Back when I lived on a 40-acre ranch in Northern California, I had plenty of space and other dogs around to help with the process. When my wife and I were fostering dogs in Michigan, she fell in love with a Miniature Pinscher mix named Obi. He was different from any dog I'd trained before, and without other dogs to help with training, it was a challenge. We needed Obi to be able to travel the world with us and assist my wife with her PTSD. Within six weeks, Fred from The Dog Wizard trained us on how to make Obi an incredible companion. The transformation was night and day. Now, Obi walks calmly by our side unless given the 'free' command. He accompanies us to stores, ignoring everything and everyone around him. One of his biggest issues was reacting to other dogs on leash--no longer a problem! Recently, we visited a crowded cider mill with hundreds of kids running around.
