Peach tea was great. They ran out of mango smoothie so I had to settle with a peach which was okay but the peachy peach tea was awesome!

They had a large main dining room with coffee bar to sit at as well as some back spaces to host events. They recently got new owners who are going to revamp the menu and offer more events to the community. Their menu was smaller but intriguing. They had great signature drink flavors that could be applied to different coffee style drinks. I got the Lavender Shortbread flavor as an iced latte and loved it! My husband got the Chai Latte which he wasn't quite fond of but they asked if he wanted cinnamon on top which was nice. Overall, coffee is their specialty and there's a reason why. I'm sure they have other tea drinks that may have been more favorable as well. I wouldn't mind coming back to enjoy a cup inside rather than to-go.

Pekoe & Bean is a longtime local favorite for breakfast and lunch too. A pretty simple menu great for groups. The prices are kind of high on a few items but it's great quality. Basic items are on the menu that are familiar. It's of course got coffee and tea. They have quite a variety. A lot of the classic favorites. Some unique specialties. It's about $6 to get a latte. They have a few of these. I got the Bananas Foster Latte. This is made with banana syrup. Also they have non dairy milks. The food menu includes salads and sandwiches. It's about $7 for a bowl of chili. This is vegan. Has quite a bit spiciness to it. This is a great one to warm up with. Also they have carrot soup which is great. They also have lots of pastries. Get great stuff at breakfast or lunch and enjoy it. It's open at breakfast and lunch. This is located on Oak Park Avenue at 171st Street.

Then I wait 5 more minutes as walk in customer after walk in customer is rung up and served where my drinks were. This was a nice little café that popped up in a strip mall on 151st Street. A number of these cafés…read morehave started in Orland Park, and we're making the round of them ... the last one we were at was Marouf Café, which serves that namesake coffee). Cello was the same, but different. Similar to the Starbucks ethos, they specialize in a number of fancy coffees, yet still offer plain old brewed coffee. We tried the brewed coffee (5-star fresh and hot), some Green Tea called mint (5-star delish), and a fruit crêpe. Now the fruit crêpe was also a 5-star offering, but you better come hungry ... it was a huge helping, and we ended up splitting it but still could not finish. It was a freshly made crêpe with Nutella and a light cream sauce inside, piled with fresh fruit and then a drizzle of Nutella and the cream sauce on top. This was a meal-sized delight. Many of the other offerings seem to be simply a different riff on the fruit crêpe, which can also come on a fresh waffle. Now this is not the kind of place where you pop in for a quick coffee to go ... but, rather, it takes time to get food (service) here because most of it is freshly made. But that said, if you have the time the food (crepes, coffee, and tea) were worth the wait. Ambiance wise, the decor was very nice ... just enough fru-fru to make you forget you're in a strip mall. There are a number of chairs, tables, and and sofas around to make many seating arrangements, which was nice; you can come with a group or as a single and feel welcome. The only negatives on our visit: the music list was fine, but way too loud; they must turn the music down so patrons can have a conversation. When we arrived we noticed an employee parking their car right in front of the establishment (5 feet from the entrance) and we thought that maybe they could have parked in the spaces just across the lot (35 feet from the door); it just makes sense to cater to your customers, rather than yourself. But all that said, this was a nice new offering in Orland Park.

The boba is cooked well and is perfectly chewy and the flavors are good. Boba started in Taiwan and everything about this place stays close to how it's been made and how it is suppose to taste since the early 2000s. On the menu, they have boba drinks, the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, fries, the beef and chicken rice bowls and the rolled ice cream. They are all good, all flavorful. There are too many other inauthentic boba shops in the suburbs that rush cook the tapioca balls leaving them so hard to chew or too soft, and they use low quality powder that doesn't dissolve in the drinks. They don't represent boba well. This is not one of those places. This is one of my trusted places in this area barren of good Asian food and drinks. Bring your business here and you'll understand why others fail in comparison.
