    Menu - July 2022

Visited 3-Way Scoops multiple times during our visit on the island! Ice cream is creamy and flavorful, they dish out generous scoops, and their menu boasts a nice selection of ice cream flavors, sundaes, and Belgian waffles. They're a few minutes away from the airport and away from the town center so they have minimal to no lines. Waffle cones are fresh, crispy and a touch warm when you get it and they wrap the bottom with a bit of gold foil to prevent leakage. All ice cream is pretty pricey on Nantucket, but 3 way is slightly more affordable and they don't overcharge for cones and toppings like many of the other popular spots.

We are so upset that an unscrupulous landlord forced the closure of Foggy Nantucket, which was our…read morefavorite restaurant on this island for years. But... the silver lining, if there is one, is that the owners of Foggy Nantucket are now exercising their foodie finesse and mad kitchen skills at SnACKle, a tiny, but mighty, snack bar right next to the fast ferry. It's a shame that they don't have space, yet, to make their beautiful barbecue and pizzas from scratch using tomatoes and basil grown from their own garden. We will miss those. But they do have those awesome salads on the menu (we've always marveled at the CIA-level knife work on display there, the homemade dressings), good-lookin' sandwiches, specialty hot dogs (kimchi dogs!), ice cream, warm chocolate covered strawberries, soups, well-curated charcuterie, frozen lemonade with popping boba, some beautiful cakes and pastries, etc... There must be more deliciousness per cubic inch here than almost anywhere else in the world, I imagine. :) With these talented chefs in the kitchen and their true commitment to quality food, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on this menu.

It might have been one of the most delicious desserts I have ever had, my son got a donut and we got a chocolate chip cookie to go. We also got coffee to bring home and I grabbed the cutest tote bag. Now... everything is going to cost you a pretty penny, but that's Nantucket life for you. In June, you can pick your own strawberries. They offer up breakfast sandwiches, lunch options, they even have daily dinner specials like roast turkey one night and a tri-tip another. Some items are great, somethings are ok and somethings are eh? For a one stop shop though, this place is it. A few things: I don't love the donuts, Bake Shop is way better. The lobster salad is delicious. The sammies? They're fine, Something Natural or Henry's are better options, but they suffice. The cookies are incredible. Their dips, their salads - all so good. The produce? I spend all my money on their tomatoes. Anything they grow, you should buy, anything they don't grow is way overpriced. If you have kids, they have a nice little play structure right by the picnic tables (about 6-8 picnic tables) which is fun for my 3 year old, but also my 7 year old. With that, Bartlett's is a Nantucket legend and we must all bow down to Queen B.

A few years ago, someone offered to buy my parking space for $500. (I declined.) There's often live music. (Check local publications or their website for up-to-date schedules.) There are often a number of food trucks present. On our recent visit, we had oysters from Hang Ten (enormous, meaty and sweet, but shucked with a ton of shell shards); tacos, guac and nachos from Millie's; and pizza from Eat Fire Pizza. And of course we had a number of decent beers on tap from Cisco Brewers. They seem to tend towards lightness, minimal hoppiness: good summer brews for warm weather. It's family friendly -- including canine members. Our pup is a seasoned New Yorker and accustomed to crowds, but even she seemed a little frazzled by the press of people at times.

We got there fairly early but the first band had already started, and the area under the tent was already full. We got some drinks, checked out the space and eventually we were able to snag some chairs under the tent. The outside beer area had alcohol drinks as well. 2 of us had tequila drinks, and 2 tried the beers. We were all really happy with our choices. All of the food there came from food trucks, and there were a lot of random vendors, which made it a fun, unique experience! All of our food and drinks were great. I also bought a few hats- the hat selection was really good from the band and the brewery. They also had a shop along with the other vendors who were set up. We stayed longer than expected- the first band (Grateful Dead cover band) was amazing, so we stayed to check out the second band (who were really good also). We eventually gave up our seats under the tent to some very happy people! We will definitely go back to the Cisco brewery the next time we're in Nantucket- it was a great experience all around! Everyone we encountered- whether they worked there, or weee there for fun were very nice and friendly. There was a dance area in front of the stage and people definitely used it - so there was great people watching in a super fun setting!
