This was a perfect experience. Very fast and without issue. I was able to stop in without an appointment. The smog check took less than 10 minutes. Be sure to bring cash. read more

Great place! I called with a Groupon before I went and they told me to come in right away. The smog was very quickly and the service was friendly. I will definitely be going back there again!!! read more

Super awesome service going on here! Second time I've had my smog test done and it passed both times. In and out in less than 10 minutes too. If you're in the east bay and need your car smog checked it bring it here. read more

I called ahead with my yelp discount and the mechanic said 15 minutes. When I got there, he had two cars to do before mine and he extremely finished them both and mine in less than 15 minutes!! He was pleasant, helpful, but also was working extremely hard and efficiently. I highly recommend them!!!!! Don't forget to bring cash! read more

This is the best place in town to get a smog check. The guys there are very fast, courteous, and competent. For $28 total the price cannot be beat, especially if you need your test at a STAR-certified station. Just be sure to bring cash, and mention you saw their $28 internet special. read more

I bought this through Groupon. As it is an older vehicle I knew from the fine print that there would be an extra charge for that. Turns out though that if you don't pay that in cash there's another $10 charge. They charge you for using a cedit card only for coupons, mind you, not for full priced service. When I complained I was rudely told to "check the find print next time". Well, I got home and checked the fine print. Surprise it isn't in there. Now for the topper, they failed it because they said the header wasn't approved. Well, it is - CARB E.O. #: D-540-5, it's stamped right on the side, it's marketed specifically for California and the people I took it to after had no problem passing it. Bottom line, these guys are shady and not very competent. read more

So I called this place before coming over to verify the hours of operation and the price. Despite mentioning that I saw $19.75 on Yelp, the attendant still told me that it was $28 cash (they do not accept credit card). A bit misleading but decided to continue anyway. After I arrived, he informed me that it was absolutely necessary that I had my DMV paperwork, which is odd - you should only need the license plate, VIN number and registration. Regardless, I tried to abide by his instructions and told him I would return with my paperwork. I returned before 5pm and he looks at me and says, "I'm about to leave." He didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that I needed to return by a certain time for him to do the job and he didn't even seem to care what he told me. After driving there twice, that is the crappy service I receive. Don't bother wasting your time with someone that has so little regard for your time. I went directly to 7 Days A Week Smog on San Pablo - yes, they were more expensive (any/all retesting and cert are included), but they were very kind, professional, offered helpful advice for AAA members and finished in 5 minutes. The lazy attendant at this place couldn't bother completing a 5-minute smog after sending me away to get my paperwork. Then again, he probably just told me that so I would go away and he could leave, PERIOD. This is a shining example of a business where you'll get what you pay for. Maybe they are fast according to some of the other reviews; however, in this case they were just so inconsiderate that I found myself compelled to write this review. Highly unprofessional and inconsiderate! read more

easiest smog check ever. great price, quick and pleasant outside waiting area! there's no doubt i'll be back next time.

We won't go anywhere else. $28 for mentioning Yelp, in and out in 10 minutes, really friendly people. What more could you ask for?!

Super fast service! Smog Check completed in less than 10 minutes!

I just got my Jeep Cherokee smog check done here today. It is the best price in town. The check only took 5-10 minutes. I would recommend everyone to come here. It is a family business and the workers are very nice. The mother of the owner was there today, she was really sweet and nice. I will come back here my next smog check. read more

I parked my 2008 Prius on the street to avoid blocking the bay just to ask a question. When he told me he was available, I pulled my car in and asked to confirm the price. After he answered, I checked my wallet and was short by a few dollars. As I turned around to go to the bank, visibly frustrated with myself for not checking my wallet first on a busy day, he offered right away to accept as payment the amount I had with me. In and out efficiently. Can't say how I would have improved the situation, so five stars. read more

Jason is friendly, fast, and helpful. While process super easy. First come, first serve, and I had no wait on a Monday morning. Added $5 charge for credit and debit, so swing by the ATM on your way. read more

Systems been down for 2 days, guy isn't on the ball. I was calling for 2 days after purchasing a group on and just decided to get a refund.

Walked in for a smog, staff was super friendly and nice! Was in and out within 15 minutes. Definitely recommend this place and will be going back. read more

These guys were quick and affordable. In and out in 5-10 minutes. Cash preferred, so stop by an ATM before you head over here.

Jason did a smog check for me! It took him less then 5 mins. He was very reasonable on the price and discounts.

