Over the last few years, we made many calls to the leading, well-known fireplace service providers in the Bay Area. Each call was unhelpful--outrageous quotes just to diagnose the problem, difficulty scheduling appointments, and at times, almost rude conversations with the service reps. Doris from Bay Fireside Pros was absolutely outstanding. The service we received was solid from the moment I reached out to them to look at a small direct vent gas fireplace that wouldn't start. Honestly, in less than five minutes he had this thing pulled apart and got it up and running again. For such an old fireplace I was truly amazed how he made it seem so effortless to service this old model. He offered to look at it and again, within five minutes he had figured out what the issue was. He replaced the remote control module and the thing was up and blazing again! Truly if all service calls could be this effortless, friendly, and efficient I would be the happiest person on earth. He looked at my unit and walked me thru the troubleshooting process since he was not able to clearly identify why my fireplace was stalling to light. Since I could not tell him what I previously had repaired, he suggested for me to continue using the fireplace until I have to call him again vs trying to sell me on a receiver and controller in which he feels that would not solve the issue.
