Went here on a late Saturday morning. Very packed. Was happily greeted by the hostess and she seated us right away. Our waitress greeted us as she was busy running around but still said good morning and that she would be with us soon. When she came back she brought waters for us and took our drink order. Our food was excellent!! We ate every single bite. We ordered the chicken fried chicken and I ordered some eggs, a bagel, sausage, and hashbrowns. We are very pleased with the speed of the service as well as the quality of the food! The cooks do a great job! And the waiters I can tell work very hard to take care of customers and the bus boys are also hustling to clear tables as fast as possible. It was all so great! I feel bad we forgot the name of our waitress but she was excellent! She was very attentive and I noticed she was talking to other customers as well and making them smile :) we will definitely be back here again in the near future! read more

Last night our organization ( GASN ) from GISD rented out 30 brunch for our spring fling party, and the place was amazing. We had a great time. The owner and bartender was there to make sure everything went off smoothly. And it did, it was the best experience. Our group has had this 4 great atmosphere, Great, DJ, And we had so much fun. Hands down the best breakfast I've had in as long as I can remember. The service was fast and super friendly--Norma was the absolute sweetest and made sure we had everything we needed. Situated right off of 30 & Dalrock - directly next to a gas station is this gem. The inside of this place is far beyond what you'd expect based on the outside & location. You walk inside and are met with trendy aesthetic decor & the host. We came at 11am on a Sunday and didn't have to wait to be seated. Hannah was our server and she was very sweet and accommodating. For food we ordered the Two by Two's (I believe is what it's called) which comes with pancakes or French toast, two eggs and meat of your choosing. I got French toast with the very berry toppings & my boyfriend got the pancakes. He also opted for egg whites with cheese instead of the usual scrambled, which I got. Everything was cooked to our specifications & tasted really good. The only hiccup we had was with the orange juice. It's marketed to be fresh squeezed, but we were informed that the bitter batch we had was actually 5 days old. It tasted more like grapefruit juice than OJ - so we had to swap that out for apple juice. I also don't know what it is about the greater DFW area & their need to charge you $5+ for a glass of juice that is barely 3 oz but the drinks are tiiiiiiny. Rented out this space on 3/28 for a Spring Fling event for GASN (a chapter for the GISD food service). The best decision we could have ever made. The manager was there to make sure everything was ok. After she left the owner and awesome bartender was there for the whole event. We brought our own food and you are able to set it up the way you would like it. We also brought our own DJ Chris Sax. The whole experience was awesome from the beginning to the end. Will definitely be renting again. read more

My husband & I tried Dalrock location for the first time & were very pleased with service as well as food. The restaurant is larger than it appears from the street. The decor is " kitschy", but not why we went there. Very good coffee, large BLT Omelette, 2 nice pancakes & very fresh fruit cup with blackberries, strawberries, blueberries & orange slices. Simply picked a breakfast location on the map as we were passing through town. As soon as we opened the doors, we were pleasantly greeted with smiles and good mornings. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. A very comfortable atmosphere. All the staff were extremely polite, consistently acknowledging our presence. Just want to compliment two servers who went above and beyond to accommodate a food allergy in our family. The table directly next to us ordered an item that causes airborne anaphylactic reaction. We informed the server of the situation, and they helped us move very quickly to a spot that was far away from the allergen. Very nice visit today, waitstaff made the difference. Very rainy weather, 30 Brunch was almost zero customers. I was greeted warmly, but probably the kitchen wanted to just go home. This is a problem for owners to get ahead of: these guys will do waffle house level cooking, and lower the reputation of 30 Brunch Rowlett. I scanned the menu for items with lower spice level (long ago, the spicy recipes were a way to get rid of stale, or old ingredients!) "BLT Omelet" plate with option of hash browns, or country fried potatos was my choice. This omelet has Bacon, Leafy Spinach, and Tomato, with Mozzarella cheese on inside, topped w/ slices of avocado! Mmmm... The BLT Omelet actually had a fragrant taste of flavors, without any extra zest of herbs or seasoning. The country-fried potatos were very good, with a thin coating to give a crisp outside, minimal seasoning, and fluffy inside. Pecan Waffle was lacking the same level of quality... they just threw pecans on top of an average waffle, and dusted powdered sugar over all of it. $10 of blah. A tiny bit of flavoring in the batter would upgrade this, and used Candied pecans pan-heated in cinnamon butter. Powdered sugar has more visual appeal than flavor impact. An economical artificial butter honey drizzle, applied lightly, would work. better. The facility was clean, dinnerware was clean & in new condition. Coffee cups are tiny, and the cute Mini-me spoon does not make the cups look bigger! $25 for brunch, and I left $10 tip since they had a slow day due to weather. No, I don't do this everywhere. I always remember my customers, long ago, that would encourage us low wage workers, either a compliment or a nice tip right when my pockets were empty. Step it up, 30 Brunch House! read more

The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, and even though the place is almost always packed, the food comes out quickly. I always order the Red Rooster--I'm obsessed! I have been to this restaurant twice now and I went today for a third visit. Let's just say I was a little disappointed with the service. The waitress was not interested in good customer service and never checked to see if everything was ok or if I wanted anything else. The vibe given wasn't what I had experienced the previous two occasions. Since I am in the customer service industry myself I think I should share what I have experienced today with you in hopes of getting better results in the future. Unique food choices. We were the only customers at the time we went during the week. That being said the young man that was our waiter did a very good job. Prices were a little higher than expected. I will pay extra for outstanding service and food. I would rate a 9 out of 10. Atmosphere was very hodge podge. Needs a redo in this area. Nothing goes with anything else. They should just say they are out of biscuits instead of serving one that was unbreakable. The service isn't good anymore either, the staff doesn't seem like they want to be there. I went there with my daughter. It was meh. The food didn't look nearly as inviting as the pictures. I had avocado toast. It was bland and needed something. The service was lacking as well which always makes my opinion of a place lower. I have been to the Rockwall location several times and have been impressed. Today, I tried the Rowlett location and was very disappointed. The restaurant was pretty much empty and there were plenty of staff. Nice. However, the food was not up to par. My eggs were cooked well, but that's where it stopped. The hash browns looked good, but were not even warm. The bacon was overcooked (I did request crispy, but there is a difference between crispy and burnt). I ordered sourdough toast. It came out as what I call raw toast. Not toasted enough to call toasted, but not untoasted. I will go back to the Rockwall location, but will pass on the Rowlett location. read more
