Also the people I talked to on the phone had initially quoted me for 115 pre-tax for the replacement, but when I spoke to them yesterday, owner tried to pull a fast one and quoted me for 125 (hence my confirming the price as well). After refusing to pay this price he went back to his initially quoted 115. Not a big deal, but it's funny that they tried changing an agreed upon price last second, lol. One of my laptops had a cracked bottom screen with a line going through the middle that kept getting worse. My other laptop screen suddenly stopped working out of nowhere. I decided to go with the El Cerrito location and paid $99 for each repair. I was starting school again on May 4, so I dropped my laptop off about a week before classes started. The same day, I got a call saying my MacBook Pro was being shipped to their main repair center in New York. I was skeptical and honestly didn't want my laptop shipped, especially with school around the corner. I was worried any little bump during shipping could make it worse. I told them I didn't want it shipped, but they said it was already too late and I would need to contact the insurance company. They told me to wait 24 hours. After about 2 days I checked again and they said it was already being repaired. Thankfully, everything worked out. The staff at the El Cerrito location was really nice, helpful, and patient throughout the process, especially when I had questions and concerns about my laptop being shipped. They repaired my laptop and had it back to me within about a week. My laptop looks and works like new now! I'm super happy with how everything turned out, especially since I'm back in nursing school.
