Located on the lower level of the Hyatt, it's a great spot to have lunch outside (even in Mid June). Service is great and the food is delicious. The first day I had the smash burger - expensive at $26 - but really large size. I couldn't finish it all - fries are so good that's what the ladies wanted to come back on day 2. Today I had the mahi - and it was perfect - nice size and didn't feel too full after. The Elote dip was just ok, as was the pulled pork (not enough sauce according to the ladies). They did like the grain bowl on the first day. As we left at 12:45 there was a wait for tables inside, but outside is better!

It's a bit confusing because you have to walk past the bar area (with two pool tables) towards the back to find the host stand. While making my reservation, I opted for the semi-private dining room and we had almost the entire area to ourselves and were seated in an oversized comfy booth. Our server was very nice and made great recommendations. The food came out in a timely manner, was well presented, decent portions, and tasted great. We especially loved the Caesar tartare, lamb shank, apple pie, and cookies. The cookies were especially unique and they also added decorative chocolates to both with celebratory messages based on our reservation. No notes, we will be back!

There are three different choices for seating. A hightop near the bar, regular tables at the bar, sitting at the bar, or sitting at a regular umbrella table by the pool. I guess that makes four options. I chose a high top. The menus are already on the tables and I was quickly seated and greeted by my waitress who asked what I wanted to drink and I ordered a club soda with lime. Yeah variety of good options for appetizers and meals ranging from a hummus salad to burgers to tacos and three kinds of fries including regular potato fries, sweet potato fries, and yucca fries. I opted for the shrimp tacos with a side of sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy and quite yummy. The tacos were not great but not awful and came with a green sauce that was pretty tasty. The tacos are included in the order so it made for a decent sized meal. I was surprised when I received the check to find out that they had charged me six dollars for my club soda. Every restaurant I have ever been to has never charge me for a club soda. So they not only charged me for it but charged me twice because I got a refill. When I pointed this out to the waitress she said it is categorized as a soda but after some discussion she removed one of the charges. So I still had to pay three dollars for a club soda. If you're in the hotel and looking for some quick bite that are a decent meal or hanging out by the pool this is a worthwhile option.

The atmosphere definitely makes the experience. There was live music while we were there, and I loved that they also have artwork throughout the restaurant that you can actually purchase. It gives the space so much personality and makes it feel different from your typical restaurant. Service was decent. It was pretty busy, so our server only checked on us a few times, but overall we still had a good experience. We chose seats at the bar and were greeted promptly by Brian and Rowan. Because there were a lot of people and just the two of them, they were running around taking orders from tables as well as servicing the bar so it did take a little bit to get our drink orders in, but we were enjoying looking through the whiskey library anyways. I started off with a Suncreek blonde ale. It is strawberry blonde ale and it's delicious. My husband started with the Yingling. He keeps hoping they will bring the Kentucky bourbon ale back on tap again. For lunch, I got the whiskey dip which is full of chopped beef with cheese and onions. Served with an herb, dipping sauce, and your choice of side. I opted for the sweet potato waffle fries because they are delicious. My husband got a burger with fries cooked perfectly. Once we are done with our food, we did opt for a taster. My husband had to go through several different bottles before he found one they actually had in stock. That is one of the downside is the whiskey library that is online is not always reflective of what they actually have in stock as he was really looking forward to trying the old Fitzgerald birthday, but alas, they did not have it in stock. He ended up going with the jack Daniels 12 year and really enjoyed it. I opted for the widow Jane 14 year very sweet easy to drink. Great service from Bryan and Rowan always enjoy seeing them behind the bar

The waitress took one of our party's order wrong and he personally came over, made it right, and was our best friend the rest of the night. We got a yummy charcuterie board to soak up some of the alcohol. Highly recommend that too. The last thing I'll say is that even though we missed the live music, they were still playing the artist's music over the speakers. It's great to see them continue to support local talent because I immediately looked up the person and downloaded their music all because the establishment didn't stop supporting him after he stopped singing. It shows how deep they want to grow roots in the community. Love it and I'm absolutely going back.

Our waiter Kellen was so great, recommended the flatbread app which was the highlight of the stop, and was just beyond pleasant. The GM Steven came over and introduced himself and chatted for a while as well once we got our drinks and he too was a standout in what would be a relatively lackluster experience. The tavern is really gorgeous and the seating is well done and comfortable. Where everything seems to struggle is the overall execution of concept and menu. After years of watching Taffer yell and scream about quality, I expect top notch cocktails and food. I have become sorely disappointed in both. We stopped in for Happy Hour and each grabbed a cocktail, my wife got the Cloud 9 and I got Taffer's Spiked Lemonade. Both drinks are $17 and frankly have no right being anywhere near that price point. The lemonade is at best a 6oz drink and was certainly the better of the two drinks. The Cloud 9 was oddly funky and almost had a brown sugary taste that was just out of place with the ingredients. While the GM offered to remake it we just powered through. The Figtastic Flatbread was both fantastic and slightly disappointing. The flavor was AMAZING, the cheese had just enough funk to offset the sweetness of the fig and slightly tart balsamic. The only bummer was how under done the flatbread itself was. It had a little crisp along the edges but remained pretty floppy throughout. At the end of the day a half priced flatbread and two cocktails ran just over $42 and that's kind of wild. But, we are in Point Orlando and I understand the tourist premium, I just want that premium reflected in my meal and drinks as well. Staff - 100/10 Food - 7/10 Drinks - 4/10
