Thank you. *********************************************************** I requested a dryer vent cleaning and was quoted a flat rate of $200. The job included "...I clean the entire tube that connects to the wall and I clean the entire run that goes from the wall to the outside. I do this by snaking the entire dryer vent run blowing it all out and vacuum up what's ever in there the entire process takes about 30-45 mins I'll make sure you have perfect flow." He stated he would also clean the lint filter housing. Pros: Mark was on time, personable, and completed the job in about 1.5 hours. He cleaned up after himself and put the dryer back in place. The space inside the laundry room was a bit tight and the dryer connection is gas so he had to climb behind the dryer to work. And he did so - probably getting a couple bumps and bruises. What could have been better? He broke our dryer vent metal duct, replaced it with an aluminum duct from his vehicle, didn't tell us until the job was completed, and didn't take accountability for breaking it. I knew he was having difficulties during the job evidenced by his swearing and grunts. I asked if he was ok to which he replied "yes." I didn't know he had broken anything until he brought out the broken vent as he was leaving. I wasn't happy about this and after a brief discussion he offered to go purchase another metal duct, come back to put it on, but it would cost extra. Wait. What? Extra for something you broke? He assured me the aluminum replacement would be fine, safe, and he's used it countless times. He added "its fine for the short run between the dryer and wall." Before he left I asked if he got the lint in the vent leading to the outside, and showed him where I thought that vent was located. He walked outside and came back saying you're all good. I asked him to show me but when we went out he said your vent is up on top of the roof (2 story house) and it's too dangerous to get up there. So how are we all good?! That's when he claimed he blew the lint out onto the roof. Lol. He didn't provide the before or after pics as advertised. He said he forgot. I asked for a receipt. He said he emailed it to us. After 3 weeks and we still hadn't received I contacted him to request it again. Once received it didn't include the scope of work performed, mention the broken or replaced vent, or include the stated warranty. Not sure I can recommend at this time. read more

Mark did an excellent job. I called because I smelled something weird when I started the fireplace. Instead of ignoring it, I placed a request for chimney sweep on yelp. Two of the four companies said they only serviced gas fireplaces, but Lucky Vents reached out and not only could they service my chimney, but they came out same day. Before they came over I searched for average pricing and the cost could be upwards for $400. But they were able to clean my chimney same day for less than half of that.
