I had a very disappointing experience with Roto-Rooter…read more On Saturday morning, I called them to replace the shower valve. The technician initially quoted **$750**. After I declined because the price was too high, he asked me to speak with his manager. The manager then reduced the price to **$475** and said they would apply a coupon. While attempting the repair, the technician removed the shower cartridge and **broke it inside the valve**, leaving my shower unusable. He said he didn't have the proper tool, left to get one, and told me he would return the next day (Sunday). On Sunday, I was told the technician would arrive between **9:00 AM and 10:00 AM**, but nobody showed up until around **4:00 PM**. A different technician arrived instead. Rather than honoring the previous quote, he gave me a new estimate of **$2,700**. After I showed him photos of the previous work and explained what had happened, he spoke with his manager and lowered the estimate to **$2,200**, which was still extremely unreasonable. I also shared photos with **Jerry**, another member of their company, showing the damage caused during the first visit. **After viewing the photos, Jerry said, "I don't care."** Instead of taking responsibility for their technician breaking the shower cartridge and leaving the job unfinished, the company attempted to charge me thousands of dollars to complete the repair. I ultimately hired another licensed plumbing company, and they repaired the issue completely for **$350**. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Roto-Rooter. The pricing was inconsistent, appointments were not honored, their technician damaged my plumbing, and they attempted to charge an excessive amount to fix a problem their own employee created. I recommend getting multiple estimates before hiring this company.

When I first called him, I told him I needed the job done urgently. He said he was busy with a graduation party but quoted me $60 per room. I agreed, thinking it was straightforward. When he arrived, I asked him to clean just the living room and master bedroom--both completely empty, no furniture to move. Once he got there, he suddenly claimed the living room would count as two rooms and pointed me to his website. This is a small home in Mountain House, nothing out of the ordinary, but somehow it ended up costing $200, with only a $10 discount. Later, I messaged him to finish the job with two more rooms. He lives in the same town, but he told me it would be a minimum of $150 just to come out again. At that point, it was clear this wasn't about fair pricing--it was about squeezing as much money as possible out of the situation. AJ may do decent work, but the greed is hard to ignore. The way he shifts pricing and inflates charges shows that making an extra buck is more important to him than being honest or fair. I would never use him again and strongly caution others to look elsewhere if you value transparency and integrity.

They were efficient, easy to work with and reliable. I worked with Idan, the PM who came by for the original estimate. He was informative, made helpful suggestions and answered all of my questions. Rat infestation in my garage (never had rats before so didn't know the proper process)…read more I had to dispose of half the items in my garage. Junk removal took care of that job & removed the rat poop. Then I called A2Z to clean everything assuming that's all I'd have to do. Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

Professionally, I worked alongside them as a claims adjuster. Out of the many restoration companies I've worked with over the years, ServiceMaster Elite (and I emphasize Elite, because every franchise operates differently) has consistently been one of the fairest and most professional. Their estimates are reasonable, well documented, and if something is missed, they're quick to review it and make the necessary corrections. They don't play games with inflated invoices or try to slip in questionable charges. Instead, they provide thorough photo documentation, clearly explain any supplemental costs, and focus on working collaboratively to reach the right outcome. That level of transparency and professionalism made them one of the easiest restoration companies to work with. On a personal level, what truly sets this office apart is the people. They genuinely care about their customers and treat them like people, not claim numbers. Time and again, I've seen them go out of their way to make difficult situations a little less stressful. They also operate like a family. I'm sure there's the occasional sibling rivalry, what family doesn't have one? It's obvious they support one another and take pride in doing right by the people they serve. If you're looking for a restoration company that's honest, responsive, professional, and genuinely cares about both the quality of its work and the people it helps, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ServiceMaster Elite.

***UPDATE as of 7/13/26 10 DAYS+ $0 has been received from this company. I thought I would update…read moremy review due to company's response on this post. The company has since came out to fix part of the damage that they caused. We have since worked with another vendor through our home insurance to find that actual leak which was within the shower. The water damage cause has been shown to us and proved through reading with a meter and pictures have been provided where the water is leaking down along our tub out to the specific area of the carpet in our room. It is further confirmed that rainbow restoration immediately assumed the leak was in the wall adjacent to the Carpet. That is when they hammered into the 2 x 4 to check for moisture and punctured that pipe. The water continued to leak after they fixed the damage they caused which led us to finding the actual leak through a very thorough assessment by another company. I will not be changing my review. Unfortunately, through the very poor assessment and not checking that the leak had resolved. We had to move forward with having our Carpet and baseboards fully replaced only to find out that they had only fixed a leak that they created and not the source of the moisture. The source of the moisture runs from the shower throughout the enclosure down the tub line directly to the spot that they took out a chunk of my wall, where we also had to have drywall repaired. Please consider this company and standby during visits to the home. The tech that assisted us was of great integrity and very apologetic for this mistake. It was the management who tried to blame us and say they must have punctured a very rare part of the pipe and made a previous issue larger. We have since proven that to be a lie. *** we also never asked for reimbursement for mold, remediation or anything like that. We asked for reimbursement for displacing our family during Father's Day weekend due to negligence. We did not have a leak issue where we had to move out of the home and shut off the water prior to being serviced by your company. We are actually still dealing with the issue and the leak and the water does not need to be shut off we just do not need to run that shower to stop the water from running. We asked the company to make things right. We ask them to pay for the cost of displacing our family for multiple days into a hotel, the cost of repairing the drywall that they damaged and the pipe that they damaged. We had no issues addressing a moisture situation that was not caused by their company. Please let me know if there is anyone who can get in touch within this company. We have since been displaced from our home after having a tech come out and are in a hotel. Our dog has been in 100 degree weather and the GM first refused ownership when even the tech apologized for the mistake of damaging a pipe and water spewing out. He then reached out appearing to attempt to rectify only to not respond for another night. Please reach out to me if you're in management in Rainbow Restoration and are not Param. I would note the tech that came out was honest, kind, and accepting full responsibility. Erik also came and was very helpful and understood the tech made an error. During Param's conversation on the phone with me he admitted this is rare and he should've went into a 2x4. Our homeowners insurance sent out a plumber to review who said the fracture on the pipe was not companies response on this post to wear in tear but deliberate puncture by force. Everyone is in agreement the tech made a mistake. However, Param is unwilling to accept this is a separate issue from the preexisting issue we called about. The house was not unlivable and we were not displaced prior to working with Rainbow Restoration. The plumber Param sent to my house stated he couldn't find another leak so the tech "probably" punctured the same exact (rare) pipe in the same exact spot there was a leak cause water to spew out and create an emergency situation. We are only seeking for the company to rectify the new problem they have created so our family can move back into our home.

My Highest Recommendation for Bio 911…read more I had a mold problem caused by a leaking faucet and roof at my Mom's house. The mold remediation company that I was referred to, went ahead and started tearing out drywall before any contract was signed. They also would not answer most of my questions and only sent a single photo of what they found and that was only after I asked them to send me photos a second time. I called Bio 911 and spoke to Kirill, the owner of the company. He told me that he doesn't like to take on jobs that are already being worked on by another company, but he told me that he would be happy to come out to inspect and evaluate my problem. He was incredibly thorough. He checked the drywall where visible mold had been seen, checked a nearby restroom even though no mold had been seen in there, the outside wall of the building adjacent to the affected drywall, and even the walls of an adjacent apartment. He detected moisture inside of the outside wall of the building, which was something that the other company had missed, and he outlined the steps needed to correct the moisture problem and mold issue. Kirill did all this work simply because he likes to help people. He did not charge me a penny. How often can you find someone that does things just to help people?
