4 Paws Community Center has been a second home for my "sister" aka my mom's dog for many years... When my mom travels, 4 Paws is always where Lulu goes and she loves it there. The staff has been communicative and taken good care of Lulu and their pricing is affordable - especially compared to what I've seen in Arizona for my two (bigger) dogs. On a recent unexpected trip, Lulu was able to stay at 4 Paws longer than initially planned and we so appreciated knowing that she was in good hands for this extended stay. I've been going to 4Paws for many years. The employees are top-notch. They love the fur babies & are super nice to the fur parents. I appreciate their willingness to help me get my big (80 LB) baby (less than a year) into the car when she's stubborn....which is most of the time. Also love the cute seasonal decorating. My friends dog was being dragged around by dogs much larger than her. She would run away and the other dogs would pick her back up and toss her around and tease her. It wasn't until my friend watched their camera system and had to call to have them remove her from the play yard. Really sad. read more

The facility deleted my review from google reviews, don't trust the 4.6 star rating they have on there, given they just get rid of the negative posts. Would like to share information about this facility from second hand experience via my roommate who was an employee here for a short time. Staff are hired in, experience or no experience, and are instantly put on the job. There is no staff training. Dogs are put into kennels with no identification of who is who! And they take the collar off, nobody in the facility knows what dog they are even handling. They also put many large and small dogs into a play group outside unsupervised by any staff (door shut) while they are prepping the yard, or if staff needs a break to use the restroom, nobody replaces them. 1 single person handling a yard of up to 20 large dogs. Better yet when a fight breaks out (it inevitably will), the employees are given no resources to protect themselves, no citronella spray, no tennis rackets. This is a complete disregard for animal and worker safety. They are expected to use their own bodies to break up dog fights, which results into staff getting bitten and attacked by the dogs due to redirection. Ask any other dog day care in the area what they have to stop/prevent dog fights in group sessions. These are standard necessities, and with basic training knowledge, management would know to provide these. Management is too cheap to even own a dumpster. Staff has to dump 5 pound buckets of dog poop down the work indoor toilet. Yup, definitely clogs too. They have mice due to extreme unsanitary conditions, animal kennels are not required to be cleaned after every animal. Group play yards are NOT disinfected, and half the dogs, if it more, are not fully vaccinated. At least 3 weeks of the dogs food is left out in bowls, uncovered. The same room as the staff kitchen, where mice are habitant, and yes, management is aware. Not only that, but intact males are allowed in group together, and unsterilized females are also allowed in groups with them. This makes the experience completely awful for some of these dogs due to hyper focused humping the entire session. This place should not be allowed to care for dogs, let alone be open. They're breaking many guidelines in regards to cleanliness standards and general animal safety. read more

This place could be better. It's dirty and smells. I was extremely disappointed that they do not turn cameras on during the weekend and the only reason can be that they don't do a damn thing with the dogs. I never heard of such a stupid policy that they turn the cameras off on the weekend. I never noticed this when I read the policy or my dog would have never gone there. I was unsettled leaving my dog and could not wait to get him out of there. Plus, they charge $75 for one overnight. I will never go back. read more

We have boarded our cats in their "Cat Condo" 2 times. While our boys came home healthy & happy, the cat area was not clean. The condos themselves were clean, but the room where they were & where they played really needs a thorough cleaning. It was dirty enough that I felt uncomfortable leaving them & when we picked them up 3 wks later, it was exactly the same - nothing had been done in the interim. However, the staff was really nice & accommodating & was able to attend to the cats 'senior' needs & meds. I really like everyone there - just clean a little better! read more

