I have been deceived and cheated by your company and I want to know if you can rectify my situation, or do I need to pursue other avenues available to me. First the history. After a whole lot of Due Diligence and a process that took me months, I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup, at your Friendly Chevrolet Dealership on May 25, 2019. I received a statement that charged me more for the vehicle than I had agreed to or understood that I was paying. I would like to resolve the issue with you or your company, professionally. I was introduced to Paola Iriori Gallegos through one of my patients, Mr. John Sanchez. Paola Iriori Gallegos is your employee and she in turn referred me to Paola Jazmin Galicia (hereon referred to as P.J.G.), salesperson, to help me purchase my dream pickup truck (hereon referred to as vehicle). After I had exchanged a few emails with P.J.G. I agreed to buy my vehicle for a total sum of $42,254.34 (all-inclusive with Tax, Title and License). I repeatedly said that is the way I want to do business. Give me the bottom line, bottom dollar or in other words what used to be called "Drive off the lot" price. Some people refer to this as OTD or "Out the Door" price. We made a deal and I texted P.J.G. that I would pick up the truck on May 25, 2019. On that day my brother in law, Dr. Liem Nguyen, and I came to pick up the truck, P.J.G told us the truck would be $42,888.99 because of a transportation fee that your Dealership had incurred. She explained she had to pick it up at another dealership, James Wood Chevrolet. I hesitated than agreed to buy the truck at $42,888.99 total, (including tax, title, transportation fee and license). She told me that I had to sign some paperwork. She never mentioned anything other than the $42,888.99 total cost I agreed verbally to pay. I had no hesitation to sign because I trusted her words and intent and the reputation of your Dealership. Then, she transferred me to Sam Almanza, in your finance department. I have video where, Mr. Sam Almanza never explained or mentioned to me the total cost of the vehicle. I kept asking Sam Almanza the total cost (All inclusive) of the vehicle, but he avoided answering. On the video clip, it shows him manipulating his statements to avoid telling me the total cost of the Vehicle. He had me sign a lot of paperwork on the computer screen. When I signed the paperwork, I told him that I would like to pay off the vehicle. He told me that I did not have to pay it off, just wait for the billing statement. I never thought that Sam Almanza was being deceptive and dishonest with me until I received the statement. I was in shock. I agreed to buy the vehicle for $42,888.99 total, (all-inclusive, tax, title, license, transportation fee, "drive off the lot", OTD). But I added my down payment, to the statement and it came to a grand total of $52,888.99. A total of $10,000.00 more than I agreed to pay. Sam Almanza was dishonest and cheated me out of, $10,000.00 more than what I agreed and thought I was paying. I would like for you to review the history and if you agree, honor the $42,888.99 total price I agreed too. Mr. Sam Almanza was deceptive and dishonest in his treatment of me and has me paying far more than I ever agreed to for the vehicle at $52,888.99. He never offered nor did he itemize the cost of the vehicle, as others, like him, had done at other dealerships, for me. If he ever mentioned that I was paying a penny over $42,888.99, you would have still had the truck in your possession, and I would have gone elsewhere, hopefully to a more honest dealership, to purchase my new truck. I am blaming P.J.G. and Mr. Sam Almanza for this situation and I am saying your company has betrayed the trust I put in your company, to this point. Every business grows because of referrals. I trusted your employee, Paola Iriori Gallegos, who referred me to P.J.G. I trusted P.J.G, to guide and lead me through the process in an open, honest, and ethical manner. I treated her as I wanted to be treated. That is why I am shocked at the lack of integrity of these people and your dealership. I am a businessman myself and I own two Dental Clinics. I can assure you that you nor anyone would get treated this way in either of my two clinics. I believe I have been taken advantage of and I expect you to make this right. Not only because I know you can but, because of your long history, since 1956 of doing so. If you want the video showing that Sam Almanza was not honest and up front with me, I will gladly provide you one of my copies. I have a USB memory stick with contracts and copies of the video, as well as images of the check, American Express credit card receipt, and all P.J.G and Friendly Chevrolet correspondence and e-mails. read more

