I really hesitated coming here giving the low review score but decided to try it since my friend who lives here like it and it's 2 min walk from his place. It didn't disappoint. We had - chicken and veggie pho - very clean soup and good veggies and doesn't seem to have msg or too much salt. Just wha I wanted and I am a food snob - hubby had miso pork ramen and it was also on point. Al dente nooodles and nice soft yolk egg very tasty pork chunks. Big portions for both. My friends and I were craving good Chinese food for our girls' night and decided to take a chance on this place, even though I have pretty high standards since New York Chinese food is hard to beat. Based on some of the reviews, I was a little hesitant, but we went for it anyway and I'm glad we did. We ordered the fried chicken, beef and broccoli, jumbo fried rice, and egg rolls. The fried chicken and beef and broccoli were both really good, fresh and flavorful. . The jumbo fried rice was massiveeeee, like seriously, we could have fed a small army with that portion. The experience began with a late-night visit with kids. While reading reviews, the I disagreed with the negative comments. Previously, I had a positive experience at their Brickell location. In the Brickell locations and here, the ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. I ordered pho, and my children had lo mein with chicken and vegetables on the side. Everything was incredible. However, as the ingredients settled, the broth developed an odd aftertaste, and the noodles became gummy, which I didn't enjoy. I barely made it halfway through the dish before giving up. Still hungry, I decided to play it safe and order a pu pu platter featuring ribs, wings, crab rangoon, egg rolls, and dumplings. The shrimp, egg foo young and broccoli were so excessively salty my tongue is still burning. The biggest disappointment however was the egg foo young which looked and tasted like it had been in a fridge for several days before cooking. Limp, gray interior, AND SO SALTY! The broccoli was very fresh though and they gave us about 5 pounds of rice and at least 25 fortune cookies. Might've just been cooked badly or cooled down for too long. Food: 1/5 Got the vermicelli bowl and dinner special. Two people eating two separate dishes and somehow we've both ended up with stomach pains and diarrhoea that hasn't stopped 24hrs later. Since it's not because of one dish, we're thinking it must be something in the kitchen that contributed to both dishes being off. Or the beef they use in both dishes. We'd not eaten here for quite a while and I needed a soup fix. Parking was relatively easy; we found a space on a nearby side street. We were welcomed nicely, but it took a while to place our order - but that was ok. We had the order of summer rolls with shrimp and salad. They were ok, not something I'd normally order, I think too heavy on the salad and light on the small shrimps. My husband had the Szechuan Pork and thoroughly enjoyed it. For my soup fix, I went with the shrimp pho. Ok, this is an Chinese restaurant, not Vietnamese. Yes, the pho was, well, ok, but it was what I needed. There were a good number of nice sized shrimp hiding in the noodles. The side dish of sprouts, greens, and lime was generous. My wife was really in the mood for some Pho. Staying at the Fountainbleau, and we didn't want to go to a place that would be too pricy, and the options were few in the immediate area. That said, we took a look at a number of places and decided to try this one. One of the reasons we picked this instead of a few other options was that we could have multiple options. I had a Tonkatsu Ramen, and she had a Shrimp Pho. Having moved not long ago from California to Florida, we have been spoiled over there with a ton of great restaurants that make these two dishes. The pho was fantastic! It had a bright clear broth that was very flavorful, and the side veggies were super crisp and fresh. Loved the flavor and the bite of the noodles. Very satisfying and belly warming! The ramen too was fantastic! I personally like a tiny bit more fat in the stock, but it hit all the right notes flavor wise. The noodles again were excellent, that springy bite of a better ramen, and totally different from the pho, very authentic. The amount of pork was generous. My only suggestion would be to slice and marinade the hard boiled egg in soy, in the traditional Japanese manner. But it was cooked perfectly. Now the few surprising things that I enjoyed included the egg roll, which was perfectly crispy and because we ate in, it came out SUPER hot! Loved that! The other thing I really liked was the red dipping sauce, and the house made mustard, which has overtones of wasabi. I mixed the red sauce and the mustard together, and with the egg roll, it was devine! If I lived close to this restaurant, I would be a regular, or I would be ordering it in at home all the time. The only reason for the 4 vs 5 was the decor. I think that seeing back into the back was a tiny bit distracting from what was otherwise a decent little restaurant. If they were to get one of those room divider folding things to block the view into the back, I think it would be even better. read more

Ordered online for pickup, my order was ready in less than 30 minutes. I paid with card so I was right in and out with my food, the lady working was very nice. I like that they plastic wrapped the box in addition to putting it in a to go bag so all the juices stayed inside and didn't spill everywhere! So I had planned to give this place 5 stars in the middle of dinner without any doubts. The service started off excellent, the food was omg good and the ambiance was pretty relaxing and chilled. So just I had finished eating a takeout customer came in to pick up her order and she brought in a large dog inside the restaurant. The servers including ours started petting the dog and playing with him and then she immediately came over and asked if we needed anything or if we would like her to box up our leftovers. Also, the egg friend rice that comes with the dinner order looked and tasted more like yellow rice with a couple pieces of egg than fried rice made with soy sauce. My coworker bought a Groupon for this place and we came here for lunch. The restaurant is located in the shopping center next to the new Publix on Biscayne Blvd and 17th in Midtown. There are two small parking lots in the back but for the entire shopping center. We went during lunch and did not find any available parking spots, but we parked on the street for a couple of dollars for the hour. The place is small but there are also tables outside. There weren't a lot of people in there so we were greeted and seated right away by very friendly staff. We looked at the menu and were surprised how affordable their lunch specials were, with the most expensive special at $7.95. All lunches include a soup, fried or white (or brown) rice, and the meat. After placing our orders, the food came quick, plenty of time to spare from a hour lunch break. To start I ordered the Sweet and Sour Soup. I was surprised at the size, as I expected a small cup but actually received almost a pint! The soup was good, very hot (temperature wise) but it was a little on the sweet side. I was ok with that for the moment, since I added plenty of the fried noodles to balance it. I also ordered Crab Rangoon, which again, there were amount of them. The were served also with the Duck Sauce, but they were sweet enough to not want to put too much of the sauce. By this time I was already seeing a pattern. My food came, on a good sized plate (see photo). The rice was delicious. Tender and the pork in it was good. It was really hot (temperature wise) which is a real plus for me (I love my food steaming hot). Now, the chicken was ok. It was not spicy at all but instead was very sweet. By this time, my palate had tasted so much sweet that it was now difficult to enjoy the rest of the food. I should've stopped but I basically tried just eating the inside of the Tso Chicken and leaving the breading out. In conclusion, this place has enormous potential to be a great spot for quick, inexpensive dining choice. If they were to cut down on the sweetness of their food, the food would be awesome. We stopped at this place because we were staying at one of the near by hotels for a race, and wanted something light. We though some noodles or sushi would do it... Once we arrived, there was no wait time, we were seated immediately. Our waitress was super friendly, she was knowledgeable about the menu and offered some suggestions. So no complaint there. We ordered the Singapore noodles, and pad thai. The pad thai was good, very tasty, it was not as spicy as I wouldve wanted, but I asked for mild. The singapore noodles however had a different taste. I cant pin point the flavor but there was something there that didn't set me well to my stomach. I spent way too long researching places and finally chose 3 chefs. We got shrimp and pork summer rolls, egg drop soup w/ wontons (WhHAAAAAT?!?!), deluxe chinese veg, and pho #5. We would order every single item in the future and had half of everything left over for tomorrow... The delivery service was so fast, delivered everything in a box- not a bag in which stuff could spill. There were condiments, chopsticks, crunchies, and cookies.