We have been bringing our vehicles here for years. They always give us the discounted price even though we have older vehicles that most stations require extra money to test and certify. They are popular so there can be a wait, but the staff is fast, organized and super nice so we always return for their good service. read more

I was in and out within ten minutes. The person who did the smog test greeted me immediately, asked for my paperwork from the DMV, and was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend. read more

No appointment needed. In my case there was no wait and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I paid cash to avoid a credit card fee. It was a great deal and they file the paperwork with the DMV. I was very happy! read more

The whole process was so quick. I was really impressed. I didn't have an appointment and I was seen right away. t will definately go back for all my smogs and recommend to friends. read more

To be frank, I came here because I had a valpak coupon, but I'll be coming here in the future regardless. The Inspector was Jason who handled four customers, including me within 15 minutes. The first customer with a VW was being serviced as I arrived and he started on my paperwork. He completed the first customer and moved to the second, a Honda Pilot SUV. The fourth customer arrived and he started on his paperwork. He finished the second and moved on to me. About 5 minutes later and I was done. He completed my paperwork and moved to the fourth as I was leaving. All this was done as he shuffled cars around a busy corner gas station. It was a fluid vehicle ballet and quite a performance. Thanks dude! read more

I always come straight here for my SMOG Tests. They are so polite, quick (like 5 minutes!), and fairly priced. I've tried a few other places in the past, but once I found this spot (~3 years ago), I realized there was no point going anywhere else! Mention you use yelp for a discount. ;-) read more

Really nice guy working in here and I only paid 28$ for the service it was quick and precise I will be going back !!!!!

Great location. Service was fast and efficient. Literally took 5 minutes from the time I parked to when the nice gentleman handed me my checkout papers. I also got a sweet discount by checking in with Yelp. Would recommend! read more

Quick and cheap. Presumably you need to ask and pay cash to get the advertised price. Least painful smog check I've ever had done.

Have been getting my cars smog-checked here for years. Always a good experience, and the actual test takes only a few minutes. Jason explained everything completely and did a quick and professional job. read more

There are two locations; the one at Hopkins and the Alameda is busier so I go to the San Pablo (north of Gilman) shop. It's exactly as advertised on Yelp and on their web site. You have to mention the on-line price - $28 cash for cars made in 2000 or later - so tell them up front and don't try to pay by credit card or you will pay more. I was done in 10 minutes read more

Awesome Service, Great price! I came in for a smog check and Jason had my car in and out in 5 minutes! Will definitely be coming again!

The service was amazing! Got everything done in 10 mins for $28. Linh was helpful, professional, and even helped me fill up my tires after! Overall a great experience, will definitely come back for my next smog check. read more

I've been using this test station for years. Always good service. This year I was particularly appreciative. I did not have to wait and test was over in a flash. The price was right, quick and courteous service. What more can one ask for. read more

Super fast service, and great price with coupons. Best smog check experience ever. It is one bay, so it can be slower if there's cars ahead of you and you do need cash. I usually call ahead to see how busy they are. I was in and out in about 10 minutes today. read more

Don't go here unless you have hours of time to kill and wait. It's a small one man one car station, and the operation is a mess. I went here on a weekday afternoon. Called before I went and no one answered. When I was there, I was told to come back in half an hour. When I came back in half an hour, was told have to wait at least another half an hour because someone else had an appointment, and that I could either wait or go somewhere else. Don't want anyone else to waste time here! read more

I understand the desire for a business to practice price discrimination/offer deals and coupons in order to lure the most business at the best prices for them. However, this place is just shady in the way it hands out deals. When my wife went to get our car checked, they insisted it would be $58 and couldn't offer any deals even after she showed them their own offers on her smart-phone. I called up (not telling them my wife was there outside) and asked how much it would be - quoted the same deal my wife did and got them to agree to $38 out the door. I don't know why they would give out better deals on the phone, but I certainly don't appreciate them treating me so differently than my wife. read more

If only there were 10 stars! 4 Less Smog Check is amazing. I will never go anywhere else. They are professional and fast and have the best price. To my surprise without an appointment and not much time to spare they got me in and out sooner than I ever expected. I was handed the paperwork for my records and they took care of sending the smog check to the DMV. My idea of a GREAT business. read more

The smog check was done promptly and courteously. But...the pricing was sneaky. I have a Toyota Highlander and DMV paperwork that required a smog check from a Star station. He pointed to the fine print on the coupon and wanted to charge an extra $20 for the SUV and an extra $10 for the Star rating Thus an original $35 grew to $65. We settled at $50. So be prepared to barter like you are in the third world! read more

Very efficient, total down to business and gets the job done. Extra fee for SUV's but still a great place to get it taken care of.

When I went in Noah backed my car in, and then handed me paperwork to fill out. He had the wrong kind of car listed on the paper. If I hadn't noticed this it would have been a big headache with DMV. When I called his attention to it he got really offended and pulled my truck out and handed me the keys. He rudely grabbed the paperwork out of my hands (which I wanted to keep since it had my address and phone number on it) and walked off. I would NEVER recommend going here for a smog check. read more

Local neighborhood resource. Fast AM Service. Second time there, don't want piece of chocolate, want to be done fast (less than 15 minutes). He can be as rude as he wants as long as he gets job done. read more

This place is super fast and the guy working is super friendly. So fast, actually, it took me longer to get my coffee today than it was for them to do the smog check. Great place!! read more
