Brothers had done a few days before still Smdh about keeping that appointment. It's definitely a learning experience for me as a woman. Never jump to go to the first mechanic without searching around for possibilities. Thanks to Melvin I didn't have to spend $4000.00. I'm thankful for his Service and Knowledge of mechanics. If you're ever in need of a reliable, honest, and professional person to work on your car without charging crazy Assessment fees, and off the wall Diagnostic fees. Then Melvin's the guy...tell em' I sent cha. Lol

When i finally spoke with technician he was fine but the work order didn't line up with our conversation and things were marked as discussed that were definitely not. When looking at some of their vehicles online, I submitted a quote for a potential trade-in, just in case. It does state that someone will call you regarding your trade, which was fine. I used my Google number for that reason. My issue: They have called, and have sent multiple texts since filling out the form on Monday. From that time to the current (4 days), I have received 14 calls/texts. Who does that? They, do. Crazy thing is, the calls and texts came from four different people, FOUR. Do they not keep track of who is handling a potential client and allow only that person to follow up? Also, if you're calling and texting the same person, after contacting them 14 times, why are you still attempting to contact that person? I'm happy I used my Google number; I would have been very upset if they were doing this on my actual phone. This is unacceptable, and I will definitely not be using their services when I'm ready to make a purchase.

Before purchasing, I asked the salesperson a very specific question: If this battery fails within the 2-year free replacement window and I receive a new battery, does the new battery come with a fresh 2-year warranty? I was told "Absolutely." To be certain, I asked to speak to the store manager, and received the same answer. In May 2025, just six months later, the battery completely failed. I went to the AutoZone on Ross Avenue to replace it (because that was the closest store to where it died). When I explained what I had been told about the warranty resetting, I was met with a completely different response. I was told flat-out that the warranty does not restart and was treated with condescension for even suggesting otherwise. No attempt was made to explain the discrepancy--just rude and dismissive behavior. At this point, I'm unsure which store gave me incorrect information--but one of them clearly did. I was very clear when I asked my question at the time of purchase, and I relied on the answer I was given when making the decision to buy. The battery failing after only six months is disappointing enough on its own. But being told different things by two separate AutoZone locations--and being treated poorly in the process--is unacceptable. I expect consistency from a national chain, especially when it comes to warranty terms that directly affect the customer's rights and expectations.