An alarming level of incompetence, malevolence towards customers, and dishonesty - in the Service Department. Friendly's Service Department damaged my vehicle, evaded accountability, refused to respond to dozens of emails and phone calls to multiple members of the organization of the course of months, and drained coolant from my A/C system in order to tell me that my evaporator needed replacement (it didn't). Fortunately, a third party inspection proved my evaporator was fine. Stay away at costs! I wonder if Mark will respond to this review like he does so many of the others on Yelp with a comment like "We're so sorry you did not have an excellent experience. Please contact Ronnie, Danny, or Suzanne" in an effort to push me off to someone else who will ignore me. But guess what? I've already called and emailed Ronnie, Danny, Suzanne, and Mark himself. No responses in three months! How's that for service service from the Service Department? On two separate occasions, Friendly caused damage to my vehicle and would not repair this damage. 1) Steering column failure. On Saturday, 5/18, my 2016 Tahoe would not start. I towed the vehicle on Monday 5/20 and dropped it off at 3PM Monday afternoon. I followed up on Tuesday with Friendly service department to see what the status was. It took six calls (including five wherein I was told someone would call me back but didn't) before I got you on the phone and got an update on the vehicle. It wasn't until the morning of Saturday, 5/27 that the vehicle was repaired. I was told it was a rare failure in the steering column. 2) Friendly causes incremental damage (SERVICE: DRIVER ASSIST) and won't address. The first time I started the car after leaving the Friendly lot on 5/21, I got a new service light SERVICE: DRIVER ASSIST on the display. I'd never seen this service light before. It was clearly caused by the repair process on the steering column the prior week. I dropped off the Tahoe again on Tuesday 5/28 to get this new issue addressed. I called four times that day looking for an update on the cause of the issue. The service reps I spoke to effectively informed me that there was no diagnosis. I can only assume that's because the techs never looked at the vehicle. I picked up the vehicle several days later and it had not been diagnosed or repaired. 3) Friendly causes further incremental damage (A/C) and won't address. I picked up the vehicle on Thursday, 5/30, after Friendly's non-repair of the SERVICE light as I was embarking on a cross-country drive the following day. Throughout the two and a half days the vehicle was in Friendly's shop, no one called me to let me know what the issue was with the SERVICE: DRIVER ASSIST light or how it would be repaired. I left the lot 5/30 to find the primary problem I'd dropped the vehicle for had not been addressed (the service light was still on) but now the A/C wasn't working at all. When I dropped it off two days prior, I'd asked them to check to see if the air was cool enough. When I picked it up, it was blowing hot air. Friendly's service department told me I needed to replace the evaporator for a cost of $1500-2000. I then take the vehicle to another Chevy dealer to check on the need for an evaporator replacement. After an extensive examination including pressuring up the coolant system, UV leak detection, and gas leak detection, this 3rd party inspector found no issues with the evaporator. The vehicle's coolant system was drained while on the Friendly lot and I was told it needed an expensive repair. Is there a term for a service provider damaging a customer's asset in hopes of generating extra revenue for an unnecessary repair? 4) No communication or accountability. According to my phone records, I've logged nearly 30 calls in to Friendly since the initial steering column failure in mid-May. I've attempted to speak to service reps, Ronnie, and Danny - all of whom avoided communication with me. It is exceedingly difficult to speak to anyone in the service organization at all. I believe I've ultimately received one call from Ronny and one from Danny in response to repeated inquiries. After this latest incident in which Friendly did not fix the SERVICE: DRIVER ASSIST light and caused new damage to my A/C, I've called Danny twice and sent him several emails. Finally, I reached out to Suzanne Devine, Director of Operations in an effort to resolve. Over the course of 6 emails, Suzanne avoided my requests to schedule a phone call to discuss resolution or my requests that Friendly address the damage they'd caused. Mark Eddins? Emailed him as well and absolutely zero response. Future Service Department customers: beware of the risks involved in procuring Friendly's services. Let's face it, When you think of going to a car dealer to purchase a new vehicle, You prepare yourself for all the games most of them play. There's the "I need your keys to check the mileage on your trade-in" or the "Let me see your I.D. so we can run your credit". ... Then once they have your keys and drivers license, just try to get them back before they've pressured you into a car and a payment nearly $200 more than you budgeted for. THERE WAS N-O-N-E of that with FRIENDLY CHEVROLET in Dallas Texas !!!! I walked in, spoke frankly to the sales man asking him to shoot from the hip with me, and we discussed what I wanted and what kind of payment I wanted to have. When you tell a dealer what we want our monthly payment to be, You can pretty much guarantee that what they're going to come back to you with is going to be a couple of hundred higher. This way when you tell them there's no way you can make a $550 car note each month, it won't sound so bad when they pressure you into a $400 payment instead. That's why as buyers, we tell them between $50-$100 less than what we expect will be the payment we can afford. ........ Does all of this sound familiar??? WELL FORGET all of that hassle when you go to Friendly Chevrolet !!!! ... I mean it, This place is a car buyer's dream. It's the way car buying SHOULD be. I walked in, told them what I was looking for, what kind of a payment I could afford, and exactly what they could expect when they ran my credit. ... And oh yeah, I knew I would have a couple thousand added to my new purchase as I was still upside down in my trade-in. Josh (My Sales Man) worked to get me exactly what I wanted, and what I would be happy with. But in the end, I was setting the bar too low ... yes LOW !!! I never thought I would be able to drive out of there in a car that I was the first owner of, AND it was absolutely loaded with options I thought I would never be able to afford. I went in looking for a Used car, and I qualified for a used car. But once we found one, The finance manager came out and told me he also had a brand new car he could sale me for the same price. He asked me if that was something I would be interested in looking at or did I want to go ahead with the used purchase? ..... Absolutely no pressure, just an offer if I wanted to take it. I test drove the NEW car and even though Josh had gained my trust (Which I do not freely give to car salesmen) ... I questioned the sincerity of the finance manager who was saying I could get this great upgrade for the same price and payment. .. AND by buying a NEW car, I would get extra perks like free car washes for life, 10 oil changes in 5 years, and more. In the end, I got an AWESOME car that even my closet friends could not believe I was able to qualify, with a car buying experience like no other car I've ever purchased, at a payment that was $5 LESS than what I was paying on my now 10 year old trade-in. Anyone who's serious about buying a new car owes it to themselves to go see Josh at Friendly Chevrolet in Dallas. ... I really felt that Josh was there to find what I was looking for at the price I was willing to pay. Josh worked extra hard for me. My credit isn't the best, but I do have a strong car buying credit. ... BUYER or REPAIR BEWARE! I bought a NEW truck 7 months a go and had Friendly Chevy put a 6 inch lift on it. It paid an extra $15,000 for it. I was driving it one day and it started making a terrible rubbing noise. I IMMEDIETELY drove it home. Called Friendly Chevy, I asked told them what happened and they gave me a number to call to have it towed. They told me the towing would be covered under the warranty. Had the towing company tow it an hour later. Friendly called me Monday morning telling me I HIT SOMETHING & they were going to charge me $10,000 to fix it. I immediately left work and went up there to speak to the manager. The machanic, service supervisor LOUIS, and the service lady were all there and we were looking at my truck when they said it happened because I hit something. There was a gouge in my right front tire that WASNT there when the tow truck towed it to the dealership. The supervisor then blamed the tow truck company for the gouge. I called the tow truck company and the manager JOE called the driver that towed my truck. He said that the driver said the the gouge WAS NOT THERE when he picked up and dropped off the truck at the dealership. The machanic then admitted that it WAS a faulty sway bar. The surpevisor then told me to give him 3-4 days to handle it. I waited 5 days. Then I called everyday, for them to tell me the body shop was handling it, then machanics were off work, the supervisor was off work, always something. Then they said they were waiting on a phone call from the lift company to take responsiblity. Finally the 13th day, I called the lift company, PROCOMP myself and they confirmed that the lift DID have a lifetime warranty on it. Here I am 14 days later with no truck fixed, I went to have my vehicle towed somewhere else because I need my truck fixed, and they ARE charging me $254 for the tow that they said would be covered under my warranty. I called the SAME tow truck company, and they said it was only $125 to have it towed. So not only are they charging me DOUBLE for the tow, they put a gouge in my tire to make it look like I hit something, when I didnt. I had to call the police and make a report for the gouge in my tire and have my truck towed to a company that will fix it and treat me with respect, like a HUMAN BEING. I have contacted my attorney and I will be filing a suit with Friendly Chevy for the scam they have pulled on me. If anyone out there has had similar problems, PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY to take action. (I had the video that I will put on Youtube to prove that he was wording around the contract, and he covered the price out price with paperwork ). SAM ALMANZA GAVE ME 7.2% INTEST RATE while my CREDIT SCORE WAS 810. (I was shocked with high interest rate). I told SAM ALMANZA that I would pay it off right away with my check. He tricked me saying that I could pay off when I received the invoice in the mail. SAM ALMANZA GAVE ME THE UBS AND SAID "THAT IS MY CONTRACT". I WAS TOTALLY NOT AWARED PAOLA AND SAM ALMANZA TRICKED ME. IF YOU ASK MY WHY???? BECAUSE I RESPECTED and TRUSTED the PERSON WHO REFERRED ME TO THEM. Business is built by referral and recommendation. I was in shock when I received the invoice that I put $10,000 down and I still had to pay $42,888.99. I came to the dealer and asked them why they tricked me $10,000 more. The Simple answer they gave me was I signed the paperwork already. This is really a big SCAM that I ever had. It is devastating for me and my family that we live on budget planning. I am FOR SURE that I am not the FIRST Victim of these SCAM, SCAM