I am certain I have reviewed 4 Paws previously but for some reason my review is not here any longer. The reason I'm certain is that we have used very regularly for 3 years and highly recommend 4 Paws. When we first moved to the area we were so concerned about the quality of day care/boarding that we personally visited 8 area kennels. I loved 4 Paws but was initially worried about the setting and lack of lawn so we tried another place in a more rural area. Mistake. Our dog came home with mites and a skin infection that the vet said was common to that type of setting an recommended a kennel w/artificial lawn specifically made for a board/daycare type facility. Bingo! That's what 4 Paws has and when researching it found that it is more hygienic and safer for dogs to play on. I went back by the location at various times of day to see what it's like at various times and still liked. The intake paperwork is extensive - that's good because our sweet rescue girl is a big fraidy-cat and gets anxious around other dogs. When I discussed it all with Linda (owner) and her staff and then tried them out, our baby was happy to come the next time. She would pull away and resist at the other place. They baby her as if she were their own dog. Since then we have boarded her there as much as monthly due to our travel schedule. Anywhere from 3 days to 10 days and everything has always gone well. We have never had one problem while there and it is a great relief to us to be SURE that she's well looked after and her sensitive temperament is always kept in mind. I notice a very negative review on here as well and was really surprised. I have never had that experience and one of the reasons I keep our dog here is because of the cleanliness. Bad day? Perhaps. If it were that way we wouldnt have stayed so long. The staff also reminds me of her vaccinations more timely than our own vet. When I have used the doggie daycare, I have been just as satisfied. Every time I am there I see the regulars dropping off and picking up their dogs and everyone looks very happy - especially the dogs who would just barrel on in and down the hall if they were allowed. If you cant tell already, we're very pleased with 4 Paws Community Center and so is our princess poochess! read more

We have been using 4 Paws for boarding and occasional day visits for the past few years. We are impressed that the staff has changed very little over the time we have been going and most of them know our dog when she comes in the door. Their facility is always clean and they seem to not only do their jobs, but love the animals that come through their doors. I would highly recommend them for your pet. read more

I was not very satisfied with this kennel at all. I first get there and drop my dog off to board for 4 days and ask about the cameras, they say "we don't have the cameras on during the weekends" and he then continues to say "because they don't do group play on the weekend". I left so confused but was hoping for the best as we had to leave. I did not get to see my dog on anything the whole weekend which was scary! I had no idea if she was okay, getting the exercise she needed and what not. So the weekday finally came and I could see the cameras and not once did I see these people play with ANY dog. The only time I seen a dog on the camera was when they would go and let the dog outside and they'd shut the door and aren't even out with them or playing with them. I do not think my dog got any exercise at all, since I did not see her on the camera at all the whole day and I was constantly checking! We left our trip early to go get our dog because we didn't want her their any longer then she had to be. We picked our dog up and as soon as we got outside she has to go to the bathroom (#2)! It takes my dog about 2 hours to have to go #2 which means she was not taken out for more than 2 hours! As far as I see, it doesn't seem like they truly care about these dogs nor giving them exercise. I understand that it might've been too hot for them to be outside but there was never any dogs playing inside either.. Overall, I will not be taking my dog here ever again since she needs exercise because of having so much energy and she needs people who actually care about her.. read more

I'll make this one short. I REALLY like four paws. Your dog is socialized (with a group appropriate for your dog's temperment-our dog is medium size, but is afraid of larger dogs) and TIRED when you get them home-which is a great thing when you have a high energy dog. My only complaint is that my dog (and I have numerous friends that use 4 paws that I have picked up their dog) is always stinky, dirty when I pick her up. I would highly recommend 4 paws, but your dog will need a bath when you get them home. read more

Been coming here for over 3 years now having told about 6 friends how great they were, but in the last year they seem disorganized, taking too many dogs over the holidays and I've been really disappointed. I've been over charged FOUR times for boarding, requested a bath after a week stay but my dog never received one, on TWO occasions. The owners and staff are super nice but these things shouldn't happen. I do think its clean and my dog is in good hands, most importantly...just hoping things will improve. read more