ARTIST, FIXING PRICES: SAM ALMANZA, and PAOLA JAZMIN GALICIA. ALL I HOPE THAT THEY CAN SLEEP WELL EVERY NIGHT KNOWING THAT THEY TRICKED A LOT OF CUSTOMERS FOR HIGHER INTEREST RATE, OR TRICKED THEM TO PAY HIGHER, OR In my case, subtracting down payment to give me OTD (taking advance of my language barrier, and my trust in referral) HE IS LESS A HUMAN BEING THAN THE HOMELESS in front of the dealership. LOOKING FOR A CAR EXPERIENCE: I went into Friendly Chevrolet with no intention of buying a vehicle that day. Lawrence was my salesman. He was very friendly (living up to the name) and honest (yes, an honest car salesman!). I have bought a vehicle from a different Chevrolet dealership and got absolutely taken advantage of, so having Lawrence as my salesman, was refreshing. I went back and forth and was unsure if I wanted the truck or not and I was told by Lawrence and the manager (I forget his name) to go home and think about it because they didn't want me to think I got taken advantage of, if I drove off with the truck. This was awesome of them. What car dealer lets you leave to think about it?? Normally they want you to make a rash decision just so they can make some money! I went home and thought about it and went back the next night to purchase the vehicle. BUYING EXPERIENCE: Once I went in to sign for the truck, everything worked pretty fast. I was signing paperwork the minute I walked through the door. I was then told to go talk to a lady about adding additions to the truck and signing up for the Chevy app. This lady was SO rude, but I'm not going to say much more about her because from what I understand, she got fired a couple days after. I then talked to another lady about insurance, which I wasn't interested in since I have been with Progressive for so long. Then I went to talk to the finance man, Damian, which I was nervous about. Damian was super nice, but I did have a small issue with him. He gave me a 6.79% interest, with an 800 credit score. I was approved through a bank (before car shopping) with a 2.9%. I went ahead and accepted this rate because I had planned to refinance anyway and I wanted the bonus cash off my truck price, but I still can't help but feel a little taken advantage of in that part of the deal. Also, I decided I no longer wanted my warranty on my car and wanted to cancel it. I tried to email Damian multiple times and it was almost like he no longer wanted anything to do with me. That was a little annoying as well. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: I absolutely love my truck and I feel like I received a very good price on it. My salesman was awesome. If I had to do it all over, I would. I will be going back to Friendly Chevrolet to get my next vehicle. read more

My experience with Friendly Chevrolet was incredible. By far the best customer service experience I have received in quite sometime. I worked with the sales rep Mike Crandall who went above and beyond the call of duty. I would recommend my friends, family, and even strangers to buy their cars from him. I had anticipated on receiving a settlement that was delayed for a month and Mike during that time kept in touch with me. He even went as far as to the send me a video recording of the car I wanted to purchase. Sadly, the vehicle was sold the day before I came into the dealership to buy it. Somewhat disappointed Mike showed me an even better car and offered to order another one like the one that was sold if I didn't like what was available. I actually like the other car better. After purchasing the vehicle I was able to have their concierge explain to me how to use the wonderful technology. The other sales rep congratulated me on my purchase and even took pictures of the car. (I added some rims)! After some days have passed Mike called me to see how I liked the vehicle and if there was anything he could do. After a week of driving the car I noticed some minor things that needed to be fixed and was told to bring the car right in and received a loaner. What took the cake and put the icing on top was Mike noticed my car in the service area and called to see if everything was all right and if the service guys were taking care of my needs. Not tell me that's not magnificent customer service. I know often times Car salesman get a bad name, but Mike has definitely changed my mind on the car buying experience. It doesn't have to be a headache, stressful, and nerve wrecking if you're working with the right guy! In the future I would come back to Friendly Chevrolet to purchase vehicles and hopefully Mike will still be around. The service manager, Rich Hoch, service rep. Robert Bales, and service tech John Cutler are all professional, friendly, and went above and beyond "the call of duty" in assisting me with a major repair job [okay... replacing an engine is about as major as it gets, right?!]. Robert was able to get a full refund from a service warranty center (for poor service work previously performed that lead to the need for the new engine) to offset the cost of the needed replacement. As well as offering a discount on the hourly labor costs! Thanks Robert Rich offered an additional 10% discount for the costs, as he was aware that I'd been unemployed for over a year, and understood that I was in this situation through no fault of my own. He went above and beyond in making contact with the previous shop owner to try and recover payment, as well as contact the corporate office for the warranty provider [NAPA]. And John, for being patient enough with me to explain the damage caused by the previous improper service work, allowing me to take extensive photos of the damaged engine, and putting me at ease as he explained the process of the replacement of the engine. He also agreed to hold onto the damaged engine for future claim against the original service center. All and all this service department did everything in their power to assist me in making a wrong right again!!! They showed a level of integrity that is sorely lacking these days. Just had a great car buying experience at Friendly Chevrolet with sales guy Fredy Tabora. My car was literally pushed into Friendly when the clutch went out. Fredy went out of his way to help me get where I needed to go that night and then the next day buying an 2018 Trax. Fredy is the nicest, friendliest salesperson I've ever bought a car from - and I'm an old guy who has now bought 21 cars in my life. Everyone at Friendly Chevrolet was awesome - Sales Mgr. Alex, Finance Guru Sammy, and everyone else I interacted with. I highly recommend Fredy and Friendly - why should buying a car be stressful? Update 5/12/18 I had the above car 15 days and got hit; the car was totaled. The first person I called from the wreck was my sales guy Fredy to tell him I was having the car towed. He took care of everything from then on - got me a loaner for the night and helped me with everything until the car was totaled and then with the claims paperwork and finally getting an identical Trax at another awesome price. Sammy in Finance, Doug and Gus in Collision, and Alex Reyes also went overboard working to help me get back to normal. By now, I feel like Friendly is family - I'll never buy a car from anyone else. My oil change took 2.5 hours and I arrived at 6:45am. I asked my service person to check on my brake light because it was out and I needed it fixed in order to pass the state inspection. After my oil change no one came and talked to me about the light or an estimate to fix it. I had to ask 3 times to finally get an estimate and time frame to complete the repair. My experience was so poor I decided not to get the repair done at Friendly and go to another Chevy dealership. No one came and spoke to me about my oil change or how my car is doing either which is just a mess. The sad part is this isn't the first or second time this has happened! This has happened with my tires AND my air filter! Awful service! Terrible in fact! At this point I only go to Friendly because the oil change is free otherwise I would never return or recommend this dealership to anyone else and I may as well change this anyway! I would rather pay $70 every 4-5 months and have a quick oil change with good customer service than deal with those rude unconcerned service advisers. And I am sure you will read and this not think twice about it and I am sure the bad service won't change. I was on a cross country road trip in my Corvette (from California). I was passing through Dallas when I needed my oil changed. I called and they politely told me they could take me and it would take about an hour. I came right over and they did take me immediately. My car was done within the hour and to my surprise, they even washed and vacuumed my car. I was back on the road in an hour. The facility was very clean and the employees were very polite and helpful. I was impressed by the multiple waiting areas in this dealership. You could have a meal in one area (there is a full kitchen), you can watch TV in another area, you can connect online and work remotely in another area or you could just sit quietly and catch up on some reading in yet another area. When my vehicle was ready, they did not call my name on the intercom as I would have suspected, a young lady found me and completed my transaction where I was sitting. I am still uncertain how she knew who I was from all the other folks there but I was very impressed. I wish they (Friendly Chevrolet) were located in my town Glendora, California. In fact, I wish other dealers were more like this, it would make servicing a car so much easier. I plan to visit this dealer every time I roll through Dallas!!! read more

Full disclosure: I did not buy a car here. I did not service a car here. And I don't know that I will because I am seeking a used Honda. This review is not for the dealership ( as I have never gone there), but for a specific salesperson. Jaz diligently searched for what I wanted. She was also super informative and helpful and showed me alternatives but only after she asked if I wanted to see them. When she knew she didn't have what I wanted, she gave me the direct contact for the manager at another dealership! She set me up and told him what I was looking for so I didn't have to start from square one at yet ANOTHER dealership. In a world of used car salessharks (and lets be honest, the reason we despise the car buying process is because of lecherous salespeople who are pushy and don't listen and only want the sale) Jaz sticks out as the EXACT opposite. I have been to 9 dealerships. NINE. I know exactly what I want, I ask for it and usually the creeps swirl and try to push something else on me. Until I spoke with Jaz, I don't believe I was taken seriously a single time. She is a GEM and I wish wish wish I wanted what she was selling. If you want to deal with Friendly, just ask for her.