I just want to give a negative star if it is possible. When I went there for facility visit they were totally forgot about I made a reservation. Also the worst part is my dog got canal cough after dog boarding here. My dog never get sick after other dog boarding (And he was healthy before I put him there, I don't know how they treated him) and I spent a lot of money for his vet visit. I called to report this, I wouldn't expect anything but yes there was nothing but sorry blaming on weather and dog condition. I would never use this place anymore for my dog's boarding. read more

Since this facility is on my way to work, it seemed like a perfect fit, however I was disappointed and concerned on my first visit when they put my 6 month old puppy out with the group stayed for a couple of minutes, then left her there alone with the other dogs. I was standing in the lobby watching on the camera, so I asked and was told that they don't have staff to watch the dogs until 9 A.M. and that they were able to see via the camera. Well, sorry but it only takes a second for a fight to break out. The entire staff was busy with people coming in, so I don't know how they were going to watch. Despite my concerns, I took her a few more times. The last time I took her, I checked on her via the webcam at around noon and found most of the dogs, including her were not in the yard, but I understand they are taken out to rest for an hour or so each day, so didn't worry. I continued to check the webcam periodically until a little after 3 P.M. I saw they were putting the dogs back out. During that entire time (at least each time I checked) the dogs who were out were hanging by the door because there was no one out with them. Someone would pop their head in the door for a few seconds during that time I guess to check on them, but no one was supervising them. When I arrived to pick my girl up, I asked if there had been a problem with her, then asked why she was locked up in a kennel for at least 3 hours, and why there was no one supervising the dogs. I was told that she was "sleeping" and they didn't want to disturb her, and that the person that was supposed to be supervising them had been back there the whole time. They were defensive that I was questioning them and basically dismissed me and my concerns. The person supervising them may have been in the back, but she was not out with the dogs. My dog is high energy and needs to be socializing and playing, which is why I pay for day care while I'm at work. If I wanted her locked in a kennel, I could leave her in her crate at home for free. We haven't been back there since. read more

I highly reccomend this facility ! I have tried several in the local area -but their staff is the MOST interactive with their boarders and also understanding of their needs whenbeing in a strange enviroment. I have a cat that is terminal and needs medications 2x day and can be tempermental as well due to his illness - and I have NEVER has a concern about his needs not being met by him being boarded there when I travel. I can also call and they are more than willing to talk w/me and give me an update on how he's doing w/med, eating etc. - it is very reassuring to know they understand my concerns...and address his care as I would and do. When bringig him home he readjusts very quickly - unlike times at other facilities, so I know he was comfortable while he was boarded here. Best kept secret in the area ! read more

I love 4 Paws, but even more importantly, my dog loves to go to 4 Paws. I take her there once a week for "day camp" and have boarded her twice. The staff is terrific and there's enough space for play. My very energetic dog comes home tired after a day of socializing, and that's exactly what she needs. I also have her grooming done at 4 Paws, and she comes home looking like a million bucks. read more

My dogs have gotten sick there twice and required veterinary attention. The owner would do nothing to reimburse me for our trouble. The place is fine to get your dog groomed, but I would not recommend allowing them to stay for a long period of time. read more

I started off really liking 4paws community center. The women and staff were very nice and accomodating, but then problems arised. I discovered one day after my dog was picked up he couldn't walk on his front leg as I discovered that another dog had bit his leg...none of the staff said anything to me and when I confronted them about the mysterious bite they said that my dog had provoked the situation. I gave the staff and Linda the owner the benefit of the doubt and they were kind enough to reimburse my vet bill. However, today as I recently downloaded the app ODOGGY that allows you to watch your dog on your smartphone I could not seem to find my dog playing. I immediately called the center and they told me over the phone that my dog was put in a side area with no camera, because he was snippy with other dogs. Having socialized my dog since he was almost three months old I found this hard to believe. But what made me said is that they removed him the whole day and put him in a place with no camera where I can see that my dog is ok...for 25 dollars a day I find this unacceptable. I also feel that they should give owners a report of any behavior that may be problematic. I am disappointed right now and will not be taking my dog back here. The play areas I think are too small which cause too much stimulation and chaos. read more
